Anyone here use or have an opinion on the BUFFALO DriveStation external HDs?  Fry's has a 3 TB version on special for $79 today. It needs an external power supply but I guess that is not a deal breaker since it just sits there anyway.

I bought the 4tb they had on special last week. I obviously haven't used it much (it's supposed to be an Xmas present), but it worked fine for what little I did. Runs pretty quiet and turns off when the Xbox does. The game I loaded from it (The Walking Dead S1) had no issues.

Seeing that XBL's definition of deals is usually games on demand in the area of retail prices or higher, this is not surprising. I think I bought about 3 purchases in the last 5-6 months(a pinball table, Xevious, White Night). All the while I have earned about 60$ in credit from MS store rewards bonuses. Theres about 50-100 games I would buy if they put them on sale, but I have a backlog and will wait it out or never buy.

Thanks. I decided to go for it. A little hesitant on the 3TB drives since I read they appear to have more failures but for $80 it seems like a good deal. I spent $55 on my 1TB drive so it is definitely better than that purchase.

 
I didn't take a picture of it but Costco has an Xbox 1 sale right now. $350 for a "Holiday" bundle including Lego Movie, Halo 5, and BLOPS3. Pretty good deal IMO

You have no chance of getting in before it launches. You have to be invited by someone already in the preview program, which doesn't guarantee you will even get in since MS is cutting down on the number of people they let in.

Mine just updated a few hrs ago. It's so busy looking and they moved everything around. It's going to take some time to get use to this.
 
So does anyone know how to remove DLC from the internal drive after transferring it to an external. I am getting a problem where the DLC is on both drives and it will not uninstall from the internal drive.  Really frustrating.

i can't say i know this works, but try removing the content from the internal while the external is unplugged.

I may try that if I cannot get it to uninstall. Right now I am finding it just easier to uninstall first from the internal and then do an install on the external.

I've got the 3 that were GwG, though I had already digitally double dipped on Gears 3. I wonder if they'll send out codes for games that are already owned digitally.

The initial list of BC games will be announced on Monday, so hopefully we will also find out about DLC for those games.

Yesterday was the "Mass Effect day" (N7) and they didn't announce it. Considering ME Andromeda is coming out holiday 2016 I don't think they're going to make a remaster. EA also said a few weeks ago that remasters are for those that have "no idea" and are on board for backward compatibility.

I bought them once I saw them on sale and plan on making a complete run with all DLCs soon, if they enable bc I'll do it on X1.

I felt the same way, based on all of the negative stuff I was hearing. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. It is very peppy in comparison to the old UI. Sure , things are moved around and it takes a bit of getting used to. And a few things (like the Gamescore leaderboard) are gone. Overall, though, it is a nice upgrade. Give it a chance and then make your decision.
 
After the fiasco I had upgrading to NXOE and eventually doing a system restore I'm actually really liking the new UI. I do miss the achievement leader board though.

Also when I was moving everything from my internal to my external I had to go to each individual game and select "move all" to get them onto my external.
 
Just a tip guys. When you get noxe on the dashboard there is a how to section. I suggest watching it. It tells you how to use the new dashboard and it makes it easier.

Does anyone have a good reason why ME2 and ME3 are not available digitally? My 360 stopped reading discs and I've been wanting to finish 2 and start 3, but can't. Now with the sale of DLC, I'd love to buy those but not sure I'll ever get to play them. WHY????

 
If the leaked list of BC games is to be believed its a pretty solid list with not many surprises, Alan Wake being the only game I have any interest in

Somebody said something several pages back about games with multiple discs not being available on Games on Demand.

Has there ever been another way? That's how I moved my games before I had NXOE.

 
Never played Alan Wake or Witcher 2 on 360. Getting those and shadow complex once they are on sale.

Does playing witcher 3 ruin witcher 2? It will probably feel like a huge downgrade...

 
I don't know why I'm so excited for more bc games, but I am. My 360 is plugged in literally right next to my one, it's just a matter of taking the tv remote and switching the input from hdmi 2 to hdmi 1.

Same. But now we get to see our XB games in one glorious collection of game tiles, placed in perfect harmony. There's also getting to play your 360 games using the XB1 controller (aka the greatest controller in the history of man.) Taking screenshots is also nice for capturing moments of excellence.

I honestly think Witcher 2 was a much better game. I enjoyed Witcher 3, but it's too big for it's own good and you're often engaged in what seems like an endless amount of fetch quests that just pad the game out to overstay it's welcome. Witcher 2 is technically worse in every way but the entire game feels more concentrated and you still have a great story with lots of things to do without overwhelming you with millions of worthless quests.

EA didn't bother using the upgraded SDK to make multi-discs games available on DD. Rockstar did for example, and all their games are available on GonD.

Not a single EA multi-discs game is available digitally. Battlefield 3/4; Mass Effect 2/3, Dead Space 2/3...
