Before I knew that WASD was what you used to move, I thought you simply used arrow keys...yeah.

Anyway I had Matt Hoffman BMX on dream cast and loved it, then somehow or another got it on PC and learned to play all the levels with the arrow keys and space bar or whatever jump and grind was.

Also the first time I'd actually heard Sublime. Became a huge fan afterwards, had all the CDs and listened to them for a good year or two every day in high school. Pretty sure some assumed I liked the reefer since that's what Sublime basically is intended for but nope...never smoked that dro

As far as I know, it's still broken. There were a few points where the game glitches and you can't proceed. I got hit with one. And recall that WB said they weren't going to fix with another patch either. This was after about five months after release. As a big fan of the Arkham series, that came across as a huge FU to the fans and I swore off Origins. It was a crap entry into the series anyway.
 
I downloaded a bunch of XBLA demos yesterday and ended up buying Poker Smash since it was so addictive. It's kind of like Tetris Attack with playing cards. Anyway, I couldn't get through the first stage in Bangai-O: Missile Fury mainly because I couldn't figure out what to do. It didn't play like Bangai-O on the Dreamcast at all. I got surrounded by enemies and blown up within seconds. Anybody have any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong? I love shmups but the game plays more like a twin stick shooter.

The new Bangai-O is not a shmup. It's a puzzle game, so you can't play it like the original.

To each his own, but the game is fairly simple for a strategy game. There are deeper levels you can go that might initially seem important and overwhelming (such as breeding for character traits), but you can ignore most of that. For anyone who played XCOM: Enemy Unknown, it will feel pretty similar.

Unfortunately, I've had to stop playing because of a game crashing bug when fighting Wrinklers. Apparently it's a known issue, but I don't keep playing games if they can crash on me. I just hope they patch it soon enough before I forget about the game and completely move on.

Also, for achievement hunters, the achievements do seem to flow fairly fast in that game..

Ah, OK. I like puzzle games but I'm on the fence about buying the full version. I try to avoid games where I don't have a chance in hell of advancing. That's why Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 are still untouched in my backlog. LOL!

I tried to play Halo 1 & 2 on the original Xbox, using component cables on 480p on my 40" LED, my god, they look absolutely terrible! Not to mention I never liked Halo 1 & 2 level design. They look great on the One, but ODST and Halo 4 take the crown, by miles.

It's not as much the graphics quality as it is the 30 fps v 60 fps.

 
If they don't announce Reach at E3 it's not coming. Rumor was Jun was going to be in the story somewhere, but he's not in the Locke's squad so if he is he'll be minor or a late game arrival at most, so I don't see them bothering. ODST made a lot more sense once we knew Buck was in the game.

Yeah, I logged out yesterday while playing and tried to log back in - it said there was 1 person in the queue (which was me) and it would take 1 second to log in - I had that for 5 minutes, after which I got frustrated and moved on.

I got about 30+ minutes of play, so far it looks little clunky and doesnt feel at all like an Elder Scrolls game. May be I will grow into it, but I didnt really get hooked in.

WHAT!? Seriously..do you know how long it takes to get 10,000 kills in battlefield by itself? Much less every class. Even if you can average 50-60 kills a match in a big open war type variant, those take at least 30-45 minutes. The population will be dead in that game by then.

The game doesn't have staying power like BF4. Now that it's fixed, it's fantastic and will be played for a long time. Just like BF3 is still popular. Hardline? The multiplayer kinda sucks. Good campaign though.

It's pretty pathetic if you ask me how those people are acting. If reddit chooses to limit subreddits it's free to do so and they're free to go elsewhere. Although I do think the incompleteness of their band is ridiculous letting many other horrible subreddits to exist.

From what I understand the awful subs that deal with abuse and death or racism didn't spill out. They stayed in their own corner. FPH started harassing people and brought candid shots of random overweight people. That's against the rules to harass other members and stuff apparently.

I just can't fathom the extreme hatred in numbers over fat people. I bet 90% of those people are fat themselves.

Imo, Halo 4 is one of the best looking games on the 360 so it isn't a surprise.

I think a lot of people didn't know about ESO coming out Tuesday, so it was actually playable. Then they bought it Wednesday and it was mostly unplayable due to getting kicked out of the server then long wait times to get in.

The short time I was in the server last night did feel smoother than Tuesday though. Wasn't able to play it long enough to get level 10 for the guild (at half bar from 9 to 10).

The queue position/wait time is broke. They mentioned it in Twitter a few times.

Realm Reborn is much higher quality visually, but also requires a paid subscription. I doubt that will be going anywhere, especially because FFXI still has a subscription. Too soon to tell how they compare with content. RR ran out of quests for me to do at level 40ish and turned into grindfest. I'll report back in a few months of ESO is, if they can get the servers working better.

RE4 wasn't at least partially funded by the platform holder like Dead Rising 3 and Street Fighter V.

I have that same suspicion because I don't see why so many healthy or successful people would contribute so much time to posting the content in fph. I will say they've made reddit almost useless if you're like me and just read all Subreddits.
