Yeah, it's been up for a couple days. It's not bad, decent change of pace, but the puck is so heavy that if you pass it along the wall near the goal it ends up scoring way more than it should. If they changed that I'd like it more, but I've been mostly playing standard since giving it a spin. The weight is nice for beginners though since it pretty much eliminates the aerial game.

Same exact story here, man. Bought the DLC and everything, now with the upgrade coming they went from a 10% chance of being played to like 0.1%.

"This is nothing new" is a pretty terrible reason to stop complaining about it, though. I gave up the fight, but it still irritates me that such a large portion of the current Xbox One catalog is mildly updated previous-gen games.

Can't wait to get home tonight and play more Saints Row IV: Re-Elected!
 
Re-releases don't usually hurt production on new games, help the companies get a bit more money, and let people who didn't have the systems last gen play some games they may have missed, however, if said games that get re-released or not are good choices are an entirely different thing.

I like that it's a full Remaster, with the works. Deep Silver also did an incredible job with Metro Redux, they at least put real effort into making the upgrade worth your while.

I'm excited for the Riptide remaster. I played through that with my brother and one of his friends last Summer and it was a ton of fun. Super short game and the ending felt like a crime because it was such a cliffhanger, but I loved every minute of it. 

Plus, fucking around with hacked weapons after all was done was super fun. I hope that there's still some way to do that on the new version. I'll definitely be buying the DI collection digitally.

Lol @ "exciting feature". Thats pretty common in RPGs. That's clearly a thinly veiled shot at Destiny.

Watch Bungie implement some loot trading system in the next big update after The Division explodes next week.

Thanks! Getting rid of the aerial game sounds interesting. I'll try to give it a shot tonight. I am horrible at making those aerial shots (timing's off) so maybe I'll do much better with a puck. Lol.

You are correct. But I loved trading in Borderlands 1 and 2 - so that is exciting to me. And the Incursions sound similar to Destiny's Raids.

I'm under the impression that opinions were a lot more mixed on Division's beta than Destiny's. I don't know if it's going to be the blow out some are expecting. Destiny being dead in the water and Borderlands 2 being fairly old are what's saving it at all for me, but I'm still not interested as of now.

If the game actually keeps a decent pace on it's updates, and doesn't fall into the same trap Destiny has of old content being near worthless, then I'll have a better feeling about it.

Snow Day is a ton of fun as a mode that leans very heavily on wall driving and requires more coordination between teammates because the puck will go flying past the goal most of the time if you try sneak it in that way. The puck also moves pretty fast, so boost is very important to have for clear shots that you get to shoot past opponents so they're out of reach.

The biggest knock I have against it is that people are shitty and refuse to finish matches they're losing, so I'm often matchmade into games that are already in progress. These are unranked matches, so those people lose nothing by finishing the game besides a chance at a new item.

I mean as far as updates go. They've slowed to a crawl and the last event was a joke. Rumor is the Live team are the only people working on it currently, which is 7 or 8 people, because everyone else is focusing on Destiny 2.

I'm not saying people aren't playing it, but I know a lot of people that are bored. I play with a Bungie fan community and opinions are all over the map.

 
Guess I'm not surprised by the Dead Island remaster given the death of Dead Island 2, the publisher and the dirt cheap prices for the original and Riptide.

It's a bit of a ripoff at $40 though, given there's a PC port already out there they just need to bring over, but at least some effort is being put into as opposed to something like Deadpool/Prototypes.

I can't justify getting despite having it on PC like I could with SRIV + GAT, since I own both DI games on 360 unlike those 2 SR games, and Riptide was a glorified overpriced expansion pack but maybe

Dead Island 2 was never officially canceled as far as I saw. Last news was the dev team Yager leaving and the game being moved to an unnamed studio. It's more like it's in development hell until we see something new. I kind of doubt Deep Silver will let it die based on their track record.

It hasn't been cancelled. Deep Silver took Yager off the project and has somebody else working on it, though we don't know if it's being restarted or if the new team has to continue on with whatever they've been given.

Sorry, I should have worded that clearer. It seems likely that the current version of DI2 has been scrapped, and they'll end up having whoever they threw it at re-do it, which'll take some time. In the meantime, Deep Silver wants to make money off the IP, so they pulled a remaster out of their ass.

It's a shame because Yager might have done something interesting with it. We'll see if they put a studio with a better track record on it.

 
The thing that stuck out about Dead Island 2 was during E3 one of the developers said the game would not have a main story.  They were more focused on the co-op experience and just creating great WTF moments.

Shadowrun is hands down one of my most favorite games of all time, not just on the 360. If I think back to fun online multiplayer that game is right up there with all of the COD, Rainbow Six and Halo titles.
