I can't bring myself to buy the stereo headset when I have a surround sound system hooked up. I know that defeats the purpose of the headset generally, but when I have a true surround headset for the computer (multiple small speakers in each ear) I can't go back to "just" stereo.

My surround sound system is incompatible with sleeping kids in the other room ... so the stereo headset is my fallback ...

So you think it looks terrible. I just watched the trailer for the first time and thought it actually looked pretty good. I'm not sure why you'd think it looks terrible, were you hoping for the surviving members of the original cast to return? Cause at this point those guys are pretty old and would probably just be phoning it in for a cash grab

Honestly I wasn't hoping for a new Ghostbusters movie in general, they made their movies and set their place and were amazing, we don't need remakes/reboots of everything. It's literally Bridesmaids mixed into Ghostbusters, it just doesn't have the feel of the original at all.

Edit: Wanted to add, I'm not saying like I would argue or complain if other people do like it, everyone can like what they want and that's fine :p It's just not for me.

I wasn't trying to argue, just wondering if there was a reason people seemed to hate it already. I did get the bridesmaids vibe from it, and having half the same cast isn't really helping that at all. I agree they could just left the franchise alone, but what company leaves money on the table. It may be unnecessary, but it seems like it will be enjoyable.

Now to get my 5 year old to watch the originals with me. I started watching Roger Rabbit with her which was a big mistake, hadn't seen it since I was around her age and apparently I had irresponsible parents
 
I really like Wiig and hate McCarthy so that balances out. I felt the originals were more movies that had comedic moments than full on laugh-at-me comedy. I don't care that they're female, I think the cast seems like they could pull it off if they tone it down more than the trailer suggests.

TMNT looks like the game and movie combo for me, and I couldn't finish watching the last one. Krang and Baxter and Rocksteady and Bebop.

 
The game is probably based on the old movie. The pinball machine that was just released is too, and he target demographics are quite similar.

Also, I had a ghostbuster game for my Atari 2600. What's all the fuss?? :)

Oh, I didn't think you were trying to argue either, just wanted to point out that I wasn't as well. Was just putting my opinion out there. But yeah, companies love their money by using franchises they already own haha.

On topic a bit, with the Halo posts you guys like so much, Warzone Turbo is a lot of fun and only up for the weekend so I recommend checking it out!

 
This is super off topic. But does anyone remember Breakdown for the original Xbox? It was trashed in reviews, but it really nailed the first person melee combat. It could definitely use a remake.

I had the one on the NES. So many stairs. I still hate stairs to this day because of it.

The SB6141 is a decent modem, but it's a bit old now. If I were you I'd get the SB6183 instead, it supports the highest speeds that Bright House offers and will be more future-proof. Currently $97 on Amazon.

Yes, it would be great if new generations would seek out great stuff from the 80s, but only a few are really going to do that. So if there's a great concept (like Ghostbusters) might as well reboot it for a new generation to check out.

To be honest, you're never going to replicate the original, so why not do something different? Ultimately, I think a reboot like this may actually lead more people who haven't seen the originals to check them out.

I loved A Nightmare on Elm St. as a kid and the crappy remake didn't magically overwrite the five different copies of the original that I have sitting around my house. They're still there.

I'm a little late but Platinum's TMNT game appears to be based off of the current IDW comics if anything. The book is pretty good. It is its own thing while drawing inspiration from most of the big Turtles of the past, including the Mirage books and the original cartoon. It's the best choice that Nickelodeon could have let happen.

Yeah, they even stayed true to the original designs of Bebop and Rocksteady. Im definitely getting it on day one.


Also...I started playing Zheros. Its really not that bad. If you like punching the shit out of computer enemies without having to worry about getting lost in a giant confusing open world, its a decent time waster. I wouldn't have paid for it, though. Hell naw.

I didn't seem to be feeling it last time the servers were up a month or so back with the Alpha but now for some reason I am?

I think I just was not in the mood for a throwback style of game like this that reminds me of my fps roots but now I am really liking it. Definitely seems to be a good transition of classic online madness with a slightly modern touch. Sadly my brain is trained though to want to level up and earn stuff to keep me playing. I have not kept up with this release, any idea the extent of the progression system in the full game? How many demons can we select from (only Revenant is available but since you select it I assume there are more)?

Thanks for the info on the Demons and stuff in Doom guys. I honestly think with that tidbit of info that is enough to convince me to buy the full game. Only problem is that it is right around the Overwatch beta/full release.... womp womp.

 
Not sure if anyone else preordered QB through CDKeys, but my code was just sent to me and the game is downloading now.  Got in when it was $47 in Feb, now hopefully I can get rid of the W10 code for like $20 if its not tied to my account

 
^ I wouldn't take that as fact, but okay. I'm not banking on it, but I wouldn't be surprised to get the W10 code and a AW code. I don't need the AW games as I already own those, but it would still be a nice bonus so I could drop them here.

The reason I wouldn't be surprised to get the W10 codes is because these codes from CDkeys are likely just pulled from console bundles and MS has no way of telling otherwise. Also I believe the only Pre order bonus is American Nightmare, and Im pretty sure all digital copies redeemed by the 5th receive the W10 code. Also it appears all copies retail or not include AW and dlc (but if this code comes from the retailer not MS I most certainly won't get it)



And there's only one real pickle around here and you're not him
