I don't know all the answers but I do know EA wants money for their service at some point. It does make sense if you weren't able to use it and they are extending it to you, but I haven't seen any info regarding an extension.
 
For anyone that's interested, fallout new Vegas runs really smooth on the Xbox one. Load times have been drastically reduced from what I remembered playing it on the 360 several years ago.
 
I think my Slim 360 Finally burned out.

Played through Bulletstorm over the weekend, went to turn on the system right now only to have it only make a sound but not light up.

If I touch the power button it makes the power on sound but doesn't light up.

If I touch the eject button, it makes the eject sound but doesn't open

the PSU's light is on and a solid orange, I was testing turning it on to test some USB charge cables I had found while looking for a PS2 power cord.

I didn't have my old saves to test it, I recall having bigger saves took longer... or was that Skyrim? I forget.

Either way the opening areas ran real smooth. It seemed to perform better on the X1 as well as load faster. I believe it was the same case with Fallout 3. Good job Bethesda and MS!

I transferred my 360 save file and loaded it up with all dlcs and my last latest save was in the desert area with all the fire ants and I'm lvl 49 but everything ran so smoothly. First place I fast traveled to was the south gate to the new vegas stripe and it took less than 5 secs. I then went up the tower to my pent house and the 2 load screens to get there is literally nothing. Feels like playing it on pc. Solid good port.

There's no distinct advantage to having the story DLC before starting the game. They all have recommended levels to start them, and they all take you to a new area of the world. The one that does improve the overall game is the Gunrunner Arsenal, as it adds new ammo types and weapons, along with new unique weapons to the entire game. I'd say it's low priority compared the the story stuff, though it does have Achievements. Courier's Stash also gives you a bit of stuff to start the game with, though I'd pass on buying it. It just bundled the 4 different pre-order bonuses so people could have them, which add a few armors and weapons to you at the start of the game.

Now, they don't directly tie into the main story and so don't need to be touched while playing the main story, but New Vegas has a hard cut at the end so you can't save after the final quest. The 4 story DLC are also mostly seperate, but they do have a couple over-arching storylines that span accross them, that built up to the finale in Lonesome Road, so I recommend playing them in release order, but really I'd just say play Lonesome Road 4th. If you only get one DLC to start, I recommend Old World Blues. I liked the area it added most, and it gives you a pretty kick ass player home to use for the rest of your game.

Overall I'd say just start the game. Fallout 4 doesn't really tie into New Vegas at all, with only a one minor reference to the New Vegas area that I've noticed. 4 has a lot more connections to 3. New Vegas is still my favorite Fallout, probably my favorite RPG, I 1655/1655'd the Achievements with about 300 total hours played I think, I hope you like it.

Faster load times is a big plus, but I'd guess longer loading for saves with more progress is still around. That's part of the trash engine they use and is still present in Skyrim and Fallout 4, even worse with the Settlement system.

 
As for BC talk, I'd definitely recommend Comic Jumper during it's next sale if you like comic books. It's a pretty solid 2D shooter, probably Twisted Pixel's best game. Plus, Piccolo voices both main characters.

I'm hoping some of my friends check out Halo 5 finally. I think the file size is going to be a barrier for a lot of people though. It's currently at 81.2 gigs for me, and there will probably be another 5 to 10 on top of that with the Firefight update. A week is plenty of time to finish the campaign if anyone is only interested in that though.

I may have stumbled across that Bloodstained E3 demo too, I'm pretty sure I'm going to back (pre-order?) it since you still can, just need to decide if I want to pay $30 more for one boss, one weapon, and having a physical copy. It's really on point as the Castlevania successor it is. It reminds me mostly of Symphony of the Night and Order of Ecclesia.

Hopefully Konami at least plays ball with more BC, I'd really like Revengance and MGS HD to make it. They don't seem to be doing any ports like Capcom, might as well aim for a few new digital sales.

Cool, thanks for the info. I plan on getting all DLC eventually as my OCD tells me to, but I'm impatient and I'd like to start the game and don't want to wait for another DLC sale. I'll probably get Courier's Stash since it's cheap and start the game. If the DLC goes on sale after I finish the game, I'll buy it all and revisit the game to play them.

FYI the redring of death for the Slim models seems to be the hulking external Power supply, I've replaced 2 here in dusty Arizona, sounds like the same symptoms

If you got a friend with one or even a "cool" Gamestop I'd take it in there and see if it boots with a different PSU, even though their prices are kind of high big surprise

Amazon has a bunch of "knock off" ones, official Microsoft was close to $50 new last time I needed one, but what I actually ended up going with is an adapter for an old 360 psu I had lying around, has worked perfectly going on 6 months. I think until someone is moving it for clearance the price has bottomed out for new in box, no more supply coming in. I managed to pick up 2 slims the last year for cheap on the used market, but see above the power supplies MS used for those are garbage, but better than a phat model red ringing

I'm having that issue with Doom 3 BFG. It's installed, but I still have the Install Disc icon and it won't go away. I have to launch Doom 3 from my library if it's not in my recently played. Are you on the dash beta?

Speaking of weirdness, ALL of my BC games disappeared from my Ready to Install list except for the EA Access games.

 
finally finished up doom, was a fun single player though a bit repetitive, may go back for all the runes to get some achievements but not for a while, onto rise of the tomb raider

ekim has had a good track record with GwG and BC leaks. Odd we are getting Banner Saga 2. It hasn't even come out yet. I guess we've had a newly released game before on the GwG in the past. Never heard of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, so that's a believable GwG. I already own RS Vegas 2 (Xbox 360), from Rainbow Six Siege.

There's a free DLC for RS Vegas 2.

Start. It was in my Ready to Install list and installed just fine, but when I try starting it, I get the error. I bought it digitally years ago during one of big countdown sales.

 
So Comic Jumper isn't in my ready to install list, probably because I got it through the twisted pixel bundle. Should I be hopeful for a fix? How about the people who bought the fable trilogy digital bundle... can they play fable 2 and 3 backwards compatible?
