You had to click claim prize. It took you to a second screen and then you had to click confirm or submit and it took you to a third screen that said you claimed that prize.

People put that because you're not supposed to email codes. Ebay doesn't condone selling digital goods, you're paying for the piece of paper they're supposed to ship you. So some people put free shipping, some people put local pickup. I'm just spitballing here, I didn't look at the listing or seller.

The issue is there's no standardized way to track delivery of digital goods. You could redeem the codes and then say the code was invalid and dispute the charges (and you'd win, too).

I always ship my codes, with the option to get them digital, putting in the auction I'm selling the codes as-is with no guarantees. Interestingly, everyone has chosen to have the paper shipped. Admittedly small sample size.

I just got my codes for GOW 1 and 2 about an hour ago. Still waiting on codes for 3 and Judgement. I played GOW: UE around the 29th-31 of Dec. So be on the look out for a new wave of Gears of War codes going out for people who haven't received them yet.

My eBay account was banned for 1 full year because of this eBay rule. I even changed my text to follow the "will mail code", but apparently that was not enough. I was convinced at the time that other sellers were flagging my items for Copyright infringement. But was told that if you get flagged for 1, your account gets monitored more closely. The first flag for my was by the fuckers at Speck who flagged my clearance bought item as a fake. I eventually made them reverse the complaint, but it was too late. You have no idea how painful it is to get hundreds of consecutive emails as they cancel all the items you have listed.

That is what happened to me about 6 or 7 years ago. I sold 2 WOW time cards I got as a gift even though I didn't play WOW. The first one I had no problems with. The 2nd one was bought by the same buyer. Positive feedback left for both, but two weeks later the 2nd one was disputed on Paypal. Already used the money, so my Paypal account was suspended despite still having positive feedback for the sale. I will always send the code physically now.

When did you buy it? Adam Fenix was a pre-order exclusive for the digital versions, and possibly from non-US Microsoft Stores as well. So if you bought it post release, there may be codes out there.

That's terrible. If they leave positive feedback, that should be interpreted as "item received as described."

I only provide codes digitally if the buyer requests it and the request is made through ebay's messaging system.

I honor those requests but include in my reply that I am mailing the voucher to them in accordance with eBay policy. This is also stated in my auction description.

It's too bad that no matter what, there is always a way a buyer can scam the seller.

I find it incredibly frustrating that most buyers are too lazy to leave positive feedback, especially when I make a polite request with every code I send. I just accept that as part of the risk, dealing with buyers that demand I send them codes instantly. All they care about is they can play that Call of Duty DLC RIGHT NOW. No time to leave feedback.

Just for the digital version? I pre-ordered the physical disc and got Anya + Imuslsion skin but no Fenix. I'd pay for a code if I could find one. I emailed Microsoft and they said TC was aware of missing character codes for preorders and would be sending out replacement codes soon but I think he was full of it.

That sucks. I used to sell some Xbox codes on eBay in the past. I got a warning once. Nothing else happened though. I guess a few people slip through the cracks, because I see people still sell digital games/movies all the time on eBay.

Listia.com allows you to sell digital items like Xbox game codes. You basically sell stuff for points and you can use your points to buy stuff from others. Might be a good way to unload some codes if you have any.

Just the Ultra edition should be fine I believe. The Combo Breaker pack is already part of that, and you'll have to manually search for Classic.

Yeah, just digital. The link I posted also mentioned a $10 Xbox gift card, but that's a regular preorder bonus for everything at the MS Store and wasn't just a Gears exclusive thing, right?

Did some more checking around on the official forums and saw some people asking if he could be included in the US physical MS Store release. Also found someone that posted a link to the Deluxe preorder URL, which is now a dead marketplace link with a different GUID than the current Deluxe Edition.

Since you guys were on the subject of selling on Ebay, I've thought about getting into it to sell some games/collectibles here and there. Do they charge you any fees if you make a sale on there, like Amazon does?
