Because people are Sith and only deal in extremes. I wouldn't say it has no gameplay, but what it calls gameplays is incredibly lacking and is only there to differentiate it from a book or movie.

Maybe your browser needs updating, I haven't noticed this problem in the most recent firefox but in past versions. Not sure if Flash would have anything to do with it, that also had a ton of security updates recently (kill it if you can).

I remember talking to people in a college about what a manipulative asshole Obi-Wan always was. Everything about the Jedi was so flawed. No wonder Anakin became a Sith. It just makes so much more sense since the rules of the Sith are just be a consistent dick, while Jedi rules are to be inconsistent, but smug dicks.

And in the end he did bring balance to the Force. The Jedi were losing their connection to the force by doing stuff like killing off emotions, getting involved with politics, taking kids from their families, etc. Him going Sith helped wiped the slate clean so Luke could learn how to be a Jedi in a more natural way.

I get games early for $5 because I can and I'm compelled to keep growing my disgustingly unfinishable backlog. I didn't get a review copy. That said, if people want an opinion on it, I'll give it a go tonight an post my findings

It's weird, but the corrupt Jedi needed to be purged. It's what Lucas really should've focused on in a way. It might have been a neat thing to look at the Jedi with this prime palace, their inability to act to protect the people of Naboo from invasion, condescending to Qui-Gon who is this rogue Jedi that sees how flawed they are. There's a deeper story there about how this gifted group of mystics become self-interested and passive.

When you first meet Obi-Wan, living in the desert with a modest home, ragged and without vain possession, it explained the simple life of a Jedi.

Then in Episode One we're show this grand palace, with plush seats, Masters being passive aggressive to each other, and high, high ceilings all around. None of it fit their code of trusting in the force, feeling the connection to it.

It would've made more sense to have had Palpatine be a Jedi Master, who in a way saw the decadence of the Jedi, and slowly moved to the Dark Side, able to bring Anakin with him as he saw the flaw of these spoiled men who watched a Galaxy go to war and do nothing about it until basically one of their own was captured. And even then one of their own had been killed.

Anyway...back to the games...

I just wish TFA would have featured something along the lines of SDI, or Ron Reagan's "Star Wars."  Starkiller base could have fired off that shot at the government's system and a shield could have repelled it.  Maybe Han Solo gets a line like, "Duh, we have scientists, too!"  Joss Whedon or Ben Gunn would have done something like that.  I had hoped JJ might bring more new stuff to the IP but they pretty much consisted of the frozen laser pistol blast and that mind trick Rey plays on Daniel Craig's stormtrooper.  Back to the constructing death stars bit, wouldn't you think there'd be a counter given that's the only idea the bad guys seem to dream up?  Alderaan - Never Again!  They make noise about democracy in the movies.  That'd be a helluva platform!

I'm just messing with you man. I know you're not a reviewer. That said, based on what I've read and videos I've watched, I think I'm gonna get it. Those other space sims seemed way to complicated for me to get into, but this seems like a much more simplified game.

I picked it up on PS4 last week after much internal debate. Only put a few hours into it so far, but it's pretty cool. Managing your ship upgrades and whatnot is not complicated at all. Combat took some getting used to.. and you'll feel way underpowered at first. Do a couple of the low threat missions that are laying around the map and you should get enough money soon to noticeably improve your ship. After that you should start getting the itch to keep doing missions for more ship upgrades, bigger better ships, etc.

I still get confused navigating sometimes as the waypoint system isn't great. But I'm much less confused now then I was when I was starting. Oh and the music is shitty shit. I'm a rock and roll kind of guy but I can't get into whatever it is they have in there. I can see they're going for that Firefly-esque western rock style but I found it to be pretty cringe-worthy.

Ugh, prices in general are ridiculous in MA.

I just want to move back to MI.

I currently have/live in a house in MA, but for the same price I could have gotten over 2000sq feet or more in my home town, or around my college town.

Come south! The house I live in would have been twice as much as it would have been in my hometown outside of Philly. And, no, I don't live in the boonies. I actually love Greenville, SC.

Low prices and low taxes mean more money to spend on games.
