Content listed as Smartglass on 360 store are there to indicate the game has Smartglass features. If you own Director's Cut on 360 and open the Smartglass app, you should get the same features the WiiU features had with the GamePad.

Director's Cut is coming "early 2016", with multi-disc support.

 
Played through Oxenfree. This game is AMAZING. Incredibly art style, memorable characters, great dialogue, the mystery is bonkers (think Lost), and it's overall one of my favourite gaming experiences of the past few years, up there with Life Is Strange for immersion and character development imho. The main downside is the lenght: my first playthrough took me around 4 hours, and the end is a bit sudden. Yes, the final 20 minutes have GRAND FINALE plastered all over it, but I still felt that it was a little rushed and could have been made better. Also it has no other languages besides English, but that is not a problem for you guys, it was something I did have to mention in my Italian review though. I gave it 8.7/10 because of that, but if you have no issues with English it's probably a lot closer to 9 out of 10. If you're looking for an incredible narrative experience and not a challenge in gameplay and puzzles, please do not miss out on Oxenfree, it's the first 2016 game that you just can't miss, and is already reserving itself a relevant spot in the top 10 lists people will be doing at the end of the year.

I love it as well. I think I'm very near the end but I'm still trying to track down all of agatha's letters. I have to do that before the "grand finale", right?
 
So the general consensus so far is that Zheros isn't too great, then? I read the game description earlier and noticed there were a few grammar errors here and there and strange choices for sentence structure; turns out the studio is from Italy, but it reminded me of those Chinese knock-off items I sometimes buy off of eBay.

I might just end up ignoring it since I have so much on my backlog already and I'll probably never get around to it, especially since the premise doesn't really interest me in the first place.

How similar is Oxenfree to Life is Strange? I mean content-wise. I know they're both dramatic games starring teens, but as I understand it Life is Strange is more about life issues. Is Oxenfree more a straight adventure?

Thanks for the info. I'm interested in it. Although the CAG side of me wants to wait for a sale. I do have a backlog that isn't getting my attention. Probably won't see any real sale for 6 months to a year I'm guessing. Still need to finish Life is Strange.

Funny you mention LOST. I loved that show. So interesting, but damn, there were so many questions unanswered in the end. Was a bit disappointing. Still a fun ride.

I heard them describe it as sort of like The Goonies movie. I always thought an actual next gen Goonies game would have been good. I remember the NES had some Goonies II game. I remember when that came out and hoping they'd have a sequel to the movie. They never did. :(

Well I finally got to play Gone Home last night and I enjoyed it for what it was.

$20 seems a little steep but I technically got it for $15 with XBL Rewards. Very easy 1,000/1,000 too

I felt much better about paying $20 than I did Pneuma......(regrets)

Oxenfree was totally off my radar, but it sounds pretty interesting.  I can't think of the last time I spent $20 on a XBL game, though.  Let alone a game *not* on sale.  Maybe I'll just go for it. 

One question, though.  Is it more 'drama' or more 'spooky adventure'?

I think Zheros marks the end of my  obsession with 100%-ing every game I play. It seems doable and probably would only take a day or 2 if I got serious, but Jesus this game is sooooooooooo boring! Wave after wave of fighting the same bland and unexciting enemies, all who take some time to kill. You can't even rush through the levels either as a barrier forces you to fight every single wave. I chugged through the first levels, eager for a change of scenery at least. I was devastated to find out that there are only 2 levels, each containing 10 stages.

Ugh! I just can't do this anymore. I love beat em ups and have long since accepted that repetition is part of the genere, but Zheros just doesn't try at all. It's not the worst beat em up ever or anything, but considering there are so many worthwhile games on X1, there is no reason to bother with this unless you must 100% every xbox game or something. Go play Streets of Rage 1-3, Castle Crashers or Golden Axe Collection, those are on X1 and are much better games.

Oh, and there is no online play, I would have at least rushed through this game once with a friend while we mock it, but the game denies me even that.

A 200 game console backlog would be decent sized, a 200 game PC backlog is considered pretty small. I was just joking though, I think my steam backlog is only like 600 games, which would get laughed at in the Steam thread

I don't think the leaks have pointed one way or the other. Activision's most recent (bad) TMNT games have both had retail release, though they were both 360/PS3 only.

I would say Platinum would mean a disc release, but Korra didn't get one. I'd guess TMNT is a big seller like Transformers though, so it probably will get a disc.

Online and open-world are fairly abnormal for Platinum too. Hopefully not, but it could just be limited to a challenge mode like Bayonetta 2. Or it could be a clusterfuck like Anarchy Reigns. I highly doubt the C team that works on these licensed games is involved in with Scalebound, but maybe they are and this is practice for that open world. Kamiya has said he likes at least the original TMNT movie in the past...

 
Well you guys are right, Zheros is absolute trash. Beat the first level, quit the game and uninstalled.

That felt like the devs took 20 steps backwards instead of creating a "next gen" title.

The combat is slower than Resident Evil 1

 
Agree with everyone on Zheros. It's so blah and the lack of any variety kills it.

Ashame, when it was announced, I really was hoping for a good beat 'em up.

While PS+ isn't great, whenever it is a new indie game it almost seems like MS intentionally picks games it knows wouldn't sell otherwise. This and Deer God are prime examples. Meanwhile, Rocket Cars on PS+ was on many GoTY lists (even though they have had many clunkers like this month's Hardware Rivals).

After seeing that Oxenfree is only 4 hours in length, I'll wait till it's $10 or less. I waited to buy Life is Strange at $10, and my wife and I thought it was pretty good. We were expecting a life-altering experience after all of the discussion here, but we didn't get sucked into it nearly that much. Maybe it wasn't targeted at a couple in their thirties, but then again, our 14-year old showed little interest in it either.

Maybe I need to play Deus Ex on the computer after all. Twice I died to the first two enemies. Once via cover and scoped shots, once via run and gun. My backlog is big enough I don't need this shit.

Shooting people is usually not the best way to play Deus Ex. You're better served playing stealthily in my experience.
 
Yeah it's only the beta and its okay, I'm still gonna buy it. Maybe the full game will impress me more. Feels more like an expansion than a real sequel so far.
 
I'm a little disappointed that the gardens and graveyards mode is still super favored toward the defending team. Had one game where we needed about 30 seconds more to push the final objective the last 20 feet and the entire team was super on point. None of the other games I've played in that mode have gone past the second objective unfortunately.

More depends on the team you have and if they know how to use their classes properly.. I remember when the first Garden Warfare came out, defense almost always won because nobody knew what they were doing. Now offense and defense wins about 50/50. Probably will be the same with GW2. The first day only defense won for us. Then offense was winning a lot 2nd day. Sadly I can't play today or tomorrow :(

So I think I totally misinterpreted this. The DLC is NOT free right? He's just saying that if you buy or own the DLC, you can only play it on 360 and that it is not yet compatible on the XB1? At first I thought the DLC was part of the free GwG but it's showing up as $5.99 when I try to download it... Dang...hopes shattered... :whistle2:(

I thought that when I first read it too. You are not alone in thinking we were getting DLC with it.

 
I thought I remember on Xbox One that sometimes the DLC is included (not on 360 though). I guess we won't know for sure until the DLC becomes backward compatible.
