I was watching someone stream that makes money off of fighting games and he went through story mode because connections were being awful. When connected it was fine, the battle lobby system is busted. I'll end up getting SF5 on pc, but it's a mess right now.

It's super addictive, soccer is like my least favorite sport and I have no interest in watching/playing games of it (Outside of like Mega Man Soccer or the Mario ones) but I ended up playing it for quite a long time yesterday, it's nice how you get an unlock if you win or lose still, and it's honestly just a lot of fun.

i am an average gamer, not good at fighting games and the only one i have been playing a little is killer instinct because its a little easier and fun, but companys releasing unfinished games and making customers troubleshoot them while collecting money or never fixing anything because they deny everything or wont spend the money is increasingly getting more common. until consumers stop preordering or buying week 1, they have no reason to stop this nonsense or when they break up a game to sell as dlc until people just stop buying to encourage their behavior. i have only bought week 1 or preordered when i liked the ce/le or have read reviews from jp since most games i get are anime type so they always get it before us. besides sony like nintendo have the worst servers out their and wont upgrade or spend more for more servers, if online is that important when buying a game then always for xbox since they maintain and have more to work with

Re: Rocket League - I do think over-hyping it a bit prior to launch set some expectations unrealistically high, but it is fun and has enough carrot-on-a-stick unlocks to keep you interested. I wouldn't say it's a must-buy, but maybe a must-buy when it's on sale. I absolutely and completely suck ass at this game (have yet to score a goal in an online game after playing close to 10 online matches) and the control seems kind of shitty, but I'm assuming at least some of that is just getting used to it and learning more of the technique involved. Even as a terrible player, I'm still having a decent time playing with randoms.

 
I'm interested in it just because of the positive reception it's received, methinks. I'll wait for a sale, though. The game needs a trial or demo if it hooks you that quickly.

Re: Rocket League, are you setting the view to Ball Cam (Y button)? It's keeps your view locked on the ball and makes it a lot easier to line up and time your strikes.

$60 for the game + $40 for the SP, pretty standard pricing. Since Gold Editions being the version of the game that come with the SP is now becoming a thing, I would love to see the Gold Edition be slightly discounted (~$5-$10) over buying the game and the SP separately.

I hear you. I am getting Primal next week, too.

And after playing 3 hours of GW2 last night in Access, I will definitely grab that as well. Very fun, always feels like you are making progress. That game is constantly rewarding you, it is an XP-a-thon, plus I love the sound effect when you open the Sticker Packs. Is that weird? Probably.

I nabbed the Season Pass on GS when they had it mis-priced at $30 so there is at least that for me haha

I am still on the fence on the game in general even though.

Yeah, same here. I know 100 bucks is a bit much, but more and more games seem to be somehow jumping from the 20 dollar range of not that long ago for season passes to anywhere from 30-50 bucks, so I'm not exactly shocked. Like you said, GCU and a $5 cert I had took some of the sting out of it.

I very rarely preorder, but this was one where the beta impressed me enough to go for it.

 
Random question - any Witcher 3 fans know where I can find the physical Gwent card decks for sale? I have the 2 decks that came with the first expansion from GameStop but I'm wondering if I can track down the other two decks (Northern Realms and Nilfgaard) that were originally sold with the collectors edition.
 
Loving Rocket League, control is basically perfect, playing randoms is even fun. Biggest problem is that creating a party to take online is apparently broken. The workaround is joining a match and then inviting friends after people quit. Hopefully they fix this soon!

Yeah, they really should work on a patch/update to make partying up much easier. There is no way to join a friend in-game. And the Join Game option is always greyed out when you're looking at a friend's profile. Then afterwards there's no way to leave an in-game party except to dashboard.

The way my friends and I grouped up was for one person to create an in-game party, then use the Xbox party option "Invite party to game" to get everyone in.

You might wanna check your email. They emailed basically everyone (It seemed that way at least) and said they weren't going to honor that price and would charge cancel your order if you replied to that email or charge you the full price of it upon release. Just a heads up if you got in on that and didn't check your email/notice it.

I find this odd. Me and my friend had NO problem going into games together. Just pressed "X" on the main screen, invited him to game and then he was there, started a game and he was there with me lol

Unfortunately they are sky high on eBay. I would love a cheaper alternative too but it doesn't seem likely at this point
