The Just Cause 3 Sky Fortress DLC is a hell of a lot of fun.  The rocket-propelled wingsuit completely transforms the game.  And the performance patch they released last Friday helped tremendously.  The game runs buttery smooth now even with a ton of shit exploding at once.

I'm 35 and... I just couldn't continue with the series after the first Episode.

I've been wanting to go try the later portions, but it felt more teen melodrama than thriller in the first episode...

Groo, as far as I know, yes you can. I've completed the campaign and liberated everything on the map long before the DLC hit. The DLC just shows up as new missions and a new area on the map. Once you complete the introductory mission, you have the new wingsuit, which is equipped with machine guns and rockets. It's handy for the new area but I would think it's basically game-breaking for the rest of the stuff. Flying around as Rico "Ironman" Rodriguez would make the campaign super easy, but that's just my opinion.

 
Life is Strange is largely a mystery/thriller series with The Butterfly Effect and Twin Peaks as major influences set in the Telltale mold. If you think it's something else, you've only played the first episode. 

 
I was so ready to pull the trigger on it last night but purchasing was borked and not letting me. Now I'm saving my money for the spring sale.

I'm thoroughly prepared to regret my decision.

If the teenage atmosphere/lingo drive you nuts in the first episode, I don't think you'll find the rest of it entertaining as it doesn't stop or lighten up. There's just more going on and it distracts you from those kind of little things. I just assumed people get used to it by the end of the first episode. It didn't take me long to put that aside and enjoy the game for what it is.

To me, it doesn't seem like a big enough concern to pass on a good experience. It'd be like not watching Beavis and Butthead because Butthead does random 'Uhhh Huhh' in between sentences. We all have our tolerances though.

I've only played a bit of Life is Strange and I like it, but if the girls on the front entrance of the dorm / paint puzzle is any indication of the use of her powers in the game, I'm screwed. I would have never figured that out without looking at a walk through.

No offence, but that's one of the easiest puzzles in the first episode. You may need to use a walkthrough for parts of it then.

Thanks for the shoutout man haha, appreciate having you there! As for the game itself, I felt it was worth the $5 at least, it had some crappy camera angles and you have to make sure you save whenever you can so you don't lose progress, but it was unique and different enough of an experience that it was worth the price just to try at least. Might have to work on Life Is Strange soon with all the debate about it here :p

Yeah, I must be an idiot with this game. Oddly, I do better at games like The Talos Principle or the Portal games.

Or maybe my brain was fried from a day's worth of troubleshooting work related computer programming problems. I'll look for any excuse to make myself feel better ;).

They don't tell you that in game though. The line-forming was my favorite thing so far. How do you have npcs that can't interact with more than one person?

Griefing sure is real, especially when you get bonuses for doing it for a long time. Me and a buddy of mine ran into the Booty clan the first night of the open Beta, and they were really good at killing agents. My buddy was obsessed with them for hours and then they finally went away, but he did not like the fact that they were killing agents left and right. It's part of the game so I (mostly) rolled with it. :)

Please correct me if I'm wrong... but that doesn't look like a discount at all for previous owners. Wasn't the original game $19.99? Meaning that someone new to it can get the definitive editions for $19.99, but a previous owner would end up paying $24.99?

Thats the price you pay for buying games on release when they are most relevant compared to waiting a year for a discount. It's only $5 though which is pretty generous instead of making everyone rebuy it for $20 again which they easily could have done.
