I know it's considered shady by some, but codes for Skyrim have been around $5 fairly often on sites like gamesdealdaily.com and cdkeys.com Pretty sure gamesdealdaily is where I saw it for less than $5 recently. Note that prices seem to fluctuate for whatever reason.

Personally, I've never had an issue with either of the above two sites and a few other similar sites.

 
Ok Microsoft, I see ID@Xbox as an extension of the indie games on XBLA and we're supposed to be celebrating indie games this month. So my request to Bloomy is to get some of those damn XBLA games on sale!

Mark of the Ninja and the Shank games would be nice (preferably with BC).

Possibly old news, but news to me. I just discovered that the free Xbox 360 skin pack trials work on Xbox One. So if you get any of those, check your manage installs section of Minecraft (Xbox One) for those skins packs. You'll have a few unlocked one.

Cannot decide I want to buy any of these "indie" games.  Some interest me and some look like easy achievement points.  As someone who waited to spend $16 on Arkham Knight I am finding it hard to spend $10-15 on a game that will only last a few hours.  At this point I am considering:

  6. Beyond Eyes
I have Never Alone on the PS4 but I am still considering this for the achievements.  I cannot help but think some of these end up as GWG in the next year though.

My thoughts exactly, that's why I was underwhelmed by this sale. It's rare that I boot up an indie game more than once. Even the good ones, I boot up once, think "Hmm, that's neat" but I never seem compelled enough to go back to it and invest a chunk of my time into it. I almost considered NERO because of the price, but in reality even $3 is too much for a one-time-play. There was a short time in the early 360 days where indie games had replay value, but I honestly can't stomach any more sidescrollers, isometric shooters/hack-and-slash, or hipster first-person storytelling games. And if the game is designed to look like an 8-bit game, it gets put on my shitlist immediately. It stopped being cute years ago, now it's just lazy.

Submerged looks like it could be decent, but like you said, I usually wait for a $10 price point on retail games I've wanted since launch as I already have enough games to keep me entertained till then. No chance I'm spending more than that on an indie game I had never heard of up until this sale.

Now, if A Hat in Time would ever effing launch, that's an indie game I'd pay more than $5 for.

IMO:

Gone Home, Submerged, and Never Alone are good games that are worth picking up. Gone Home is my favorite of these, but Submerged arguably has the most content and is the most "typical game"-like experience.

Three Fourths Home and Beyond Eyes are kind of weak, I wouldn't bother with these unless you just want to experience them, or the easy gamerscore is a big selling point.

I haven't touched Lifeless Planet yet and haven't put enough time into Oxenfree to be able to judge (but tbh, my first impression after playing a few minutes of Oxenfree was to be annoyed at the grating voice acting).

I can not recommend Gone Home for anything more than $5. I would pass on that one.

Can't comment on the others but I am really enjoying Oxenfree. Yes it's a "walking simulator" but the writing is fantastic, funny and clever. I was worried going into it that I may be bored but heard too many good things about it so gave it a shot. Glad I did.

Anxious to see how the sci-fi story plays out and with multiple endings, I can see myself playing through it again.

It has something to do with their sources/methods of acquiring codes. I don't know exactly, but if they were to sell codes they 'illegally' acquired then the buyer could be facing penalties or whatnot since the code was redeemed on their account. From what I see, they always deliver what they're selling so they have good rep there. It's the code itself that holds the risk.

I've never personally bought a code from those sites, but I wouldn't mind trying them out if they had a deal I was interested in. I've just yet to see an appetizing deal that was in stock at the time I checked.

I still need that, it's super hard now though because I'm max level on it so the ppl it matches me against didn't just start playing anymore.

I went 26-0 in a match a long time ago and didn't realize that you need 1 death to unlock the 20-1 achievement so I still don't have that either.

I had 3 quadrakills before getting this. Nothing worse than rolling up on the last guy only to have someone snipe that last hit away lol. I was only playing arena to get the 500 Kill/Assist quest finished today so getting the Pentakill was a pleasant surprise
 
So I have a bit of an odd question.  If I bought Rare Replay digitally on the xbox website would I be able to download the 360 games that come with it to my 360, or can they only be played on xbox one?  In other words would I get banjo and banjo 2, perfect dark, etc. available in my 360 download history?  I don't have an xbox one but I want the two banjo games and it would be cheaper to buy rare replay, plus I get a few bonus games.

I picked up Never Alone around release cause it looked interesting. I liked it ok until I got to the part where you have to throw bolas at crap, which you do by holding the stick 180 degrees from the direction you want it to go in (so like you're pulling your arm back to throw). This was frustratingly difficult to accompolish while on the run. I gave up at that point, probably less than half an hour in.

The behind the scenes explaining the motifs and mythology was fascinating, the story seemed cool, but the gameplay was not drawing me in even before I ragequit.

They're grey market sites that get a lot of their codes from inserts and bundles that are not meant to be sold separately. On rare occurances you might get a used or invalid code, but could easy get a replacement or refund on request.

Doesn't look like it. I have Rare Replay digital, and those games aren't in my 360 download list.

Pretty sure they're only the X1 version and will not work on 360. When I put my rare replay disc in, the games were a different version than the 360 games I already owned.

I supposed you could but in fact you cant. All 360 Rare Replay titles are only playable on the One.

WWE2K16 Deluxe Edition seems like a pricing issue since the base game and the one with season pass and everything else is included at the same price. Anyone that wants it might wanna hurry in case it's a mistake.

I might do something with Payday 2 for that price, but still on the fence.

 
A Roman Reigns edition of a WWE game on Xbox One?  It's like they don't want me to buy the console.
