i think I am obligated to grab this $4.50 hardline. I got BF4 at $9 a couple weeks ago and had fun w that. At 4.50 it seems like the campaign would be worth it.

Co op wasn't a major element in previous ones mostly 5 and 6. So with the exclusion of it won't hurt gameplay, especially with 4 being one of the top rated and it was single player only.

from a game purchasing perspective, I'm not renewing the bb gamer's club, will only buying play anywhere games on digital. I hope MS continue to do the $15 reward for digital game purchases. that's essentially $45 (cheaper with xbox credit deals) for new games that plays on xbox and pc that can have better experiences in the future with new hardware.

As I understand it, it does work but no longer has a dedicated port. I heard that they'll send an adapter but you have to provide the serial numbers of your kinect, old X1 and your new slim X1. Seems like a bit of a hassle.

Physical games pre-ordered at www.microsoftstore.com give you a free $10 code to use on their website, but if your email address from that pre-order matches the email address of an Xbox Live account that is signed up for the rewards program you get 15,000 rewards points which equates to $15 of X-bucks dumped into your account a few weeks later.

It's funny that Sony is getting flack for getting their fan base excited for the future, meanwhile Microsoft has shown several things the past 2 E3's that not only didn't have release dates, they didn't even have game play, just cgi trailers and on top of that some of their showings went on to be cancelled like the Coalition's original game, Phantom Dust, and Fable Legends.. Also people made a big deal of Crackdown 3 last year which is now a no show this year. But Microsoft gets a pass this year because all they showed for the most part was games shown last year..?

I like that Sony uses E3 to showcase things coming in the future and then they use Gamescom, PSGW, TGS, and PSX for all the other nonsense..

 
Also, I'm flabbergasted that they are able to shrink the size of the :xb1: console AND integrate the power supply.  I would have been impressed if they had shoved the PS inside the console and kept it the same size as it is now.  I also hate that ugly ass brick sitting on top of my wall unit...

I won't be surprised if they stop Kinect production in a year or so. Having to put in a bunch of serial numbers to be mailed an adapter is a fairly big inconvenience for a virtually dead accessory. Even the one big game that used it, Just Dance, now lets you use a phone app as a controller, unless that's changed from last year.

I want to play an Xbox One version, I don't want to play in the BC mode, I'm not even a fan of that, the only game I wanted to be BC never will be and won't get a new version either probably: Rock Band Blitz

I want to earn the achievements again too

Other little things too, like game hubs and dvr (These might be for 360 titles too idk)

it's only a hassle if you don't have those 3 things. i mean...i thought it was a hassle at first but then i thought about it a little bit more. serial numbers can be found in the xbox dashboard. are you just annoyed that they don't send an adapter to everyone that asks for it without proof?

if you ditch your old xbox before you get the slim, you can either record the serial number and hold onto it until you need it or you can get your serial number from xbox.com if you registered your console there.

these seem like reasonable measures to get a free accessory.

Console serial numbers can also be found on the Preview Dashboard's console registration screen, obviously only if you have the app.

I've noticed that too at several E3s now. Sony tends to make multiplat games seem like exclusives. They were practically screaming exclusive a couple years ago when showing off Destiny. I think MS had the better show. They were definitive about what was exclusive and they gave specific dates (for the most part).

Hey, I just noticed this while putting in feedback for the preview. It would be nice to have added to the OP for other Preview members with the latest update.

I was hoping for at least they would put out some of those BC games they've been sitting on forever after announcing, like say Skate, Bioshock or Burnout Paradise. BC didn't even get a passing mention in the conference besides the fact that everything will basically be BC from Xbox 1 on.

Wait, this was the reason I was interested in the console.  I wanted year 2017 games that run at 30fps on the current XB1 to run at 60fps on Scorpio.  It seems like a reasonable expectation that Microsoft would work with developers to make that happen.

Instead its main benefit is that it'll have a higher native resolution?  How does that help me if I don't have a 2016-or-newer TV to take advantage of 4K HDR...?

Phil needs to tell his operatives to go dark.  Their messaging is all over the place (as evidenced by 'developers choice' versus 'across all XB1s').

 
With that much power there's no way every game won't run at 60fps right? That's some weird shit to say. I'm with you, fuck 4K, I just want 1080p/60fps on every single game.

I mean if you're gonna sell me a $500-$600 piece of hardware, I expect that to be the basics. 4K, VR, all that shit is complementary, take it or leave it for me. But 60fps is absolutely non-negotiable.

Honestly, it doesn't annoy me at all. I don't own a kinect nor do I plan on buying the slim (unless the fine folks at CAG find some insane deal). Truthfully, I hadn't given it much though at all but my initial bristle at the thought of the serial numbers comes from the fact that I've had to call Nintendo with both my old serial number (which thankfully I saved because I knew how bullshit their transfers were) and the new serial number to transfer wii U content instead of pushing a button like sony and microsoft. In reality, it'll probably be a text field on an online form to order the part.

Though, I don't understand why they want the old console serial number. It seems like the kinect and the S would be sufficient. It sucks for people who already sold their old console (but kept their kinect) in preparation for the new one or the people who aren't following game news like us who will inevitably sell their console before getting the serial number. Those are the exact type of people who wouldn't have registered their console on xbox.com either. You're right though, other than including the adapter in the box of new S consoles, which would have been a financial waste given most people don't have a kinect, it's a fairly reasonable accommodation.

Edit: Also if we wanna talk about shit that annoyed me (okay not really annoyed but disappointed), it's no new backwards compatible titles. I really wanna play civ rev with my friends again. Also I think the idea that some people have put forward, that scorpio will be $600 or above is crazy. That seems like way too much for mass market appeal. If it's more than $499 USD I believe they have messed up.
