I'm sad that the Steep beta sucked so bad. I guess I'll probably grab it when it hits $20 or so, but not before. The good thing is that, since it's an Ubisoft game, that's likely to be 2 weeks from now. ;)
 
Gears just updated with the new maps. I don't have access to the developer playlist or new maps, but I still have the 2 maps that were already out. I guess if you have a friend with the season pass it's worth logging in split screen to get all the bonus gear packs at least.

More off topic: on my X1 dashboard, Fractured But Whole says "ready to start" (I preordered it). I giggled like a school girl while I fired it up, only to be taken to the store page that says it's available 3/31/2017. What the fuck ?

They will soon have daily login rewards but that doesn't start until who knows when. Right now you won't get anything special.

However... the developer playlist has double XP and credits, and this extends to bounties as well! Only thing is you have to play on Normal and I think you need a full 5 man crew.

I still haven't gotten mine from the Darksiders remaster that came out even before that. Called and they said something about a new policy where you wouldn't get them until 31 days after. But that's BS because it means you also can't return it if you don't get the points.

I like how I pop in the Vermintide disc and it installs 1.47GB from disc and 12.08 from the internet...

Went to play a quick multiplayer match in Doom after a long day of hell (no pun intended) and there's a 15gb patch required for bot support and a few new skins. I've got them next gen blues.

Played a bit over 10 hours of Dead Rising 4, completely finished the mall, and should be able to finish the rest by this weekend. I like the game, but don't love it like I did 3. Reminds me of Dark Souls 2. Feels like a bigger and better game, but I liked the previous game more.

My biggest issues are with difficulty and glitches. The game is way way too easy. At the rate I'm going at now, I don't expect to have any deaths. Had to restart the game several times due to glitches. One glitch didn't even get fixed with a restart (subtitle stuck on screen).

Final Fantasy XV Update Roadmap

Short-term goals
First, we will update the experience of Chapter 13’s gameplay. For that reason, we are undertaking many enhancements such as increasing the power of the ring’s magic. We will inform you of the details of updated content at a later time.

Mid-term goals
Updating the production of the second half of the game, further enhancing the experience of the story. For example, we are planning to add event scenes where “What happened to Ravus?” was from. Long-term goals

So... the game they shipped and sold is not finished, then? The long-term goals and season pass stuff sound fine to me, but updating the story after many of the most eager-to-play fans have already beaten the game is absurd. I always appreciate when companies continue to improve a game, especially if they are adding MP content to extend the life or expanding new SP content (Burnout Paradise comes to mind) but come the Shaq-Fu on. This is worse than Mass Effect 3 - at least the update was all for the ending cutscenes, so you could just reload your final save and see the expanded ending. But the whole second half of the game?

I still plan on playing through it and likely won't have the time or interest to play it again for a very long time, so I'm pretty annoyed about this.

The game feels very unfinished. It's a good game, but not great because of that.

There is absolutely no development of characters other than the 4 in your party, and even that is pretty scarce. There's the dumbest most final fantasy thing ever at the end (ch 13/14) and it's never even mentioned. It's such a huge part of what happens and it's literally 5 minutes, lol.

The open world never truly develops either. It was a good game, but it took me 35 hours to beat (and that was going slowly) and like 55 hours to 100%

 
Well since we were down yesterday I didn't get to say Microsoft Rewards had 5 points to order Dead Rising 4 from the Windows store for $80 w SP lol.
 
Interesting stuff about Final Fantasy XV, I'm on chapter 3 but now wondering if I should wait to continue. Of course, who knows how long it will take SE to update it.
 
The new free Jingle Cells Prison is now available for The Escapists. Just update the main game to get it. Look for it in "Downloadable Content" in the game. The game was a former GwG. I was expecting a separate add-on like Santa's Sweatshop.

I'm only on Chapter 3 but have logged ~18 hours doing hunt and quests, I like that there's so much to do. But I kinda wish the giant cities were accessible because driving around the desert to scarcely populated towns all day seems like it will get old, despite how much there is to do.

I am really enjoying it though and look forward to more, I just wish they would have delayed it for 6 more months and released a finished product. The day one patch already added more content than can fit on the disc (in the form of cut scenes in the opening) and with all these other updates, I'm not sure we'll ever have a stand-alone hard copy of it which doesn't require internet access, and that really sucks.

 
I wish Larry would give us a heads-up the night before we're going to get garbage on BC Day.

This made me laugh - mostly because Darby has been dying for Shadowrun to go BC. Big day for the lil' pickle.

As a side - I've never even heard of Space Ark, but that hilarious boxart makes me want to play it.

Yea. The game is fun, and that's what really matters. I already sold my copy on ebay, and won't be going back to it soon. I'll watch the cut scenes on YouTube to see what gets added tho.

FYI the disc is still $4.99 at GameStop, but I bet that won't last long!

Double check your ready to install lists. Shadowrun was accidentally listed as free years back. If you were able to snag it when it was free then you should own it. My friend who I game share with grabbed it when it was free, I didn't. I still win.
