Yea my wife and I both work in a hospital and her usual shift is 2am to 2pm. And I'm fortunate to work a first shift, but when I'm on call I'm usually up all night. So we feel your pain. Hang in there!

My parents rented me an N64 from Blockbuster with Starfox 64 because we couldn't afford to buy the system yet but I was dying to play SF. I don't think I've ever had a longer, more absorbed gaming marathon than that, at least not solo. Later, there were all-night Goldeneye MP parties where we accidentally stayed up until 5am.

I was on last night from to 10-10:50 in the CAG network and again this morning during its happy hour (7-8).

I thought I recognized a fellow thread member this morning but not sure. Looking back at players recently met I didn't see it. Mrclutch with some numbers after the gamertag. He was on the other team and finished in first on his team. Was Attrition on Crash Site

Otherwise I haven't recognized anyone either.

Regened to 3 this morning. I will probably get on later tonight and join the CAG network again for the Happy Hour.

Nah I had plenty of sessions like that. When I was 7 or 8 I played through all of SMB3 from beginning to end (no whistles) and had to leave my NES on when I would have to take breaks. Keyword for Star Fox was "most absorbed" because the hours just melted away. Oh to be a kid again and have the hours to kill with all the insane games that are out now.

lol I am actually one of those people in the network. I 100%'d the campaign, decided to finally give the multiplayer a shot, joined the network, and realized I was having way more fun with Doom's multiplayer so I stuck with that. I just don't have the patience for the 1-shot death die-respawn-die CoD gameplay like I used to.

Doom just had a 2-week double XP event, but I want another. It's Christmas and I want to play a multiplayer game instead of socializing.

Yea I was on at 10pm and saw a name I didn't recognize, maybe it was you. But I invited my cousin to play and it started a party where I couldn't see the #CAG party. So i missed any other CAGS that may have been on.

I was in a party last night with a friend too. So maybe there were some others. I only notice 1 or 2 people in there most of the time.

Strange I found Doom MP harder (on PSN anyway). With Titanfall 2 I can at least stay alive and string some kills together most games. Not a lot of one shot one kills. I guess maybe if it is a Titan shooting at a Pilot and doesn't miss. COD hasn't been fun for me in years. Titanfall 2 seems different enough and I am not just canon fodder.

I have trouble staying alive in Titanfall or any CoD game. My k/d ratio is usually .50 or less, as for every kill I get, I die immediately and usually go a few more lives before I can get another kill (I get a "Comeback Bonus" with every kill). I've played those types of games long enough so that I should be good at them by now, but I never turn those games off in a good mood. With Doom, I have to pry myself away. I'm usually in the top 3 on my team. I just like being able to defend myself if someone saw me first; every confrontation with an enemy is a battle, just like in the older arena shooters, instead of being a battle of who shot first. I guess that's why newer shooters are called twitch shooters.

I will agree that Titanfall 2 is better than any previous CoD in recent memory, and I approve of a lot of things they do differently. But same rule applies; my twitch instincts aren't good enough to keep up and stay alive.

Saw deluxe digital sale for BO3 is $60 but is the player count there still high or would I be better off getting COD iw+MW remaster? Have some credit so B)3 would be $20 and IW+MW would be $15. Opinions anyone?

The player count is high with any CoD game, really. IW's multiplayer is pretty terrible, but I think the general consensus was that the MW remaster was great despite the recent addition of microtransactions for skins. BO3 was well-received and lots of people play it, but it's futuristic, and a lot of people are turned off by that. If you want a classic CoD multiplayer experience, get IW and MW remaster and uninstall IW after you finish the campaign. IW's campaign >>>>>> BO3's campaign, IMO.

I can't speak for zombies, though. I only played one match of BO3 zombies and never bothered with the IW zombies.

I'd probably agree with Luriden on all counts. I think for the overall cost of the game, BO3 MP is worth it over IW. Eventually, with sales the way it is for IW, they're going to split off the remaster for sale. It's inevitable.

I really hope they do... They're gonna piss a lot of people off though
 
The FIFA 17 marketplace listings are counting down to 7pm Eastern tonight rather than 3pm like when the other daily deals have gone live.  Maybe they've got something else lined up for them, or perhaps someone at MS caught on to the fact people were hunting the marketplace at 3pm and switched the daily deal time to screw with us.

$11 is nice for 4 games with the Saints Row/Metro pack ... they've all been dirt cheap before and I have all of them on PC, but grabbed it anyway to have for Scorpio when it comes out late next year.

I don't see MS caring *that* much about it. They haven't gone to great lengths for misdirection in the past.

The last game my parents got me as a Christmas gift was Tecmo Super Bowl for NES waaaaaaaay back when it first released. And let's be honest: it's kinda' hard to top *that* one as a gift from your parents.

My mom got me Fortress fuckin Maximus for Christmas 87 or 88. Greatest toy ever made. Single parent working hard for her only son, I know that had to set her back a bit.

That's pretty awesome. I never had Fort Maxi.

That said, I still play that copy of Tecmo Super Bowl, on the original NES even. And I barely ever pull out my Transformers anymore, and that's just for my kids to brea--- errr, play with. So, TSB is the gift that has kept on giving...

Power master Optimus Prime and Voltron that separated into five lions disagree though Maximus is up there especially after it was featured in the movie. Costco had a deal on the new Maximus maybe 3 years ago

Never had Fort Max when I was a kid, I was supposed to be too old to still be into Transformers at that point.  I remember seeing his box at Toys R Us and being impressed with it.  My younger brother did get Skorponok for his one birthday.  I picked up a Japanese reissue Fort Max a couple years ago.  There's a new one in stores now for the current Transformers line, and while I've seen it a few times, the boxes were too beaten up for my liking.  Maybe take a risk on Amazon and $25 off.

 
Since this seems to be a greatest Christmas hits convoluted right now. I was only a little into transformers in the late 80s, but was really into M.A.S.K.
One Christmas my Grandparents ended up buying me the entire collection since i only had a few of the vehicles. I got Boulder Mountain, every vehicle and even the little moped robot I didn't know existed before that day
Still the best Christmas day I ever had to this day

I had Skorponok too. It was awesome.

I had a next door neighbor who had the Terrordome (GI Joe). That thing was awesome.

My parents are interested in getting their house cleaned out of stuff, including old toys. I'd already taken most of my stuff that I didn't want tossed. My brother wasn't interested in his, so I brought boxes of old Transformers back over Thanksgiving to put in storage, including Skorponok, Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx.

Never had any of the Joe toys, my parents wanted my brother and me to be into only 1 thing at a time. So it went Star Wars, then He-Man, then Transformers, then (for my brother) TMNT. As cool as seeing the Fort Max box at TRU was, seeing the U.S.S. Flagg box at Sears one time was awesome. From what I understand, though, the actual playset didn't really live up to the hype.

Thanks guys! Seems to be the same shared opinion around the web as well. loved der riese zombie map from BO and BO3 has it and dnt play COD for the campaign as much as multiplayer so looks like BO3 it is! Hopefully MW does get sold separate eventually since I nver got to play it and would like a non futuristic COD to play

 
After I decided to pick up the Undead Telltale Collection last night I checked the Rewards page today and they're telling me I'm $35 short from VIP star 3. Did that last purchase last night tally onto that or not? How long does it take for that thing to update, anyone know?

Highly doubtful. They say it can take up to 96 hours, so it's possible it posted already, but I don't ever recall seeing purchases show up in the VIP tally in less than 2 days.

 
I'm $94 away from 5 star (I know, it's ridiculous). Do pre-orders count towards the total now, or not until they come out? If I make it to 5 stars I'll be at 5 stars to start next year right? I'm sure these questions have been answered but I gotta ask anyway

I really hope they post more than this for the daily for Christmas. Something tells me the missing AAA games from the sales won't hit until Tuesday though. Totally down to buy the Overcooked game if it goes to a better discount than the early adopter 10% it's currently at.
 
I had some pretty sweet gaming Christmases when I was a kid. NES one year, Sega Genesis another. Got an OG Game Boy with Final Fantasy Legend once. Then, in high school, my dad left my stepmom and ended up with a lady we barely knew that really wanted us to like her, and what do you know? Got a Playstation and a bunch of games.

EDIT: Picked up the Saints Row/Metro pack for $11. Both going in the backlog, but at that price I won't feel bad if they sit for awhile. Still deciding on the multitude of other games I'm considering.

I think the best game I ever got for Christmas was Turtles In Time for SNES. I had some cousins from NY come visit that Christmas and we must've beaten that damn thing 5 times over the course of a weekend.
 
I purchased the Metro/Saints bundle a few hours ago and all 4 games just show Queued. Any ideas why? I have plenty of hard drive space.
