  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

The reason I love Siege is the reason so many people are stoked for the 4 remaster. So many shooters have pushed so far and are no where near what they used to be. Siege I feel like is a perfect blend of old tactical shooters mixed with new touches to keep it fresh. Since Call of Duty refuses to deviate from their exact formula for multiplayer anymore, the only way for us to like it again is to just have the old ones given back to us hah.

I was super disappointed that the E3 footage with all the space/anti-gravity/grappling hooks are nowhere to be found in the multiplayer for Infinite Warfre. That sort of change and innovation really could have done wonders for not only COD but for shooters in general and yet they played it super safe as always and are giving us pretty much the same played out COD multiplayer with a new set of paint over it. : /

considering that Battlefront season pass, but I was hoping one of you savvy CAGs could answer a question before buying.

I'm system sharing with a family member, but we both have our own physical copies of the game. If I buy the DLC, does that get shared between us? Haven't played in a while, and I'm betting that would get us both back into it again.

But are you down with OPP?
They're no Mounties but who are?

They need to put some HDR on that bad boy and I'll buy it over PS4.

I just watched the trailer for this, does this qualify as a walking sim?
Sure does.

I just know, as soon as I buy Battlefront during one of these sales, it's going to be added to the vault.

And from what I've been told, the game isn't worth crap without the season pass. So vault game + buying season pass on its own is a much better deal.

Enhanced port of Duke Nukem 3D announced today. New 8 level episode with some of the original designers working on it. Optional "improved" graphics and improved frame rate, which I assume means either 60 FPS or no weird frame drops like Megaton Edition had for some people. Hopefully Gearbox didn't fuck it up too bad, I'm worried about how they would write Duke.

I don't buy any full digital games on the marketplace and don't really pre-order through the MS Store, so the bulk of my credits are from surveys, renewing Gold, a pre-order I did place last year (for Rare Replay, with the extra $10 off from Golden Crisp), and apparently I got 5,000 free credits for getting Overlord status once they implemented new achievement ranks recently. I did get the odd credit or two from buying small XBLA games during my birthday month a couple times I guess.

A bit annoyed here though. I just hooked up the 360 for the first time in months so I could copy my Forza Horizon save to the cloud. I booted up the game on Xbone for the first time and went straight to the Horizon Festival so I could buy the discounted season pass and get some decals and paint jobs (I played a ton of Horizon when it came out but all of it was offline). Turns out I'll need to hook the 360 back up though since the BC version can't communicate with the marketplace servers. I think my 360 controller died too while transferring some other saves to the cloud, so I'll need to pick up another one or find my spare controllers hidden away somewhere just to be able to buy some DLC using my balance instead of with real money.

I stopped getting rewards credits because it only counts purchases in € but I'd rather save more using $ than getting like 1% back.

A new release is 70€ here and 60$ in the US lol

Not bad considering my original account was banned...

Castle of Illusion is gone from XBLA now, but I finally played it last night on 360 since I was at home bracing for Tropical Storm Hermine last night and still had power. All in all, it's a good game with great graphics and decent platforming. The voice acting is on par with Ducktales. However, some sections pretty much require memorization and must be attempted multiple times since there aren't a lot of checkpoints. And Mickey's jumps are floaty as hell which makes me wonder if the game was meant for kids or if it was always meant for seasoned gamers who once owned a Sega Genesis. On a related note, the Android version, which is published by Disney and not by Sega, is still available for purchase on Google Play if people want to buy it and missed the 360 version. I also have it on Shield TV, but it seems to work on a variety of Android devices and is best played with a controller. I know this isn't the Android thread but I linked to it anyway:

And Mickey's jumps are floaty as hell which makes me wonder if the game was meant for kids or if it was always meant for seasoned gamers who once owned a Sega Genesis. On a related note, the Android version, which is published by Disney and not by Sega, is still available for purchase on Google Play if people want to buy it and missed the 360 version. I also have it on Shield TV, but it seems to work on a variety of Android devices and is best played with a controller. I know this isn't the Android thread but I linked to it anyway:

Both Castle of Illusion and Ducktales are free through the Amazon Underground app.

I can't seem to find any real gameplay from the camp counselor's perspectives, just one segment of them hiding under a bed. I heard they can try and fight back but I don't really see how. Hopefully they know what they're doing but it looks like it's going to be a really slow paced game with a lot of hiding.

I'm still curious how they actually managed to get the license for such a low budget game.

Interesting... It was supposed to happened before today, but it didn't. Looks like FOX Sports Go will hit Xbox One soon, though. That'll be nice. Having ESPN, FOX Sports Go, NFL and NBC Sports makes the XB1 a pretty formidable sports streaming machine.
It has said on the store page on Win10 that the app works with Xbox One since the anniversary update, but the switch just hasn't been flipped yet.

To keep with the good vibes on the new Friday the 13th game, I will just leave this awesome video and song here that pays homage to Friday the 13th. Enjoy!

Died to pirate boss 10 times in earthlock don't think I'm going back
I got stuck there too and it's a very odd difficulty spike. Wound up going back to town and along the way rounding up a couple groups of 7 enemies for 7x XP and that got all three characters up to level 4. Went back to town, healed up and headed back. Realized that I could change the characters starting stance from the menu which made me feel dumb it took that long to realize. So had the tank in tank stance and taunted the boss and kept her regened and had her use potions on turns she didn't need to taunt. Took him out with no problems and I'm not sure what it was that made it happen or if it was all of it or if I just got lucky and he only did that painful AOE once that fight.

I'm stupid excited for Friday the 13th. I wonder if it'll even be available in stores though... The only place to preorder is their website.
Weird.
Hmm. Going to go ahead and say this for you, and everyone else in this thread:

Don't pre-order this.

Online-only multiplayer-driven games aren't games to pre-order. Ever. Hell, even those here that bought Overwatch at launch admitted to getting tired of it really quickly. Evolve. Battlefront. Battleborn. All ended with regret and complaints. And since this is a game that's targeted at a very small niche audience, the online population will be smaller by default.

Also, the last time an ACTUAL gameplay trailer came out for the game, people bitched about it. So, with that in mind, I don't see how this "gameplay trailer" could suddenly swing anyone over to pre-ordering. It's just gore. So edgy.

Wait till it's on sale. If the online population is dead by then, then you didn't miss anything to begin with.

Now, had they taken the time to come up with an Alien Isolation-esque single player story mode, I'd be all over it if reviews permitted.

Unfortunately, the only way right now to get COD4 remaster is by buying the $80 IW bundle. That's not to say that they won't sell it separately a few months down the line.
Guarantee you they'll sell it separate down the line. They are covering their own asses by doing this so the remaster doesn't outsell the new game. That would look REEEEAAAALLY bad for them. This will also bolster their IW sales. Once the Christmas season is over they'll put out a 30 buck version or something of the remaster.

I've been trying out Battlefield 1 today and I have mixed feelings. I could see how it's fun in a sense but I think they suffer from the same problem as every other BF. The maps are just too large. Unless you get in a vehicle and go looking for trouble, the majority of your time is spent wandering around. Maybe trench warfare will be better but right now playing in that desert map just isn't that fun. It feels like every other BF game with WW1 weapons.

And this is the fundamental issue with BF and CoD games. No matter how you reskin or rework it, it's still the same core game. And I've just never been a big BF fan to begin with. If I'm gonna get any FPS games before the end of the year it'll probably be CoD, but even that I'm having second thoughts with. As many others have said I'd rather play the remaster than anything else, and I could just wait for the standalone release for that. Plus I've got too many other games this fall to worry about that. FH3 and Mafia 3 are dropping in about a month (1 week apart from each other).

I play Overwatch every night. I don't know about everyone else but I'm still having a blast playing it.

I seem to remember a long conversation here a month or so ago where everyone was talking about how burnt out they were on the game. I also haven't seen anyone on my friends list play the game since a few weeks after launch.

Which is how I get with any online game ever. It lasts a week for me until I've seen all the maps and gametypes, so it's believable. They're just rentals for me. I'm tempted by Battlefront for $20 in the rare instance that a friend decides to dust his copy off to play with me, but that's still a bit much for an online-only competitive game for me. Plus I just know it'll be an EA Access game as soon as I get it since it was rumored awhile back.

And Friday the 13th is a Kickstarter game that's aimed at a very specific audience, and hasn't been well-promoted on a retail level (due to it being a Kickstarter game though, I kind of understand). It seems to bring back memories of online-only XBLA games on the 360 that were unplayable a few weeks after launch because there weren't enough people online anymore to start a game. Hopefully F13 at least has bots.

Licensed games, MP games, games by unknown devs, games with unknown play styles, whole lot of reasons to wait and see how this one shakes out. For every Overwatch there's a dozen Battleborns.

I feel the same way. I wish EA would just start making Bad Company 3 already. That series of BF was specifically made for consoles and it was absolutely perfect and a blast to play.

On the bf maps. The full battle maps are huge to allow the vehicles. You would probably like the team death match maps which are much smaller versions of the maps.

Your sample size is extremely limited. Overwatch is one of the most popular shooters at the moment and there is no shortage of players online.

There are no bots or single player in Friday the 13th because the game failed to reach certain kickstarter goals. Kinda wanna argue with you about it's value and longevity, but I can't.

Yea, I haven't done any grinding yet, but I think I have died to every boss at least once. The boss after the pirate one is much much harder. The difficulty never seems to come down. I guess I should grind my characters, I am level 8 and stuck in the burning desert, lol.

Can someone tell me if I buy the VIP Membership & Cars Pack, Season Pass, and Rally Expansion Pack (currently at 75% off) for Forza Horizon will get all cars and stuff available?

thanks for the tips, I manged to not delete the game in frustration so I will try this out again tonight

Any indication how long the FH season pass will be $5? Was it officially announced as a sale anywhere or is it potentially a price drop?

Edit: Reason I'm asking is I won't have a chance to get it from my 360 with credit until the end of the month... So trying to decide whether to pay cash or not.

DON'T buy the rally exp it's included in the season pass. The only thing you will be missing is the preorder pack of cars and the promo code cars I believe. I don't think you can get the promo cars anymore. You can buy the preorder pack though.
Complete. List of dlc here:

Not sure but the servers are down or something because we can't access downloadable content just an fyi

not sure how long this has been an issue but I haven't been able to access it since I bought it

I preordered Friday the 13th for 2 reasons:

1. Friday the 13th is my JAM!

2. They had a deal to get 2 downloadable versions for $50, so I split it with a buddy. $25 for a brand new Friday the 13th game? Yes, Please...
