I watched Kingsglaive last night. I don't see why it was getting shit on as hard as it was, but I guess that's movie critics viewing a direct tie-in to a game. The action gets a bit hard to follow sometimes during the last third of the movie, but very nice looking still and usually only a few seconds at a time. Overall I'd say it's the best movie that has come out of Final Fantasy by a large margin, having never liked Advent Children myself. I'd say try to check it out before Final Fantasy XV actually comes out. It has some nice world building that I think is going to help flesh out the game, which is not what I expected based on past works.

It is pretty stupid that there is no way to rent it though, only buy for $15 digitally, get the separate Blu-ray next month, or get the game special edition. I think it'd be worth seeing in a theater because of how busy the screen is sometimes, but they barely advertised the special screenings and they're already done now.

I have mine off just because I'm weird and want my console to last as long as possible so I don't want it using any power unless I'm on it. I really don't mind waiting for it turn on especially since I usually go do something real quick after I use my big toe to turn it on.

Yeah, on Prime day early in the morning there was a glitch where you could buy 3 xbox ones and only be charged for one. A friend got in on that so he sold me one. After selling the games it came with, ended up with a 1TB console and extra Dusk Shadow controller for about $140. Was too good to pass up.

I mostly use it for exclusives and sports games (I've lamented in PSN related threads about what a great deal EA Access is and that it is a huge shame that PS4 doesn't have it.) I've been playing ReCore right now, it's pretty fun but has some annoyances, and some dreadful load times.

Also got that Spelunky 100% again when it was free. Love that game!

This may or may not be the correct place to post it, but is the new rise of iron coming with the base game? I already have the taken King and all previous dlc, but I don't have destiny. If I were to get rise of iron, would I be able to play?

Not with the expansion alone. You'll have to buy the edition that comes with all of the DLC.

No, you either have to buy the new The Collection release that has everything, or buy Rise of Iron and Vanilla Destiny separately.

Actually, you can buy the Collection upgrade version for $40 and get the base game digital if you own Taken King. At least it works this way on PS4 and Neogaf threads seem to confirm this for Xbox. You do not need to be a 360 or PS3 Taken King owner for it to work. It's a nice way to get base Destiny digital for $10.

Yeah, except it's crazy to get a physical disc for Destiny at this point since the disc itself has almost no used/trade-in value and limited value without DLC. If someone is actually going to spend the same money on base Destiny right now, digital is the obvious choice for 99% of people.

I have a disc but bought digital anyway because I was tired of swapping discs since that's the kind of game it's nice to jump into when your friend pop online, etc. I had actually been looking for a Destiny base game code online for awhile but could never find one at any reasonable price, so this worked out great for my situation.

I JUST got it yesterday, the website says 15 days but when I chatted with support they directed me to the Xbox Rewards forums. I made a thread and someone on the support forum said it's actually business days not calendar days.

I beat the end boss of Horizon 1 Saturday night for the 100 GS cheevo, only to find there's another form. Halfway through that, I run into the performance bug that pops up, frame rate dropping to a stutter. Game couldn't recover, even tried restarting it to no avail. Didn't try restarting the console, by that time I was too tired. Gave it another go yesterday afternoon, haven't dealt with that level of Mario Kart / 4th quarter Madden BS rubber band AI in a long time. fuck -er beat me the first time, but the second I was able to keep him close, get ahead of him near the end and cut him off every time he tried to pass me. FSM bless that rewind feature. Didn't impact my enjoyment of Horizon 2.

Made Tier 7 in Forza Rewards, no time to make Tier 8 before Horizon 3 drops. I preordered the Ultimate Edition digitally at Gamestop, and was told it would show up in my PUR digital locker before release. Hasn't shown up yet, going to stop by tomorrow to see if they have any idea, and to see if they have any of the physical preorder cars available. Would like to preload it to play this weekend.

 
A little off-topic but I finally bought a used 360 controller (EB Games reburb). The stick drift on mine was making some games unplayable, and with the credit I had, it only cost me $12. 

Also, because I'm paranoid of whoever traded the controller in, I alcohol swab'd the shit out of it. It's all shiny and clean looking now  O:)

Ehhhh...they're really short but kinda fun. It's only worth it if you're a completionist like me or if you just want to extend the BioShock experience just a bit longer once you're done with the story. There are three rooms and two are "puzzles", the third is like a combat arena. Short, but distracting. If you run through them, you can get a good 30 minutes out of it. If you go for all achievements, it could be a couple more hours.

If you're super paranoid you could take it apart to really fully clean it. More important is using it fully though. If the stick is wonky you will have wasted a lot of time cleaning a stick that's going back to the store (From experience :( )

If you're super paranoid you could take it apart to really fully clean it. More important is using it fully though. If the stick is wonky you will have wasted a lot of time cleaning a stick that's going back to the store (From experience :( )

I've only used it for about 15 mins and it seems fine but I will have to play a few games to know for sure. Plus I bought the warranty so I have a year to replace it if something goes wrong.
