Finally, they warn us BEFORE it happens instead of after it happened like the last two times. Myself and some others have been warning of this since FH1 was announced GWG and even before with each recent FH1 DLC sale, but it's one of those time where I hate to be right.

This. It's because they only license material in the game for four years. It was the same with FM3 and FM4 and when asked after it was pulled the response both times was that licenses had expired and they could NOT be reinstated for a last sale or even for people to be able to download content purchased, but not downloaded.

Yeah, I meant to post yet another warning at the end of the last sale, but got busy that night. Considering how much FM/FH stuff has gone on sale recently (so nice since FM3/FM4 stuff went on sale twice each in the four years each was available) I'd sale a regular sale including it is likely, especially since delisting has actually been announced ahead of time for a change. Also, with FM3 all of the DLC went on sale at drastic reductions on an odd day, I think a weekend. Most stuff dropped to $1 or so. This lasted for a few days and then it was delisted. No announcements for the sale or warnings for the delisting. FM4 also received a sale on some DLC (SP, VIP, Porsche Pack), but it was mostly 50%. This also began on a weekend and delisting occurred a few days later again with no warning. Several items like DLC packs not in the SP were not included in that sale. My guess would be that if it is not included in the regular sales, it will get some sort of sale around the 15th and there is a good chance it gets pulled a day or two early.

As someone else pointed out, if the Season Pass is on sale for the same price, you should get it instead since it includes the Rally Expansion, plus all of the season pass cars.

I recommend downloading ALL free DLC right away. The free cars DLCs actually contain the entire car packs they are associated with (compatibility packs in reality). The season pass is just a key that allows free purchase of the DLC packs in game and does NOT actually include the actual content. If you buy the season pass and you've already downloaded the free cars you already have the car packs on your hard drive and can collect the cars in game. People who had downloaded some free cars and got the season pass and did not download the packs in game had access to the packs associated with the free cars they had downloaded. Also, those who had gotten all the free cars and then purchased the SP from Gamestop, Amazon, etc AFTER it was delisted reported having access to all car packs in the SP.

This is important (may be worth stickying, not to be presumptuous, but people could buy a sale item and still lose out) as people got screwed with FM4's season pass: IF YOU BUY OR HAVE BOUGHT THE SEASON PASS, BE SURE TO GO IN GAME AND CLAIM ALL OF THE CAR PACKS/RALLY EXPANSION BEFORE IT IS DELISTED. IF YOU DO NOT YOU WILL LOSE THE CAR PACKS NOT DOWNLOADED AS THE SEASON PASS IS JUST A KEY AND DOES NOT ACTUALLY INCLUDE THE INDIVIDUAL PACKS. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, MICROSOFT WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU JUDGING FROM FM4'S DEBACLE!!!!!

I agree. After two fails with lots of complaining from dedicated Forza fans they finally figured out to at least announce it ahead of time for a change. Baby steps, I guess.

I'm surprised they didn't extend the licensing or hadn't bought a longer license considering this just hit GWG. I'm curious if FM5 will follow the pattern. By the way, servers will not be affected by this.

Has anyone had issues with being able to play FH1 digitally after they got it as a GWG? Many who BOUGHT it digitally over the years were unable to play the game at all. Has it been fixed for those people now?

 
The only time I can recall the game keys from a glitch being pulled was when the AMD server listed all the keys in plain text, and Steam pulled the copies.  I think it was Metro 2033.

Does it give any real actual playable content over the digital version I bought a couple months ago via Live?

I guess it has 3 DLCs that I didn't get with the Live version?  

And will it require me to have the disc in to play?

How do you remove permission for nvidia from your microsoft/xbox account? I couldn't find it anywhere on the microsoft.com site

I'm glad I bought a $20 key on ebay, if they end up revoking I'll just request a refund and having been the victim of a few refund scams over the decade, it'll be nice to be in the position once of actually being on the buyer side.

Re: Red Dead Redemption GOTY, the GOTY adds two things over the digital version: the undead nightmare pack ($10) that is a new short story campaign and new multiplayer maps, plus it has all the pre order outfits and bonuses which you can buy seperately for $3. Everything for GOTY is on disc, no DLC codes, so yes you need to have the disc in and its 2 discs so undead would require you to put in the second disc. I personally don't think its worth it, you can just wait for the undead pack to go on 75% sale and snag it for $2.50 then.

Dirt 3 was revoked several years ago but that's because the key generator or whatever was actually stolen and not something that a vendor was accidentally giving out early or selling for a penny or something.

Just saw Forza Horizon getting delisted.

Not sure whether to thank MS or get mad. I think we should thank MS because they essentially gave the game away, and only people who don't have Gold lost out, or those crazy people who can't click buy despite no interest in such said games at the time.

It makes sense I guess. Why pay the artists/car manufactures money for a game that probably isn't going to sell much digitally?

I'm going on eBay right now. Trying to get a cheap disc copy before prices go up later.

 
Necropolis looks very cool, but maybe too hardcore for me. I suck at the Dark Souls games and don't spend enough time on any single game to get that good at it. The fact that this is 2-4 player coop is nice though, hopefully I can just ride my teammates coattails to victory

Looking forward to being able to play Xcom2 again. Hopefully they didn't do any updates that make it so I can't pick up where I left off. I was pretty far along in the campaign before they updated it and cut my access.

ok, so I purchased the season pass and went to the in-game marketplace. As I go through each one, some say Free and others say Purchased. Even after I dl the ones that say Free they don't seem to change to Purchased. So there is no way to know if it's purchased unless you go through each one. Some of the Free ones also come up with an error about my credit card info after it contacts the server. Is this normal? It's also taking a long time to dl , are there server problems with the game or is it just everyone trying to dl?

One last thing, so even though I dl the each one, will I have them in my garage or do I still have to purchase them in-game?

 
The purchasing/downloading of items in Forza Horizon on Xbox One appears to be borked somehow. I have rally downloaded but it never works and keeps prompting me to download it in game. I've kind of given up on it working correctly.

 
Just finished Dear Esther. What a waste of 90 minutes. I've played walking sims before(Gone Home, The Park, Lifeless Planet too if that counts), but this was a horrible game. At least in Gone Home, you could interact with stuff. Even had an intriguing story. In DE, you just plod along listening to some wank blather on and on. That's.....the whole......game.....

Even though I only spent $3, lost that cash AND my time. Stay away from this turd and buy something else.

For those that have moved from Xbox One to Xbox One S, how hard is it to transfer over your stuff? I have most of my games on an external already.

It's probably like doing a format on your own console: you will still need to redownload your profile, and will have to launch each game atleast once to download your cloud saves and make sure the game auto updates (if you use instant on).

Second it's an amazing game, highly recommend and probably will re buy it for cheevos.

Decided I want Forza but I may or may not get it Tuesday. My fuck ing card got a fraud on it and I wont have a card until later this week. However if Amazon decides to accept my bank account (first time linking it ever), I will be golden. We shall see tomorrow, but I do hope it works.

It makes sense I guess. Why pay the artists/car manufactures money for a game that probably isn't going to sell much digitally?

It has less to do with sales of the game and more with the licensing of the music/cars. It could still be selling a lot of copies but it may not be feasible to have to renegotiate a new licensing deal, especially with 2 sequels already out.

This happened to me five days ago. The rep told me it was most likely Wendy's as they had a breach of 15,000 cards recently. Stupid Wendy's; not eating there again for a while

More like Amazon fuck up if you ask me. Those who took advantage of it aren't exactly ethical.

But those of who bought them on Reddit/eBay had no clue where they were coming from and wouldn't say we were in on the "scam".

I never said those that bought the codes were in on the scam. Was referring to the people that cancelled amazon orders to get the codes free.
