Haven't played as much as I need to but it is excellent. Complex PC controls expertly translated into something that works on a console. Great RPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate but modernized.

Seriously the LEGO Harry Potter games can just fuck right off.  First game glitched on me at about 87% an now the second one at 99.1%. A student in peril registers as gotten on my total count but in the actual room the icon says no and he is no longer there.  Make me short on one gold brick also.  They are by far the most glitchy of the LEGO games.   

Edit: Guess I ranted a little too fast.  Had to do the bonus level for the final 0.9%.  I am LEGOed out right now though.

Whoa there, cowboy! I don't know if I'd call it shitty. It just doesn't do as many things as Sonic Transformed, but I wouldn't say it isn't a good game. I played it and I liked it. It's a decent cart racer, and there's lots of fan service for Sega enthusiasts. Now, charging fans $4 to add Ryo from Shenmue to the game through DLC, that's shitty.

IIRC this is a common occurrence when there's silver and gold prices. If you click "Buy" it will make you sign in and the price will update on the confirmation screen (don't click Buy again unless you actually want to purchase). If it shows the wrong price on the confirmation screen, take a screenshot and contact xbox support to give you a price adjustment.

I wouldn't hold my breath on an Xbox sale. The PS Store gets promotions like this (pre-order RE HD for PS4 get PS3 version free) that never make it to the Xbox store.

ESO free weekend has begun. As others have pointed out, the Gold Version of the game is on sale for $30 along with in-game currency packs.

Questions for Bizzquik and MoCiWe (I see you guys playing a lot)...

I already have the base game - but I am only level 4. I've barely played it. Didn't like it at first, but the One Tamriel update seems neat.

1) Does this game still suck - be honest. When I first played it, all I saw was a bunch of naked dudes playing guitar and dancing in the middle of a town.

2) I see you can buy the DLC expansions w/ in-game Crown currency, what is the best one to get - Thieves or Dark Brotherhood?

3) Regarding the armor/clothing that is in the Crown store, is it purely aesthetic or does it have armor/health stats?

1: It's a lot better at launch, me and my friend bought the Imperial Editions at launch and barely touched it, but it feels like almost a whole new game at this point, they fixed a lot of things people complained about and I still see a lot of players running around the areas as well.

2: I haven't done much with the DLC since I got them recently, but out of those two it would depend on pretty much which style of gameplay/which of those two you enjoyed more in previous games, they are about equal otherwise. I don't know how much currency you have, but the $24 bundle of 5500 coins is enough to buy the 4 pack of expansions as well at a really good price other then getting the gold edition if you don't have any

3: Purely cosmetic, they actually have a costume part of the inventory so you can equip and unequip them whenever, you still find and equip armor like normal for stats.

I'd love to get rid of my Roku, but the inability to really customize the landing UI is really an impediment to wife-friendliness. It's not obvious where the cursor is at times to people who haven't gotten used to the UI yet.

Holy shitballs, Titanfall 2's single player campaign is one of the best FPSs I've played in years. It reminds me of Half-Life 2 in a lot of ways with the really epic sci-fi set pieces, and the Titan is reminiscent of Dog running around and smashing things. There were a few moments where I just smiled big and said "that is so fucking cool."

Specifically, the time-travel level where you find out what happened to the facility with the explosion? Wow. Flanking enemies by teleporting between the past and the future is pure insanity. I'm glad they didn't try to build an entire game around it but wow.

Also, I need more agile FPSs in my life. I mained a Hunter in Destiny and being able to run around, double-jump, and ambush enemies is something I've missed. Even if you just rent it like I did, TF2 is fantastic.

Agreed! I've been playing on master difficulty and I like how if you time it right you can just run past huge groups of enemies.
But that boss fight against Viper,FML. Took a while to get past.
 
Still debating on a couple things from the week long Black Friday sale if people have opinions on them.

Doom DLC - Low on the priority list, seem to be multiplayer only. Haven't started the game yet, but wondering how popular the multiplayer is still.

That fight was no cakewalk on Normal, I can only imagine on Master. That guy is an asshole.

I don't see why other locales can't do it also? I got Kalimba the same way.
 
I can confirm the in store discount at Staples for XBL gift cards. Once you pass $50 it is 20% off. Grabbed $100 for $80. I may have to go grab more. Thanks for the mention here I would have missed out otherwise.
 
Now that the sale page is back up. I can't recommend titanfall 2 enough. Especially on sale. Having played all 3 of the big 3 fps games this fall, it's by far the best (and I like the other two, not a fanboy).

The campaign is amazingly innovate and had moments reminiscent of portal 2, half life, and mega man.

And the multiplayer is stellar and will only improve as they continue to put out free dlc.

Almost no one was playing Doom online when I played it about a month back, I thought I was going to have to set up a session on TA just to get the 2 super easy online achievements, 1 of which is for winning 1 game.

The campaign really reminded me of Valve games. Character design and, more specifically, humor was like Portal 2. Level design definitely took something from the Half-Life series, but without the filler.

I can tell you why because Sleeping Dogs got indexed, that's also why the German Version of the 360 Game doesn't have any DLC it was the DLC that got indexed and since the definitive edition got all the dlc...you know. Eh it doesn't bother me either way I still ahven't made the jump to the one, still on my 360. But I wanted to inform you guys if you want to get another GWG and didn't grap it from japan...

Also sure it's possible to change locations but i's against the TOS to use it for that purpose. Although I haven't heard of any penalties regarding this yet.

Yeah, I also got that impression too. You know, I looked it up and yeah the devs used the Source engine so that would help that vibe wouldnt it lol.

Both are top notch imo, Inside more so is I think the latest "Ori" game.

I passed on the Doom DLC, most multiplayer DLC should be free imo, I like what Titanfall 2 is doing and I loved what Mass Effect 3 did with it.

And OMG, the Trial by Fire mission!!! Finally we get what we wanted with a sequel to Titanfall.

That's the other thing, they're doing awesome strides on the pacing, leaning on games like Half Life 2 and Gears of War on that front too. I'm glad we're finally out of the tutorial gaming era, Nintendo listen up. Titanfall 2 does a great way to teach you via emergence gameplay, while they have ghost data for those that need it, a few times I had to see where I needed to go, but it's not forced on you.

Was looking at getting Kerbal as well. I played a free trial of it on Steam and based on the Youtube vids I've seen it's a lot of fun. It's one of those games though where it's about what you make of it. Similar to the Sims and Sim City games where you need to build and get creative. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see this going any lower than that price, but considering it launched at 40 bucks instead of 60 that's a really good thing. Too many subpar games get released nowadays at full price (ahem, looking at you No Man's Sky). I'd go for it if you actually have the time to experiment and get creative with what it offers.

Also, Inside basically is Limbo, but I'm sure you knew that already. Same developer. Same type of game. Also a very short game from what I've seen around here, but could be fun.

 
So, I figured I should toss this out there.

I know JoyRide Turbo was free for some reason a while back.  So here's a secret for everyone:  JoyRide Turbo is one of probably the 3 most-played Xbox 360 games in my house all-time.  There's really no reason it should be... but my wife likes it, my kids like it, and even my hardcore gamer buddies that come over love it once they've played it.  It has elements of Motocross Madness and Mario Kart together.  And there's an exploration element to each of the tracks as well not just to find shortcuts and secrets, but also collect things.  You'll spend a good while trying to figure out how to access some of the more seemingly-inaccessible car parts, for example.

If anyone owns most everything already and missed it when it was free, you could do worse than spending $5 on JoyRide Turbo I guess.  It has wide appeal and a lot of replay value in a family setting.  I know it's probably not cool to say I like it but... I do, and I'm ok with that.
