Only picked up Mega Man and RotTR season pass so far. Nothing much else really calling to me, maybe some 360 stuff. Bought a few physical games at work and on Amazon. At least I didn't have any meltdown customers so far.

Guess I should ask for Tomb Raider for Christmas now.
 
Still can't decide on Dangerous Golf. Anyone play it after the patches to fix the loading times and still not like it? It seems like the kind of game that would get old fast.

 
I don't know what the hell I ate on Thanksgiving, I think it was shrimp, but I broke out in hives and my right eye got puffy and it hurts when I swallow.  I took Benadryl and rested all day today and my throat didn't hurt anymore but eye still swollen and I still get itchy.  I always get skin problems when visiting and staying at the in-laws.  I think their insulation sucks and it gets my skin dry.  And then when I ate the shrimp it irritated my skin even more.  I couldn't stop scratching, it feels so good but I need to stop it.  They had ants on the second bed too so I'm not sure if ants went on the bed I slept to get me more itchy.  Her mom cleaned the guest room though and got rid of the ants.

Anyway I just bought Mad Max and Batman AK Premium.  I usually like visiting the stores during BF but with this puffy eye and itchiness, I'm staying in bed.  I'll go to the ER tomorrow if it doesn't get better so they could shoot me with steroids.  I'm gonna save the rest of the funds for the year end countdown sale and hope Watch Dogs 2 will be on sale.

LAME. I got a free month of XBL Gold for signing up for the first time 10 days ago. I then bought a prepaid 12 month membership on BF, and stupidly added it to my account now instead of waiting until my trial period was up. Now, my subscription reflects not only the 12 month prepaid by itself, but it also "subtracted" the trial start days, so my prepaid membership expires 12 months from now minus those 10 days when I started the trial.

tl;dr - Added a 12 month prepaid XBL Gold membership, got less than 12 months.

Does anyone else's OCD flare up whenever you buy a bundle that includes a game you already own? I bought the master chief collection from the cdkeys.com sale, but already owned halo 3. Previously I bought the fable trilogy, but already owned fable 3. I mean it's fine because I paid less for the bundles than I would have buying the games individually to get the collections, but there's just something about it that bothers me.

Makes me hopeful that in the future we'll be able to gift our game licenses to someone else.

I bought it a week ago and can definitely say the initial excitement wears off pretty quickly. However, I'd actually still recommend it because it's not a game that goes on sale often and it's a great game that is really fun in short bursts when you don't have a ton of time.

It's definitely crossbuy. Make sure you're on the Anniversary Update for W10. Sometimes there's initial syncing issues in regards to crossbuy content, just be patient.

If you're looking for a cheap copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider, you could look for anyone who still has a "Name Your Game" code. They're set to expire in a month, so chances are they'll be selling for pretty cheap soon.

Happens to me all the time on Steam. Thank god for the "you already own some of the stuff in this bundle" discounts Steam has made available.

Not sure why MCC sets that off for you though, you can't buy any of the Xbone versions of those games separately. Fable Trilogy I get though.

Some Steam games allow for gift copies of stuff you buy in a bundle you already own, but it's pretty rare.

More likely is the discount model I mentioned earlier.

I beat Rise of the Tomb Raider on a free Gamefly trial, now I don't even have the game and I'm considering grabbing the season  pass for 6 bucks so I can play that stuff whenever the base game is cheap in the future

Yeah that's part of what's stopping me, if the game will be cheaper in the future but then the bundle is less then both I'd end up paying more in the long run, even if only a little haha. It's just rare to see a season pass on sale by itself :p

 
All in all black Friday brought in a good haul. I was a little underwhelmed with the sales on the newer games at the stores(I thought for sure we would get a better sale on Deus Ex and least a couple other newer titles). The Xbox digital sale made up for it though. I never thought we would see the newer games discounted as much even if I didn't buy any of them. My only problem now is I can't decide what to play so last night I ended up playing Halo. Not part of BF but I grabbed Disney Infinity 3.0 on the Best Buy closeout for $30 for the starter pack and 2 expansions and like 10 figures. My kids love those figures even not on the game. They play with them with there other toys.

I had most of the other games on the sale I wanted. I thought about Doom, Far Cry Primal and Recore but I bet we see cheaper prices on all 3 before I would get to playing them.
 
The only thing I bought from the Xbox Live sale is Jackbox Party Pack 3. I really thought I would end up grabbing more, but Best Buy and MS Store having lower prices on digital games won me over.
 
I'm really struggling with titanfall vs call of duty IW. I don't know why obviously titanfall is the logical choice. I just want thoes zombies. So far all I have picked up is overcooked... Which is so much fun with the wife. Got her a new controller for it, because my day one edition is about to bite the dust.

The deal of the weekend for me was the Staples sale on XBL credit. That made the XBL sale even better... Snagged 4 more $25 cards this morning to drop in the account... I'm set for sales for a while now.

I don't even think there's much on the horizon that I want, but it's always nice to have a stockpile of credit.
 
My early purchases put me over to get a $5 spacebuck which just arrived from Bing Rewards - they're not kidding about takes 24 hours. Tempted by a lot, I might hang on to it until year-end sale so I can process the mountain I have purchased.

I cleared out the only two stores in a 30 mile radius. In total I bought 26 cards. Fully making the switch to digital with two consoles in the house. I've been living under a rock with game sharing on xbox and ps4. Got the gf a ps4 for xmas so making the switch for dual sharing purposes will actually save me a ton as I used to buy two copies of every single multiplayer. Yuck

Damn... I only bought 12 total. Honestly, the prices were so good for digital that I bought and sold a few physical games on eBay without even opening them and just converted it to Staples XBL cards and bought the digital copy. I think I have like 6 physical games total now...

yeah I'm keeping an eye on those. I don't NEED one quite yet so I can wait for hopefully price drops

no idea what I'm gonna do on the ps4 I have about 500gig left (goes quickly) and there aren't as many options with the ps4

I'm not gonna turn it into a transformer with those adapter things or whatever that is so I'll have to buy more of the non exclusives on xbox going forward probably

or just not buy shit I don't really need (yeah, that'll happen)

Really enjoying Skyrim Special Edition, guess you can't bring over your old save as it's a new game as "Load" was greyed out. So

I made a hot woman Nord Alexia, lol opposite from my brute male Nord from OG Skyrim.

Nah - this is strictly extra credit. It's meant for Rocksmith DLC and the occasional big sale. It'll last me the next 6 months or so... I bought all the games I want for a while.

I don't know if Canada has deal but do you think calling a store would help? I know it's not listed on the site and I don't just want to randomly drive over to a Staples to find out.

I had no luck at my Staples store. They only had 3 month Live cards (also worth $25 each.. but still).

I was hoping it worked on any GC, but it doesn't seem to and I missed out on the TRU GC deal as well. :wall:

Mine had them right on the hook thing that had all different gift cards on it. They were right with the 3 month passes. That sucks. Sorry, Bobby.
 
How was Watch Dogs?

Also, do you think it's possible to get MS to refund me my purchase of Dishonored from 2 days ago that I haven't even played, since I have a code for it in the case of Dishonored 2? Do they freak out about that? I've never requested any sort of refund...

I picked it up on steam but not the little ones version, not sure the difference, but the regular version was a lot of fun. It's a bit depressing though, you basically are just hunkered up in a building, you can send people out (you control them) and gather resources, and you can upgrade things and eventually feel you're getting something done, but for me I lost everyone and couldn't really go back to it... I intend to eventually though.

If you like post-apocalyptic movies/games you'll probably enjoy it, it's dark, depressing, gritty, there's definitely some memorable moments for me from it but I don't want to spoil anything.

I recommend it at $9 for sure.

^ IMO Watch Dogs at that price is a steal. It got a lot of hype and a lot of over exaggeration from gamers but overall it's a solid game esp at that price point, doubly so if you grab the Complete Edition.
