Yesterday was Green Monday, hence the "Green" in the promo code. I had never heard of it, apparently it comes from eBay's best sales day in Dec.


I picked up Foul Play at the last minute. The icon will go great with my ready to install list.

On the fence about Dying Light. I liked the first DI ok, but it got really repetitive and if I hadn't been duping my weapons I would have been really frustrated by how often they needed repairing. Does Dying Light have more ammo for the gunplay and/or less tedious crafting/repairing?

Has anyone played Enemy Front or Alien Rage? They look interesting, especially Enemy Front, and the price is good.

Also, Alien Rage is list at $2.99 in Canada, so either Bloomy wrote it incorrectly on the first page or you guys are getting shafted by Microsoft.

Yeah, probably because that was originally a backer reward for Kickstarter. It was definitely a good deal to back, only was $15 for the game that way. I think it might have shot up so much because of the physical release, that wasn't originally part of the Kickstarter.

 
I'm tempted by Ninja Turtles. $20 seems like the right price for that game. I want Saturday Morning RPG but I get definitely wait for a better sale.

Negan is fantastic in the comics. The ultimate "love to hate" character. I think they're over using him on the show, though. His schtick is getting old fast. The actor is great, it's just the way the writers are handling him, IMO.

I think developers have caught onto the fact that the idea of having a game digitally installed on our xbox's speaks to the OCD in some of us. And thus presents a new opportunity to sell the same game one more time. I think we will see quite a few more BC releases before the program ends.

I'm not seeing any Battlefront sales anymore. I see an EA Access price listed but no gold price. I don't have EA Access so I guess I missed out on a good season pass deal.
 
It will end. Didn't you see Stephen Hawking say the Earth only has about 1,000 years left? Unless we find another planet for BC to continue on.

If you read the reply tweets to the Major's posts, that's all people are asking for anymore. Once they do go BC, the internet will go quiet forever. Or screams for other titles to go BC will fill the silence. Whichever.
 
interesting, my Gold subscription ran out so I redeemed another 1 month prepaid card. I cant get the 360 games with gold to show up as free on my PC. Outland shows as 9.99. I downloaded sleeping dogs no problem though - that one showed free. Anyone see this before?

Does it take time for the website to 'see' my subscription that I just redeemed?

 
Yeah it takes time, you could also try doing it from X1 directly.

Anyway, is there a Bioshock Infinite edition with DLCs? I can't find it on our GameStop website but I swear there was one
 
Forgot I had Bioshock Infinite thanks to GwG so I searched online to see the GwG list and Super StreetFight IV Arcade Edition caught my eye.  I thought I missed getting that so I checked my download history and its there, whew!  I hope that becomes BC soon along with MvC2.

I'm not level 40 yet, but one of the nicer things from the 2.5 patch notes:

Characters who are level 40 will now automatically convert Uncommon Engrams (Green) to Weapon and Armor Materials on pickup.

Always find it odd that I have to return to the Tower to convert something - only to dismantle it.

When you get to an higher level you wouldn't even need to decrypt crappy engrams, they automatically decrypt (talking about green ones), so you could just dismantle them instantly. I hope they add an option for rare items too, I'm 396 and I don't have a need for anything lower than legendary

FYI, rares (blue) drop at up to 400 LL inside Archon's Forge and from every Strike Hoard.

Yeah, as said before the greens at least auto-decrypted at 40 before, I'm glad they auto-dismantle now. Having played a LOT of Destiny I only decided to start using outside apps to make the game a bit more user friendly when Rise of Iron came out. I now use Destiny Item Manager when grinding stuff. It can automatically send your engrams to the Vault so you can space out your trips a lot more, definitely makes that game more fun for me not needing to go to the Tower constantly. Though your final thought there will become relevant again once you hit 365 and blue engrams are worthless.

Briefly looked through the Dawning, it's about as expected. Mostly microtransactions, earn 1 lootbox per character with a lot of SRL racing. I'll have to mess with it some and try the new quests, but nothing seemed mindblowing. At least the Tower looks pretty nice this time. I like the racing a lot, but I still think I'll be focusing on the Overwatch event. Finally got it to start downloading, most of the new stuff is pretty cool. I don't know how much the Snowball mode is going to get played though.

Yeah, forgot about a few of those. Guess I'm still on the "we won't do BC because we want to make more money on a remaster" line of thinking when it comes to developers.

I wish more original versions of remasters went BC though. It seems like remasters drop in price so quickly making the original BC wouldn't really hurt the sales if you release it like 6 months after the remasters. In some cases (Resident Evil) the remasters are the same price as the 360 versions and certain titles (dishonored, handsome collection) the 360 version is more expensive than the remaster once you factor in non-bundled in DLC. Plus I'm sure the number of sales they "lose" on a remaster to BC wouldn't be any larger than the group of people that double dip playing both versions. I hope it doesn't all come down to "why make it BC if we can have them buy the game twice" and there are other reasons why some of them aren't BC.

 
So apparently the Modern Warfare Remastered is adding Loot Boxes / Micro transactions... you know, like the original game had.... Remastered in 2016 apparently means a new chance to sell you micro transactions.

 
I think it'd be a great sales tactic to release an update patch to a BC game with a video highlighting the improvements of its remaster.

Then, from within the game itself after watching the video, "Press Start" to be taken to its Xbox storefront page to complete the digital remaster purchase.

Hell, keep that train of thought going: Have the store deduct 5% off its cost when it realizes you are coming from within the original BC title - to further induce you to make the purchase.
