Really glad I ended up in an area where Centurylink Offers Fiber internet, cause I kept getting kicked off every other provider's plan for destroying their 250GB or 300GB data caps. Fingers crossed that they keep their fiber unlimited because it is still cheaper than what CableONE wanted to charge me for a 700GB plan.

 
first month on comcast's new 1tb limit and i've gone well over since i just replaced my xbox one and my library is all digital. so far i've used 1500GB.  i'm going all out during this grace month

 
Is Deus Ex Humankind fun for someone who hates stealth games?  Or just frustrating? 

Supposedly you can play it both in stealth or shootem up?

I was at BB but the lines were too long and put it back.  Tempted to do a store pick up on it though.  $14.99 today only (before GCU).

i replaced my xbox one 500gb with the xbox one s with 2TB back in August....came close to 1TB in September.

i might wipe the hard drive and redownload just out of spite

I'm trying to avoid that at all costs, as more people buy the unlimited package comcast is gonna feel more justified in doing it.

Goggle fiber needs to hurry up to Chicago. At one point I herd comcast was matching the $70 google fiber price for comcast's fiber (which doesn't have a data cap) but that didn't last long ha. So if you got google fiber in your city might be able to get comcast to match there price.

I'm about to start it up but I'm pretty sure you can go balls to the wall action still. Some of the new Augs they added look pretty good for a non-stealth style.

I only played a little of the first one but I'd say if you hate stealth it might not be your cup of tea. Someone who has played more might have a better opinion.

Oh man I can't believe people ask this one (you are not the only one). Yes! All Deus Ex games thrive for allowing you to play how you want, it had a lot of RPG elements for a shooter. Stealth/Hacking, Gunplay and Narrative Negotiation, depending what Augmentations you equip.

The problem with the first game, Human Revolution, was that they outsourced the boss fight parts to another team which kind of killed your freedom of the way you wanted to play. Due to critic and gamers feedback the development for the sequel, Mankind Divided, fixes this. Anyways yeah you can augment yourself to be a total "Commando dude" badass.

Deus Ex appeals to me with the semi-dystopian and futuristic setting. The gameplay is close to what we saw in older action adventure games.

Metal Gear Solid, I'm sort of with you. It'd be a great game if not for all the Japanese weird shit thrown in.
 
I couldn't "play" MGS4.  I got the MSG4 PS3 bundle when I got back into console gaming.  I traded it within a few days.  

I did play Ground Zeros and liked it well enough and finished the campaign (super short).  Then I tried one of the side missions and remember why I don't like stealth games.  Skipped Solid.  Tried to play MSG 2 (I think) on Vita and couldn't get very far with it before I turned it off.

I get not liking stealth, but your attempt at Metal Gear was doomed. 4 is probably the worst possible place to start, and 1 really is the one that should least be skipped.

If he's not into stealth, I'd say it's the other way around. MGS 4 was by far the most action based and while still had plenty of stealth was probably the easiest of the series to play with a more aggressive style. MGS 1 was very unforgiving on the stealth side. Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure us non mgs fans started at 4 because we were told that's the best one to try as a non fan action wise

some liked it as a non fan

wasn't for me at all but it didn't age well and those cut scenes blahhhhh

but in its defense I play games way after I should so things usually feel dated by time I get to them, maybe back in the day when the graphics were relevant I would have enjoyed it more

Well everyone has their preferences but as RE4 is a pivotal milestone for Capcom, Deus Ex was for Eidos/Square Enix. Similar item management innovation was shared with both games but Deus Ex gave branching paths through the levels/campaign.

I never got into the Metal Gears but I've got V sitting in shrink-wrap lol.

I got it during the Black Friday sale for $13 and change. It's kind of short compared to other Telltale games, but for $10 and 1000 GS, it's worth the sale price.

Goggle fiber needs to hurry up to Chicago. At one point I herd comcast was matching the $70 google fiber price for comcast's fiber (which doesn't have a data cap) but that didn't last long ha. So if you got google fiber in your city might be able to get comcast to match there price.

i dont wanna pay the extra $50 but ill be paying way more if i dont $10 for every 50GB.

i have 3 X1s a ps4 3 tvs using netflix plus i download movies and music constantly.

I looked at it in store the other week since I loved the free episode 1. The box stated that either the last episode or the last TWO episodes are download code only, which is a real shame. Why even have a physical "complete" collection disc if the first one is free for everyone and the last two are download only??

 
For those considering Batman (and in lieu of the discussion above);

I finished Batman: The Telltale Series yesterday, with a buddy of mine.

We enjoyed it (him, more than me - because he's a huge Batman fan). It's a fun game, but it's certainly not as good as The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us. That said, it's still enjoyable and a nice story to the Batman series. Episode 4 in particular is my favorite (which is usually the low point for most Telltale games). Each episode is 1.5 to 2 hrs long (making it a shorter than usual Telltale game, but still about 8-9 hrs in total).

I would rate it a 7/10. Solid, if unspectacular. Worth $10, but if you want to wait - you can probably wait until it goes a little bit lower.

I read that if you have the Free episode One of Batman (telltale). You can install the others from the disc then play without the disc?

Man, I have it on Steam from the Sierra Bundle, but I really am a whore for achievements, maybe I will trade in some stuff and grab it anyways.

I did play Ground Zeros and liked it well enough and finished the campaign (super short). Then I tried one of the side missions and remember why I don't like stealth games. Skipped Solid. Tried to play MSG 2 (I think) on Vita and couldn't get very far with it before I turned it off.

Wait so you played mgs4 before the others? Hahah that's sounds awful mgs4 was a nostalgia trip + climax to the story but if you weren't invested in the "lore" its bad. Mgs3 had one of the best stories in games it's amazing.
 
I'm playing through Deus Ex: Human Revolution now (in preparation for Mankind Divided) and I'm loving it. I don't have the Director's Cut and the boss battles I've gone through so far have required me to use copious amounts of bullets, grenades and the Typhoon special power to beat them. I thought that would bother me more than it does but I'm fine with it. I presume that if you don't like stealth that wouldn't bother you as well as you can spec yourself to be proficient in combat. That said it isn't a full-fledged action game. You'll need to use cover and your gadgets/abilities to come out on top of any massive firefight.

If you didn't like MGS: Ground Zeroes because of the stealth there's still a good chance that you may like Deus Ex because there are non-stealthy ways of completing objectives. You still need to walk around and talk to people (dialogue trees) to advance the story though, and you can't fully avoid stealth as there are cases where you have to subdue someone from behind. You also need to be fine with crawling through ducts.

If you want more action, I'd point you towards the excellent Wolfenstein games which are both on sale for $10 each.

 
Played and 100% both Wolfenstein games on PS4. Really enjoyed them both.

I put in a store pickup order last night for Deus Ex. One more for the pile of shame.

I second (and third) the posts above. Wolfenstein:TNO is probably my favorite game of this console generation. It's amazing.

I also REALLY enjoyed Mad Max. I played the shit out of that for $11 or whatever the BF sales prices were on XBL...
