Lol, 45 mins away from anything and my Dad and I change our own oil. I'm a car guy but I can understand others not wanting to, & he loves to do it as he used to work on the track with funny car drag racers.

Currently enjoying F1 2015 through Game Pass, don't really see the appeal of playing the other older titles in the franchise. Although if that's what you've already got and now you can still play it on Xbox One, all good for ya. I have a friend who loves the EDF series so he'll be very pleased with that info lol.

Unless you reaaaaaaly want that steelbook, it's not worth it. Season pass is essentially some fluff content, play dlc maps earlier than everyone else, a virtually unplayable developer playlist, and you 'own' dlc maps so you can play them in private matches.

Really? That's a shame. I'll probably get to it next year after I've cleared out some of my infinite backlog. Is the campaign good at least? That's the only thing I've ever really cared about when it comes to gears. That series had some of the best shooter co-op campaign moments on the 360 for me......

Campaign is a step down from the ones in Gears 3 and J (it's 2p instead of 4p for instance) but yeah, it's fine.

The final part in particular was marvelous!

Since Brotherhood and Revelations still are not BC, guess I’ll pick up the Ezio Collection again (had it on PS4 but traded it with the big bonus deal at GS). Would rather play on X1.

Eh? I thought both were BC. Brotherhood went BC very recently.

Oops...I’ll blame IGN on that one. They are BC. Obviously IGN is not up to date and I was lazy as that was the first link that came up when searching for BC lists.

Edit: yep, those assholes haven’t updated their list since April. fuck them. No wonder people don’t take them seriously.

I usually use the Wikipedia list, it's just easy to read and gets updated fairly quickly when a new title goes BC.

With that said, I own both the 360 titles and the Ezio Collection. Having the online multiplayer in Brotherhood and Revelations is nice, since it's absent from the remaster, but I'm a sucker for anti-aliasing. The games don't look all that much better in the remaster, but after playing XB1 games for so long, the jagged edges when going back to the older AC titles makes my eyes bleed. Decide which is more important, I suppose.

Brotherhood is still my favorite in the entire series, and one of my favorite games of all time. God damn that's a good game. You know how RE4 can get released nine times and people love that game so much that they have to buy it every time and own it on their toaster? That's AC Brotherhood for me.

I haven't had any 360 games look offensively bad in my eyes yet. Dragon Age Origins is probably the closest. Trying to play Wii games on the Wii U though? Holy shit. Any attempt at improvement would have been appreciated. Even a late generation game like Skyward Sword is filled to the brim with jaggies. The only thing that I tried that held up well was Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Some launch era 360 games really show their age now, especially with ugly textures, but I mostly agree.

I think first party Wii games have aged well, though, Mario Galaxy 2 is still gorgeous. Skyward Sword came out so late that it showed the age of the hardware, Youtube videos of Dolphin running it at 720p or 1080p basically make all the difference and it's a bummer wondering what could have been.

ALSO why am I awake? A bug trapped in my room kept making noise and I'm the lightest sleeper. Its 4am, I'm wide awake, and my work alarm goes off in 3 hours.
 
Same here still awake but its 3am now and far as the bc its cool so i can play my old games i have still but i will not be buying old games i go forward not back unless its my back log lol cag forever max price 30 for a new game if not ill wait

I don't know. I played SMG 2 for the first time a month or two ago, and it was pretty rough. I adjusted after about 10 minutes each time, but it was like a jaggy slap in the eyes every time I first turned it on.

Yea, some of the early stuff last generation is really rough. I was just playing Saints Row yesterday and it nearly made my eyes bleed... the textures are so bad. Not to mention the matchmaking... ugh.

Many of the most noticeable ones were ports from the Xbox though so not sure if that really counts. I still can't believe they ported MUA to the One without any graphical updates. That game was a port to the 360 to begin with... The game WAS good and I would consider playing an updated MUA 2, but I refuse to support that sort of lazy money grab.

Anyone know if the classic pre-order then cancel on Amazon will give a Destiny 2 Beta code? Those 2 extra days will help me out since I work weekends.

Only 5 days on Xbox, the Destiny 1 beta was only 4 though. Didn't realize this was an improvement.

That's how I'm getting my code. Though I plan to wait til after the beta to cancel since they won't charge anything til it ships anyways.

I would do it soon as it takes up to 48 hours for Amazon to email you the beta code.

Also I heard the announcement that everyone gets all the Maps now in Gears 4...The Season Pass wasn't great to begin with but that still feels like a kick in the balls to Season Pass Holders...

It's nothing like Pirate Warriors. This one is a fighting game like the Naruto Storm series.

So I'm on vacation and I brought my systems to abuse the internet access here to download a bunch of old stuff I have been sitting on due to my data cap at home.

Anyway, I queued up well over 20 games but they keep stopping saying "download stopped" and them moving on to something else and starting to download that instead. So I now have games partially downloaded at percentages like 62,13,28,4,31,etc. Now the speed here sucks horribly so I'm guessing that maybe when the connection drops altogether it just randomly picks one to start back up with?

Anybody run into this before or have any theories?

It's not exactly a new announcement. This was made known at launch or slightly before. Only people who didn't read the description were suckered in. Pretty shitty, but it wasn't a bait and switch like the Halo Wars 2 season pass.

 
What Remains of Edith Finch hits XBox next week. Will probably be $20. Highly acclaimed (89 metacritic) walking simulator that was PC/PS4 only before.
