Not a big racing fan but decided to pull the trigger Saturday evening on Forza Horizon 3 and the expansion pass with so many people recommending it. Sooooo glad I did as my son and I are having a blast with it. I also paid the $3 for the treasure map locations and my son is hunting them down.
 
If you have a hard time with the racing part switch to easy or turn on some of the assissts like braking and turning.

I allways put the camera in cockpit or on the front bumper. Seems more fun then looking at the back of the car

You might want to mess around with it some more. I have a KU6300 and it also didn’t say it had HDR10 at first. There’s usually only one HDMI port that supports it and sometimes it can be the quality of the cable. I switched out my cable and it worked. Sometimes if you are going through a receiver it can prevent the XB1 (X or S) from getting the correct readings from the TV.

Took a bit of playing around but got all green checks on mine. The MU series is newer too so I’d be surprised if it didn’t at least support HDR10 (mine technically is an 8-bit panel but still supports it).

The hdmi cable that comes with the Xbox is the proper spec. Some TVs require a setting change for the hdmi port to get full 4k/HDR capability. You might have to run hdmi straight to tv and use a different option for sound, like an optical cable. If you are using a receiver, download the free atmos app it will help you set up properly if you go this route.

Sometimes if you are going through a receiver it can prevent the XB1 (X or S) from getting the correct readings from the TV.

Took a bit of playing around but got all green checks on mine. The MU series is newer too so I’d be surprised if it didn’t at least support HDR10 (mine technically is an 8-bit panel but still supports it).

Ok thanks, I'll mess with it later. I'm using the cable that came with either my S or X, so it should be good. I'll try the different ports.

Think it’s usually port 1 on Samsung TVs. Also make sure in the picture settings that HDR color is enabled.

If they're the standard 25 digit xbox codes you can enter the code in either (1) the Xbox phone app, (2) the windows Xbox app, or (3) the store part of the Xbox UI.

If it's already used it will say so. If it doesn't say anything it should be good just don't click next.
 
Having problems with achievements not working, too. One from Wolfenstein, which apparently happens to a lot of people, and one from Tales of the Borderlands (which displays 100% completed but is still locked?). Really obnoxious.

I think the first game is significantly better than the sequel. It’s linear, which with its enclosed spaces makes more sense as a format for horror survival than open world, IMO.
 
I guess my resolution for the year is to not buy any major releases until my birthday in June. The plan is to kill my insane backlog that just got buffed over the holidays, while also saving up a bit of extra money. One week into my totally open three week winter break and I've managed to make it to 30 hours on Nier Automata. I'm hoping to finish the last third (?) or so in the next two days, then move on to Persona 5, and hope to get pretty far into that before being back to school with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 being next in line due to the Switch's portable nature. 

Aside from that I've played about 3 hours of Prey and it's pretty good. I'd like to get through that, Titanfall 2, and Resident Evil 7 while I'm off too. Also in the immediate backlog is Evil Within 1 and 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Halo Wars 2, Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 Remix, Horizon Zero Dawn and more. I'm not sure if 6 months is going to be enough realistically.

Looking at the list of upcoming games, I might end up needing to bend the rules for a few key games. Bloodstained and Red Dead Redemption 2 seem likely, with Monster Hunter being a possibility too. Aside from that my only day-one buy I know for sure will be Soul Calibur 6, but I'm sure that's going to be late in the year.

I had switched to easy after a few races as I was not doing well and it made a huge difference for my skills. ;-)

Down to four hard xp boards left to get to have all 150. We did the 25 boards each on Blizzard Mountain and in Hot Wheels.

Does anyone else play for achievements like I do?  I enjoyed trying to get 1000/1000 when it was a new thing during the 360 days, but it might be a bit detrimental for me as far as completing games.  Not saying it's the only reason, but my achievement earning has slowed down significantly from the 360 to XB1.

How does offline MP work in FM7? It just shows as coming soon when he tries to access it.

Does he have to get so far in the campaign or something?

As someone who's dealt with this in the past, have you tried looking up the game's page on xbox.com through your game library (Sign In>Microsoft Account>My Games>SpecificGame) & going through to your achievements?

I would rather have each of my fingers broken by a hammer than play in some convoluted way the designers dreamed up for e-bragging rights. But you'll have plenty of support trust me.

I'm in the minority and am A-OK with that lol.

Achievements are great when they aren't tedious. That 500k stars crap in Sky Force? No way. But a game like Rayman Origins? Gave me incentive to do everything there was to do and get more out of a game I loved.

For real no.

I love playing and getting an achievement for my play but that's not why I play. They're a nice accompanying bonus and at times a nice challenge set up by the developers. The grind so many to get this achievements need to die though. What is this, 2006?! Rooster Teeth's Achievement Hunter crew also agree online achievements are lame.

I try to complete as much as possible with games, but when I get a place where some difficulty happens, usually just stop playing and don't pick it back up until weeks later.
 
I play for achievements (standing at 540,000 or so) and there is no MP game I like enough to play long enough to win most of the MP achievements. Legit, I seldom even try. MP requires way too much grinding and dealing with communities who tend to be borderline toxic to deal with.
 
I’m fine with no good sales tonight. Spent a buttload lately including a bunch of WiiU stuff. Really gotta slow down.

Also no need for distractions from tonight’s game.

Back log at 187 games. Just finished Doom. Just happy it was the 2016 Doom and not the OG. I predict a sale on stuff that several people will post "nothing for me this week". It's 2018. Upgrade your complain game.

I'm still staying Resident Evil 7 got robbed out of most of the GOTY stuff cause it released too early, it was great year on Xbox with Wolfenstein II, Cuphead, and most of AC:Origins but man I loved RE7.

My #1 "want to be on sale" game now is easily Hat in Time. Supposed to be fantastic, but on principle I want it to be on discount.

Feeling crappy lately has been good for attacking my backlog. Getting lost in good storytelling helps forget other problems. Wrestle Kingdom 12 needs to live up to the hype, I'm really looking forward to it. Jericho/Omega and Naito/Okada should be fantastic.

Don’t necessarily play for achievements but if it’s a game I enjoy I’ll try to max the game out dlc included. I think 360 games had a wider selection though. I used to think that when I bought a game, that maxing it out was a way to get my monies worth but some games are a little too much with collectibles, online ones as well.

Depends the game, but I know I wanted to 100% AC 1 and 2 but want to say the flags would have been too much without a way to track them. Same with Sunset Overdrive, but didn't want to do the Time Trails.
