oddly if your an achievement fiend like myself the disc is quite useful, there is an exploit on the disc version that was patched on the digital that let's you complete Snake Rattle N Roll without busting everything in the living room in rage. I wouldn't even say that game has "bad controls" I wouldn't even honor it with calling it controls, it's just like random stuff happens when you touch the controller.

 
Well, shit. I could get $18 at GS for Doom w/ a $5 bonus coupon I got last time I was in there. Doom is so good I kinda want to keep it, but I know by the time I feel like playing it again, it'll be even cheaper than it currently is. I paid $20, don't think I can pass up almost breaking even on it, especially considering I bought it in November.

So the question is, do I get XBL credit or save it? Andromeda for ~$12 out of pocket sure sounds nice, but they also have a B2G1 going on right now.

Not sure if this helps, but Andromeda will be $20 starting tomorrow at GS

 
GS also has a trade 6, get 60% bonus credit. I'm looking at $76 in credit, which includes almost $40 for my copy of Xenoblade on Wii. Forget that $5 bonus coupon, with the bonus I'll be making a profit on Doom. This rules.

Right you are. If they end up dropping the used price (seems random, I've seen it happen and not happen with temporary sales) then I'd rather put it towards a B2G1, but otherwise, $20 for Andromeda and basically zero out of pocket sounds absolutely perfect.

You can use that 60% promo and the bonus coupon (coupon will apply only to the highest value game)

This is the second (both European, who I expect would give less of a shit about their relationship with Activision/Sony than an American) retailer to list it for pre-order. I think it's legit.

12/8 is also my birthday so I desperately want to believe it's true. :bouncy:

This has to be happening if this is like the third leak (one was a Italy leak or something).

It was the best selling title of the YEAR on Amazon UK (single sku) so the hype is pretty real. Also ships 1-2 months on Amazon which means Mario Kart switch like sales in the US (or severely under shipped, which I'm gonna believe).

I thought Crash was Trash when I was younger but maybe my mind will change once it comes out for the X1. My friend is ape shit over it and is holding out for a X1 version as well since he plays his X1 90% of the time and is getting the X on release.

Is anyone else taking advantage of the 60% bonus trade at Gamestop right now? I'm trying to figure out some worthwhile stuff to trade in mostly from my retro game stock. I'm at least getting Injustice 2 alongside some XBL credit, but it seems if I really crunch the numbers I can get over $300, which is making me consider getting a PS4.

This is without trading in any current gen, but it seems Forza Horizion 3 is up to $44 with this promotion even without PUR. The only 360 games that I've found worth trading (based on what I own) are, GTAV, MGSV and Tekken Tag Tournament 2

I don't have it, very few of the 360 games I own seem to hold any worthwhile value. I'm going down my list and think I'm just going to take absolutely anything that I'm not attached to, then not upgrading to a console I will still be sitting on some backup credit. At worst, I'll just have to make a pit stop to transfer some of it to XBL credit when the time comes.

That's not a bad idea. I just did that and traded in my fat xb1 since I had a coupon for a bonus $15 trade in on it. Ended up with and XB1s a 2tb hard drive and $140 in credit that I turned into Microsoft Credit to re-buy a lot of the games i just traded in, digitally.

I'm glad you posted this because I was on the fence about trading in Dark Souls and Dishonored to pick up digital at a slight loss, and instead wound up spending 2 hrs driving back and forth between gamestops and turning $350 into $1000 in credit. Got my xboxonexxxx covered! B2G1F + 70% (10% PUR) trade bonus for 6+ games was just bananas. Plus all those rewards points!

It was also B1G1 1/4s at my fav dispensary. Today was a good day. ;)


I'm still on the fence about Dishonored 2. I was enjoying it, although I wasn't playing much. The thing is, I'm sure there will be a bundled version with that new standalone Daud expansion. Similar to Wolfenstein Old Blood being bundled with New Order, but available as a standalone release. So ya, since I'm going to want that Daud expac fo sho, I'm thinking I could just wait for a Brack Friday Bundaroo... on the other hand I picked up xbl credit at basically 65% off and my original intent was to trade in for digital. Bah!

Been a long time lurker of the site, but this thread has become the only one I really view because of the witty banter, top 5's, game recommendations, and all those wonderful date nights. I wouldn't say I've been stalking them or anything, but it's hard not too even when the date is a train wreck.

Lol, trying out F1 2015 with Game Pass and as Rosberg and in the first rainy race Hamilton takes me out. Wow, this is pretty realistic. (Won the next GP, 3 achievements followed, oh yeah.)
 
Random controller question for any who may know: how does the One S controller compare to the original One controller, specifically where the bumpers are concerned? Had one bumper fall off mine (dropped it), and on my fiancé's the left bumper fell off while playing and now the right is on the fritz (hasn't come off but doesn't work consistently). Are the newer models any better?
(Also open to any third party recs if people have them.)

Bumpers are still trash, I don't think anything changed when they upgraded with the 3.5mm jack or bluetooth. Bumpers commonly break on Elite controllers too from what I've heard, as they didn't change the design of the bumpers themselves.

I just traded in a ton of stuff.... I got 1300 credit haha. I traded in so many xbox one games because gamestop is ridiculous.

I have broken bumper on both of my original Xbox One controllers, one of the reasons I picked up the bluetooth Xbox One lunar white on launch day and love the thing. No issues and it feels a lot better sitting in the hand then the old versions.

I'm going to have to completely disagree with this... the bumpers on the Xbox S bluetooth controller feel a lot different to me, they also don't sit as high up, and have more of a springy feel.

Got a total of $93 in credit, which included $45 for Xenoblade (Wii) and $21.60 for Doom (which means they bought my used copy for more than the price of a new copy...?). I wish I had more old stuff stockpiled. Used some valueless stuff to meet the 6 game minimum, but I was never going to play RE6 on my PS3. This promo is insane.

Andromeda wasn't discounted in store yet, and the woman helping me didn't know if the used price would drop for the sale. I'll be going back tomorrow regardless to spend some of this. Any recommendations for the B2G1? I may get Titanfall 2 finally, but I need to figure out 2 other games around the $20 mark if Andromeda isn't discounted used.

Holy shit x2. I wish I'd bought Life is Strange for $5 at Target during the winter, that is crazy.

 
Me and friend just finished Kane and Lynch 2 co-op on normal and beat it in under  3 1/2 hours.

Well at least that got out of the backlog quick. Game was very meh. Gonna try out the multiplayer soonish.

The back of new controllers is textured, feels better than the originals. Not sure if it's all new controllers or just specific ones, mine is the gray one. Do people use the same controller constantly and that's why they break? I haven't had a single issue with controllers, but I have five controllers so maybe switching them out helps?

Do you need to be a pro member for the promo or just a standard member will work? I let mine expire when I got GCU.

 
That Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 bundle for 40 bucks looks like a great deal. They're the deluxe versions, which makes it more interesting. Any word on when they'll be hitting the vault?

BF1 will probably be late this year, if not early next year.

They're swearing up and down that TF2 is in no way connected to EA Access (though I believe they made similar claims with the first one), but we'll see.

I mean logically, if you're using five controllers for an even amount of time, they'd each experience wear and tear at just 20% of the rate a single controller would, so there's obviously something to that.
