tried to get revelations through the xbone and it said I could only purchase content through the 360 or website, I know I cant use credit but not letting me buy it all is strange.

Man there's a lot of good games coming out but I'll probably wait for sales since I have a lot to play already, Shiness, Disney, Voodoo Vince, Skyline, Flinthook, 'n Verlore all seem fun :p

 
I found my $50 spacebuck on my desk, redeemed it and bought Aaero and ESO Gold Edition.

I searched and Vince will be $15 and Play Anywhere.

I'm pretty sure Five Below will let you swap it out without a receipt if you ask. Not like they can deny that it came there if all you want is the same thing. But I could also understand if this experience has soured you on wanting to play it.

No thoughts on whether Just Cause 3 is worth it? I think it was patched to help with framerate issues. Wasn't it?

If I do get it, might go for the XL edition if anyone has any feedback on the extra content.

Can't speak to the XL edition, but even with patches the game still runs terribly

 
So I'm new to the Mass Effect series.  I recently purchased the trilogy off of Amazon and figured I would start the series from the beginning before trying Andromeda.  I know all three games are backwards compatible and I am in the middle of installing all of the discs that come with the trilogy pack.  I just installed the first disc of Mass Effect 2 without any problems but when I insert the second disc my X1 tells me that it is a 360 game that is not backwards compatible.  I am currently installing the first disc of Mass Effect 3 and will attempt the second disk shortly.  But has anyone else had this problem with disc two of Mass Effect 2?  Do I need to contact Amazon about a faulty disc?

You should only need disc one to play all of it, it installs the whole game and when you get to a part in game where you have to switch discs it automatically does it for you.

Was playing with my sound settings and noticed a headset format "windows Sonic for headphones" it says virtual surround sound only works in apps now but it'll work with games soon. Will be cool if Xbox one starts using virtual surround without a dss soon.

Wonder if even the power of Scorpio can fix this game. It was pretty crappy on PS4 at launch too. Nothing I have heard seems to indicate they ever fixed it. Shame JC2 was a blast and this one is fun too but performance issues really killed it for me.

I played 2+ hours of Mass Effect Andromeda single player today.  Seems fine to me performance and animation wise.  One small glitch/stutter where I thought the game crashed but it didn't.  

Seems fun enough so far.  Will finished up my 10 hour trial and wait for it to hit the vault.

Pretty sure I read online that the extra juice in the ps4 pro made just cause 3 more stable.. I imagine the Scorpio will be even better.

I picked up JC3 last black Friday and in highly looking forward to seeing how it performs on the Scorpio.

So if it improves experience I'll he keeping an eye out for a sale on the season pass.. Not gonna buy it until then though :p

Yeah I will watch to see how well they allow the game to run on Scorpio or best case scenario if they'll support Scorpio optimization through 4K updates.

The 2nd disc for ME2 has N7 missions, basically the times you'd go down and go on a mission on a planet it would ask for the 2nd disc. It also had the end mission too. Cool you don't have to worry about that though, it was a pain to switch discs, even though yea yea that's what you did in RPGs.

Apparently the optimization is built onto the hardware so in essence the game should run better without the developers doing any more for the game. It sounds to me they really need to look where the bottlenecks are, something they've talked about with 1st party titles anyways, and have the developer support the game with Scorpio/4K updates.

about to finish the tell tale game of thrones, pretty solid game though it feels like it drags a bit, looking forward to getting season 2 for this cheap in a few years

PS4 Pro's boost mode has improvements in some parts, so I imagine the Scorpio would be able to build on that and keep a consistent 30fps.

Sniper Elite 3 doesn't hold up well despite only being a few years old, and Screamride gets boring after an hour tops.

Did you like Sniper Elite 3? Can you turn off the kill cam? Seems like that would get old really quickly.

 
Lego Hobbit - Kids got bored fast and they love Lego games

Pixel Piracy - I got bored but for how cheap it is I'll give it another chance

Screamride - Kids enjoyed it - seems highly repetitive

Rio 2 - Kids loved this game when I got it from Target Clearance. Mini games abound

Escape Dead Island - Guilty pleasure GOTY worthy Absolutely Not , fun in a goofy B Movie way yes.

MUA 1/2 Loved these games the first go round can't imagine that they have aged well.
 
My buddy wants me to buy overwatch since he's infatuated with it. I'm infatuated with R6 Siege when he isn't. Is Overwatch as different to CoD and Titanfall as R6 Siege? I just wish $40 wasn't it's "sale" price a year after release WITH microtransactions, although cosmetic. I'd buy physical if it wasn't still $40 there, too. But what should I expect? A four year old Blizzard game is on sale for $20 right now, and people are going ga-ga over it. I'm torn. I feel like I'd hate it, but if there are others that adore both Siege and Overwatch, I'd like to take the leap.

 
Thinking about the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Bundle but a few people are saying it is not worth it at the price it is at. Is it likely to get cheaper? It has been on sale twice before at 25% and 35% off and now the third time on sale at 50%.

Overwatch is much different than COD, Titanfall or R6 Seige. If you've ever played Team Fortress 2 that's about the closest comparison. Tons of heroes with unique and crazy abilities, traps, etc. It's basically a fantasy shooter and pretty easy to pick up and play but also deep enough where it will take time to master, especially with some characters.

Although I haven't played it as much as I should, I think it's a great game but if you're looking for something more serious, R6 Seige would probably be more up your alley. The games couldn't be further apart IMO.

I loved MUA when it first came out but it's pretty dated. I haven't played MUA 2 but I haven't heard a ton of good things about it. I'd wager it will hit 60-75% off at some point since they are straight ports with no clean up or bug fixing.

 
I'd actually argue siege and overwatch are similar. It's very class heavy and team composition is very important. It also has a highly toxic competitive scene. They both entered the "games as a service" space so you can expect longevity. If you really like siege I think overwatch could be something you enjoy I've played both and sold both shortly after acquiring them lol. Only way I see you may not enjoy it is if you enjoy siege for it's "realism".

Classes are also important in Diablo, but I wouldn't compare that to Overwatch. Methodical cover-based tactical shooter vs. fast-paced shooter with super powers that looks like Pixar animated it. I don't think there's a shooter that plays like Overwatch (I didn't even like TF2 and I love Overwatch) and I think that's why it's so successful. Re: toxic competitive scene, is that for top tier diamond players or? I play competitive at a moderate level and never had a problem. On PC people will criticize you for picking Widow on attack, etc but since no one chats on XB1 you never hear anything. I've never had a message talking crap or anything.
 
I thought someone already mentioned this, but I couldn't find any posts of it when searching back to last Monday.  On one of my alternate/silver Live accounts, I got a code from Microsoft for $5.  It was related to the Spring Sale (probably to encourage people to buy stuff) and the code has to be redeemed by April 18.  If you have any alt/silver accounts, might be a good idea to check if you were given free $.

Maybe wait for a free to play weekend? Those still happen, right? $40 for an MP only game you may not like is too much of a risk. If you still enjoy Siege I'd suggest staying with that until you feel the need for a change of scenery on the MP front. It will go on sale again anyway.
