I bought Technomancer. That game looks painfully mediocre. Why didn't I wait for less than $10? Especially since I'm just going to play Dark Souls anyways.

I think I might pick up Alien Isolation. I've avoided it cause I'm a pansy and it's going to make me wet myself, but I love the series and the DLC looks really cool. I know it was a few bucks cheaper for Halloween, but $16 for the whole shebang still seems like a good price.

I mean, the Avengers fighting each other was......a pillow fight. But hey, we all love airport destruction porn.

Last but not last, hopefully GR Future Soldier goes BC soon.

I'll just chime in and say that Friday the 13th has some inexcusable problems right now, but when it works it is kind of amazing. Much more fun than I thought it was going to be (and I thought it would be at least solid).

Full disclosure, I have a lot of love for the franchise so ymmv. $40 is high for the current content, but once they fix the issues and add some new maps (single player content is presumably coming in the summer for free), they could have something special.

I'm playing on PS4 and was able to get into a decent number of games over the weekend, but it was frustrating. Long waits, frequent disconnects, and XP not being applied. Actual jankiness/glitches in the game haven't really bothered me. It almost feels appropriate considering the cheesy low budget films that inspired it all.

Apparently the XP IS being applied, its just not showing up. Also, if you join the Friday the 13th communities, you can join private matches through them. Definitely easier than waiting for those "quick" matches. Apparently that's being patched today too.
 
Be pleasantly surprised if there are any BC releases this week. The long holiday weekend we just had plus Game Pass is live for all starting Thursday doesn't bode well since MS loves a singular focus.

I hope I am wrong though.

And today we get Kingdoms of Amalur, Max Payne 3 and Fear 3.

 
I just watch the DC shows on the CW. Screw the movies. The shows are not that much better, but they do occasionally reference the Pre-Crisis DC Universe which I still prefer to the Post-Crisis, Post Zero Hour, Flashpoint and the New 52, despite the continuity errors and silliness.

Just chiming in to agree here. I got it on Redbox when it came out and played co op with my roommate just to see how bad it was. The AI is crap, the shooting is very standard and uninspired, the game ends extremely abruptly, and also, the story was supposed to be canon but its so bad that they'll never do anything with it. For those that don't care:

Bill Hicks shows up and is apparently alive. So dumb.

I've played bad games for good stories, but there's honesty nothing redeeming here, especially not for $8. This GIF sums it up nicely:

However, people who ended up liking it may not have understood all the controversy surrounding its release and how drastically different the final product was from the demo that was shown at E3 prior to its release. it looked like it was going to be very good but now it seems probable that gearbox used the money Sega gave them to make this game and put it into Borderlands 2.

So the exclusives that :pS4: has with Activision games, I'm OK with.  What is increasingly harder to tolerate, however, is all the JRPG's that Squeenix sees fit to release on every console other than :xb1:.  I'm not aware of any other game coming out to every major platform other than :xb1: besides this game, but I'm in the mood to be dramatic.

Man, what's this bologna about Marvel Heroes Omega releasing almost a month after the PS4 (out now)? I mean I could play it but the X1 is my main system. Also I'm saddened Danger Zone isn't on X1 also.

I would expect more of VR compatibility than a Microsoft branded headset. I've tried VR and have no interest in it's current state but compatibility would be good for ppl that do want it. I've only played the HTC Vive but I just didn't care to play more at home, I like playing on a tv with a controller.
 
Whomever decided to forget the "Move All" from the X360 system in copying contents of a whole drive to another drive when making the XB1 system needs to be repeatedly pleasured with a sandpaper dildo.

Moving 150+ games and 50+ apps from my 4TB external to my new 8TB external one item at a time was a few hours I'd like back in some form of repayment.

Besides HoloLens, they've partnered with oculus I believe. With that said, I don't think it would be a good idea for them to do anything vr at E3. They need to focus on console exclusives that are coming out soon, not things that would be coming out in a few years and end up like fable legends and scalebound. Not only does sony have a console vr monopoly, they also have an exclusive monopoly.

Though Square Enix just announced a new JRPG for every platform today except, you guessed it, XBox One.

Of course no Vita and Wii U announcements which are expected at this point, and I'd imagine Nintendo is gonna start holding developers by gunpoint next year to make sure everything comes to Switch rather then 3DS if the game is not coming to both systems.

I've been excited for VR since childhood and I own a PSVR that I've been really happy with so far. I would love to see a VR headset for Scorpio, but not at the expense of exclusives

I almost jumped on GotG and WD Season 3 since they're on sale... but then it dawned on me.... I have every other Telltale game and have only finished Wolf Among Us.  I got most of the way through GoT before I got distracted.  I think I can wait until the holidays when both of these are undoubtedly on a much nicer sale.

I don't think there's anything for me this week!

Yeah, I was expecting Mania to be $30 because of the cost of the collector's edition. I think it's still worth that $70 if you're a big fan. Seems decent for the size of the statue and that cool fake cartridge.

 
Can the Season Pass Discs of Game of Thrones and Tales From The Borderlands (Xbox One) be downloaded then played without the disc? I've seen mixed responses.

With Batman Telltale X1, you could insert the Season Pass Disc, download it and never need the disc again. BUT the catch is you need to own Episode 1 to do so.
