So more info on Forza and what they didn't show because there's a ton there. There's a campaign mode when you can customize six different cups and you'll need to take part in specific disciplines, race trucks being one example talked about. The gear is cool but the whole every race will be different is even cooler.

As far as the Minecraft cross play goes from what I've read you'll be required to sign in with a Microsoft account no matter what platform you're on and that's part of the reason Sony said no. Also with them being in the lead right it forces you to buy their console if your friends own it and you want to play with them. Get those kids on PS while they're young to build that brand loyalty.

Anyone else have trouble downloading AC III for GWG? I've been trying for a week and no luck, keep getting the "Sorry" error on Xbox One and Xbox.com and an error code on 360. I spent like 2 hours with chat the other day and they said it's a known issue and to keep trying. Anyone else had this issue?? Of note, I'm located in a minor outlying US territory, but everything else has worked out here so far. My Xbox and account are set to the US region.

It's an interesting argument. It could go the way you mentioned which is how Sony sees it. it could also go if all their friends have a switch or xbox, and they only have a playstation that they may have to change change/extend their current gaming platform. I'm not sure Minecraft is big enough to start the sway but if you start seeing more multi-platform games go cross-platform between Xbox/Nintendo/PC then Sony could do itself more damage than good in the long term. It'll be interesting to watch over the course of the next 5 years, as I think it'll take at least that long for a noticeable shift.

 
Got everything transferred to the 4TB drive. Wow, that is a stupid system for mass data transfers (as in, there isn't one). Also, the X1 only saw it as a media drive at first and the system options for formatting a HDD are not intuitive at all.

 
So this morning my Day One Xbox One refused to play any games or launch any apps.  I kept getting the "Something went wrong is taking to long..." with error 8027025A.  This was for all games, digital and disc.  I checked if there were any updates to the console and I saw a "System Update Pending" message, but nothing other than a Roblox update was in the download queue.  I did a restart and a hard restart but same thing.

Any ideas?

Do a hard power turn off, and then pull the back power plug out of the back for like 10 seconds. Then boot up ol' fatty and try again.

That dream is dead at this point. At least now we'll have totally functioning multiplayer and a full playlist selection, and the bonus of having all our old custom files. There will probably be a bigger population than MCC with this update too. I'm pretty sure Reach regularly outclasses MCC now.

Reopen Halo 2 servers and merge with MCC. Same for Halo 3?

Dream is probably dead, but they did a disservice to the game.
 
I was honestly expecting 343's small Halo announcement at E3 to be that MCC was getting a Xbone X optimized build (4K/60 FPS) which would hopefully include another patch or two to make it run better in general. They could have even made it a Play Anywhere title if they wanted a financial incentive to do so. Seems like a no-brainer, as that's the kind of shit that would make hardcore fans jump on a XBX.

At least KI got something..

No way, the main reason MCC broke was that they were basically mashing together 4 or 5 different networking solutions without the proper time or effort to make them play nice with each other.

I think the amount of money/time/effort it would take to simply fix MCC is way more than they feel is worth it, let alone doing a Scorpio upgrade. A PC port seems a bit more feasible as they would in theory make money for sales, but I get the impression they have no idea how to truly fix the game up to 100%.

Ha! I was actually searching the store last night hoping it was released, as I had no idea when the release time frame was supposed to be. I'll be buying this the hour it goes up. Been playing Aaero a lot lately, which is great, but the trailer for Thumper looks greater.

No clue why the X360 has the "Transfer All" button and the XB1 doesn't. So simple to fix.

At least the transfers happen in the background, I set up about 30 of them and loaded up Netflix. Meanwhile, the 360 is completely unusable while transferring games. But yeah, it drives me insane when functionality is removed from a new system that the old one had.

 
Picked up Stardew Valley. Any thoughts on Bridge Constructor? I like offbeat games (obv), but I'm not sure whether I'd like it.

I did the same thing, started with largest items and worked down to smallest ones, where if it was less than 1GB, it was done by the time I went to the next one or just about done.

Gears 4 @ 90GB was an eye-opener and Halo 5 @ 87GB was another one. Though, at least I could hook both drives up at the same time and transfer from my 4TB to my 8TB.

With my PS4 Pro and its new 4TB where I'm starting to get storage remorse and should have just dropped 8TB on it out of the gate, I have no idea how I'm going to transfer items if I go from one external drive to another. Sony won't let you connect two drives at the same time, just the internal + one external. My assumption is that I'll need to transfer everything from the internal to a new external, then connect the old external, move from old external to internal and then again from internal to new external.

So I hear Xbox and PC only get Destiny 2: Missing DLC Edition. To bad I was already planning to not buy it or I would not buy it again. Would be funny to me if Xbox and PC gamers said f-you to Bungie by not buying it until they stop making ridiculous deals with Sony.
 
After how Destiny went thought major changes with each DLC last go around, I'm thinking I'm just going to hold off on Destiny 2 for a year or so regardless of the fact that I have a PS4.

Sure, they may have learned from the first game but don't think I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Let them use Sony as their live beta test.

I want Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 to be backwards compatible for Xbox One.  I still played it on occasion on my 360.  Just had to drop my 360 out of HD to do so.  I somehow doubt that it would be made available though.  I'm sure there would be licensing issues with the music.  Still my favorite THPS game.

 
Why did I think getting lawn seats to a concert in Charlotte in June was a good idea? Thunderstorms look to be in my future to pair with Muse/30 Seconds to Mars/Missio tonight.
