I was running dungeons in FF14 this morning and wondering why I wasn't catching robot fish in Nier instead. Tonight I told myself, now there's no power. I'm sure that's probably an analogy for our backlogs and death.

I think I'd love the RPG part of it (same as I loved Fallout New Vegas), but I will miss that kind of freedom in an open world game for a long time.

But first I will probably clear easier and shorter games. All Telltale series and Life is Strange should let me free up a lot of HDD space, get some easy Gamerscore and earn some slight hope that I will ever clear my backlog.

Spoiler: that won't happen.

I also lost all the hype I had for Mass Effect, don't know why, I didn't even feel the need to replay the trilogy. I'll still get it because I have to pay 10€ but I'm debating whetever I want to trade it in instantly for 40 or try to play it. Well, two more weeks I guess.

 
I wouldn't quite say blocking the occasional troll/idiot makes anywhere an echo chamber. A forum by design usually becomes one to lesser or greater degrees depending on how they are moderated and what ends up popular. I think Reddit and Neogaf are probably the worst out of general forums for this, just based on my experience floating around the internet for the past 15 years or so.

I don't think our XBL thread is too bad in this respect. Obviously we have an Xbox focus, but the general taste in games is all over the map and most of us are willing to be critical just as often as positive of various subjects. The heavily off-topic goofiness that's gotten ridiculous over the last 6 months or so probably helps a bit in this regard.

Many of our users blocking someone who comes in a stirs up shit, first weekly and now daily, is really going to lead more healthy discussion instead of the same pointless arguing clogging up the thread. If only it blocked you from seeing their quoted posts too.

It was 1.89 back in October when I bought it. Played it on PS4 want to replay it on XBox One but haven't so far. I played it after all the big patches. Still a bit glitchy in places but was fun. Especially the co op play. Had a good team for that.

 
Man, for 1.09 I guess I'll grab a digital upgrade for when I finally do go back to it. I might pay the 2.29 for a month of EA Access to mess around with Mass Effect and get it pre-installed. I'm still not sure I want to play multiplayer until I've finished the game though.

Oh, my bad. I got the standard edition. I'll probably spring for the premium pass while the free deluxe upgrade is included, but with EA Access, that's $45 versus the $47 extra the ultimate edition was going for in the sale, so I figured there's no hurry.

I see what you're saying, but I would never block someone for "offending" me, as has been suggested in the last couple of pages. Trench is repeating the same tired crap on the same days of the week every single week. Ignoring someone who posts the same mindless thing twice each week is no different than blocking spam emails.

Now to work on getting myself blocked. NFL off-season really heating up. Patriots traded for Dwayne Allen yesterday, signing Stephen Gilmore today, and in talks to trade Malcolm Butler for Brandin Cooks (I'd prefer Butler, that guy is a gamer, he may get beat at times, but he plays hard every play and doesn't back down from anyone). They better resign Dont'a Hightower now or the linebacker core will be super thin (and god awful)

Can someone log in into their reward page and see if it's messing up for them too. I logged in to see if my reward pts have posted from buying a few days ago and all my stars have been wiped and no credits pending, it's as if I never signed up. I've been a member for 4 years now.

IIRC, that's the currency you earn at max level doing dailies and stuff. I haven't played since June, so I could be wrong about that.

Also, blocking is for snowflakes and Trench has been less obnoxious in his posts the last couple weeks. I still say he's over eager to get credit for "calling it first," but it is likely we're past peak BC. I hope they roll out OG BC, but I'm not holding my breath (of the wild)*.

The Microsoft software engineers have proven they are wizards - capable of doing the seemingly-impossible, so I'm hoping they make Uncharted 4 backward compatible this morning.

 
Well, Bill Stillwell (the guy in charge of the BC team) acknowledged on twitter that people would be upset today though he didn't specify why (but we can guess).

Same thing happened at my work yesterday - we promised the QA team that we'd give them a build and there were way too many problems. It was tempting to just give the damn build and walk away but we didnt. :wall:

RIP our project (and us).
