I went to the movies last week and they were there. I assume they are just some leftovers after the promotion. I didn't check if those Regal comics were free on the site. I was just basically providing some links for more free comics. I don't know if everyone's Regal has them. Doesn't hurt to ask the theatres if you don't see them. Sometimes the theatres have leftovers for promos and if you ask they usually will give it to you for free. At least the one's in my area do.

Gotcha. I'd ask but it doesn't seem like a huge market for digital comics. Thanks for your links all the time though. Even though some are random, they're ALWAYS helpful. The AtomTickets deals in particular have saved me alot of money. You're the freebie God and we appreciate you!!!

Comixology is great. I made the switch from physical to digital a few years ago (great comic shops are hard to find these days). It makes them much easier to travel (and in the case of a large collection, move) with.

Yeah, the Atom Tickets freebies/deals were great. I've seen so many movies for free or cheap. Unfortunately the Atom Tickets codes lately seem to only work for new members. Used to be able to use the codes for existing accounts. Although it's pretty easy to just make a new account with all the free e-mail accounts one can create on the web. Still, kind of pain. :razz:

Hey, Today is T-Mobile Tuesday and there are $4 Transformers tickets via Atom. I don't have T-Mobile, but lots of people on SD have been trading their codes or giving them away. $4 tickets can be used for most showings opening weekend. So get the pricey tickets for 4 bucks. :)

My Dead By Daylight expert friend says that DBD for Xbone will include all current DLCs for the Steam version except for the Halloween one, and it also won't include Bill from Left 4 Dead (Steam bonus character I guess)

That used to work in my area, but it seems all the theatres have switched to reserve seats now. Fortunately you can still exchange the tickets for another movie at guest services. Maybe even get a voucher for a future visit if you can't see a movie at that time. YMMV.

Thankfully only one theater in one complex is using reserved seating for now in my area. Even that theater is a joke because no one seems to follow their assigned seating and I have yet to see a fight over a seat.

Funny thing though. I lived in London for a semester in 1989 and they had assigned seating even back then. And there it was pricier than shit. Had to pay almost double for the best seats from what I recall.

Thanks, yeah, tried that and it didn't work. Tried everything lol. Two discs work with no issues, every other disc doesn't. And no, no grinding sound, just the regular laser trying to read sounds, then nothing, as if there's no disc in there.

All the theaters around me are assigned seating, which I prefer since I like seeing a lot of movies in the first night or two. I live near one of the best imax theaters in the country, and trying to see a marvel or star wars movie there is awful in the first week. In order to get a decent seat at the imax you need to show up basically when the previous showing is starting. Only downside to me for the assigned seats is that they're more expensive now. Unless it's a 3D movie, it's cheaper to go to the imax than the regular theater.

That's weird. I've never been to an assigned seating theatre. I guess it's more of a regional thing? I don't go to a bunch of movies, so maybe that's my issue...

 
I'm just glad that the theater that has assigned seating by me does not charge more for the best seats. But I can see that coming down the pike. Theaters are going to squeeze as much as they can out of us.

Played the Dead Rising mini golf. It was kinda meh, your character doesnt move (you're not Frank West), just stands by the ball and tees off. The golf ball and teleporting to the next tee is the only thing that kills zombies (zombies dont attack you in this dlc)  and since your'e not Frank your gameplay doesnt level you up

There's a nice dine in AMC theater near me that's assigned seating. It's so nice sitting in those big, comfortable reclining chairs and enjoying a burger and beer while watching a movie. Somehow tickets there are cheaper than the Regal that's slightly closer to me

I have T-Mobile, so I'll go see this movie. Wonder Woman was excellent, I doubt this will be

That seems crazy. The theaters near me have had assigned seating for at least a few years and all seats cost the same. They do give a service charge per a ticket when purchased online though, which will be the majority of the movie tickets purchased.

Nope, it makes the trying to read sound, then nothing, like theres no disc in there. Just tried my old Fable 2 disc, and a bluray movie, it made the trying to read sounds, then nothing, like no disc was in. Put my borderlands disc back in and it read it right away.

Just tried that, since I did have it on instant on, didn't help unfortunately. I do power cycling at least once a week because of always updating skyrim mods, but did it again anyway, no difference. It's just weird that it's got no issues with two specific discs, but won't read any others. Hmpf...lol.

Dungeon Defenders 2 servers are being overloaded. A notice in the main menu said they are adding more servers. Hopefully that finishes soon

Question for you fine ladies and gents:

I'm getting conflicting stories on this one. If you play Skyrim with mods do you still get achievements? The mods make the game so much more fun/beautiful. Some folks have said yes they still got achievements with mods and others saying mods disable the achievements. So what is it?

Thank you Bob. That sucks. The game is so much better with the graphic mods.

I wonder if you could play the game till the end then load your game save and delete all the mods and load it back up if the achievements would then pop

I didn't realize cosmetic mods disabled achievements, that's really stupid. Obviously anything which changes the gameplay itself would be an issue, but graphics? Stupid.

I got excited last night and picked up Breach & Clear, Heart & Slash, Rogue Legacy, Stories of Bethelm, Saturday Morning RPG, and Guns, Gore, & Cannoli.

Probably won't be able to give any first impressions, as I'm too busy getting back into Dark Souls 1. I've beaten 2 & 3 multiple times, but 1 still manages to keep me too scared to get much done. Last night I finally completed Darkroot Garden for the 1st time ever, and I was shocked at how small that zone was. I saw the invisible dudes and said "Nope, no way, fuck this, I'm out." Turns out there's 4-5 near the entrance and that's it. I did the same thing with Sif, who's a giant wolf boss with a telephone pole sized greatsword clenched in its jaw. He whooped me once way back when I first played Dark Souls and I never tried him again until last night. Spoiler alert, he's a pussy. Sigh, now if I could just get more than 10 ft into New Londo Ruins without pissing myself...

Speaking of, one of the things that's helping me finally get through Dark Souls is the Dumbsh*ts Guide on youtube. He does a good job showing how to complete an area without having to "git gud," and I like the mix of humor and dread.

It would probably require real people dedicated to verifying all of the mods on the service to check whether they're affecting gameplay or not since you can't really trust that people wouldn't try to sneak things in if they could earn achievements with them. That's why they're offering a service of specifically-curated mods and DLC that does allow that to happen.

I agree with you but let's not pretend for a second that implementing paid mods is about ensuring the "sanctity" of achievements.

It's just one of the few benefits that arises from the new system.

 
^ I get the disapproval, I do and Bethesda's E3 presser was very mild for me personally. I did perk up when I saw that these mods will work with achievements though. Hey, I'll finally use mods now!

Then why else would mods in those two games (and cheats in certain other games) disable achievements?

It's at least for the illusion of sanctity. And with paid mods filtering which mods work with achievements and which don't, they can pretend that they care about keeping it that way.

Pretty fun mini golf game - Finally feel like I didn't waste my money on the season pass (got it for $9 during a sale).
Has a 3 button press swing like most golf games, you get points for killing zombies as you go, sometimes you can hit barrels that explode which kill larger groups. Hitting turbo arrows on the ground gives the ball a boost that lets you do kind of trick shots. I'm not sure why it would get bad reviews, it's just a funny, simple dead rising golf game - what did anyone expect?
