This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

 • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
 • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
 • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
 • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
 • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
 • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Damn it. I bought SC2 HD at 50% off a couple months ago and I haven't even played it yet.
Replace SC2 with Hell Yeah from the Christmas 2012 sale and that's me. Or replace it with Dust ... or Bastion ... or Alan Wake's American Nightmare ... :wall:

Maybe I'll learn ... someday, after this current batch of sales has ended of course.

Glad I waited after reading the issues with SC2 during Christmas. I'll hop on it for $5 though. Must have sold like shit to go on sale twice so fast.

I never even touched multiplayer and had a blast in the single player campaign. Can't even comment on what the multiplayer is like. I'm assuming it's fairly good if there's anyone out there playing it for an older obscure RTS console game. But the single player campaign alone is worth the price of entrance.
Just for reference ( and HDD space ), it seems that the physical copy for RUSE is about $10 at GS and $8 at BB.

Lost Planet 2 can be fun with a group, but then again so can most games not matter how bad if you're playing with the right set of people.

Buy yeah, playing that shit alone is not advised.
I second this. I had a blast playing Lost Planet 2 with my little nephew a few weeks ago. It has some great mechanics that are a bit overcome by the cumbersome controls and a sorta bad in game map that made it hard to figure out where to go or what to do at times. But if you just want mindless shooting of giant reptiles/insects in mechs it's actually not too bad. Considering that we sifted through dozens of games to find something with 2-player offline co-op I think it's definitely worth the $5 for some half decent couch co-op.

God damnit I knew I'd regret paying $10 for SoulCalibur II.

Lost Planet 2 can be fun if you've got at least one other person to co op with. Playing alone is not recommended. Oh and it does have 2 player splitscreen, but it's one of those games where second player doesn't get to earn achievements or save their progress.

Welp, probably going to get AC Verdict Day. I'm gonna sit on Guardians of Middle Earth for awhile. One dollar is really tempting, but considering Monolith hasn't bothered to fix this game's serious problems, and it looks like they're just going to shut down the servers before long, eh. Today's bleeding me dry already.

Wasn't expecting that Irrational/Ken Levine thing. I wish him well in whatever he's going on to do, and hope the old team gets support from 2K.

Hmmm, would consider Hell Yeah!! if it was a little cheaper than that... It's a good price, I guess, but... I want to pay less for it ($2).
I had alot of fun with the game. It was definitely worth the $3.74 I paid for it during the Christmas sale. If you're an achievement hunter it's also an easy 400 gamerscore.

Does Major Nelson think it's a really clever business thing to not post prices?
The prices can vary in regions. For example, look back a few pages, it says AC Brotherhood is €5 compared to $10 here. Or Halo Reach, which was $10 in Canada compared to the $7 in the US.

Sorta reminds me of Walmart and their "clearance" pricing. They will put a clearance sticker on a product with the price, but they don't show the old price. That's because the markdown is minimal and thus wouldn't have the same effect.

With that being said...anyone have any opinions on F1 2013?

What is Dust? I know nothing about it. Someone sell me on it.

It's a side scrolling brawler with animal characters. It's allegedly pretty good and generally well liked.

I know that I remember Soul Calibur II being more fun than it probably was, it will probably waste away in my stupid huge backlog, but dang I'm tempted to throw $5 at it for nostalgia sake.

Yeah, like you, a lot of people got it last sale and had fun with it. It's just that... well, I dunno, doesn't appeal too much to me, I guess. But would feel obligued to get it if it reached the $2 mark.

I like to complete games (chievos) if possible, and it's good to know that Hell Yeah is easy. Once I buy it, I'll make sure to 100% it :D

Wow, couldn't believe that there's people who didn't hear about Dust. Well, the video necrotron posted does a good job showing the game.

It's a very beautiful side scroller hack & slash with metroidvania elements and combos. Really liked the game. Don't go near it if you hate furries by any unknown reason xD

I think it's amusing how we're all into these daily deals and the weekly deals are damn good, I know I'm picking up a few things to add to the backlog.  Then every night we're tapping refresh on xbldb at 7:00 PM (est) being all into it and having a good time.

Then next week it'll be a sale on Bioshock 2 DLC and everyone will be all "WTH!  PS+ is giving away 2014 Corvette Stingray's and we get this shit!"

I say that lovingly, being a tried and true CAG for a long while now.  It's just funny.  We're funny bitches.

Why is that a concern now compared to the past? List them in America bucks with the percentage so everybody else can do the ballpark math.

People were complaining about how prices were more higher on their Xbox than what Major Nelson posted. Just click the link that is available with each one to see what the price is in your region.

Hell Yeah! is a fun game worth $3.74 and then some for those who don't own it already.

Is Ass Bro the sequel to Ass Creed 2?

Otherwise, looks like I'm safe and my 360's download for Dante's Inferno can continue.

Because America isn't the only country in the world? If math is so hard for you, you can click the link he posts and it takes you to your local Xbox.com site.

If anyone doesn't have Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, do yourself a favor and buy it. It's my personal favorite, plus the Da Vinci DLC (which goes on sale a couple times a year) is great.

OH! And if you complete all the Animus training sessions (which are fun anyway) with at least a bronze, you unlock the Raiden outfit from Metal Gear Solid which Ezio can wear throughout the entire game.

Thanks for the Dust info guys. It looks neat. I'm also thinking about Asura's Wrath, D&D Daggerdale, and Motocross Madness. And yay or nays on those?

I love coming home from work and checking on the sales during these Ultimate Sales weeks. Haven't bought anything yet this week but it's looking promising! I want something multiplayer that I can play w my wife or son, we have all the Lego Games.

Lost Planet 2 is fun times with other people and I liked Anerican Nightmare for what it was.

So D&D Daggerdale or LOTR Guardians of middle E? Can the LOTR game be played solo??

AA has a very anime vibe to it. I rented it once, but didn't have enough time to fully experience it. I plan on just watching a playthrough on YouTube since the game is mostly cutscenes.

Daggerdale is boring.

Like boring boring.

You get one boring for each dollar you spend.

So D&D Daggerdale or LOTR Guardians of middle E? Can the LOTR game be played solo??
Yeah, but you'll get way more excitement with it if you have at least a couple of people to play with. The whole team game thing isn't as fun when your team is a bunch of A.I.

Damn SC II is $4.99 and I got it for $9.99 back when it was on sale during the Holidays and I still haven't played it. Lol.

For $1.99 you can't go wrong with Motocross Madness. If you've ever played Pure on 360, its similar to that. You can't go wrong for $2 and its a very fun game. Also, FYI, there is a DLC for $4.99 which I'm waiting for to be on sale before I buy it (just in case you're a completionist). As for Asura's Wrath, its a fun game but you would be better off getting it on a retail disc.

So D&D Daggerdale or LOTR Guardians of middle E? Can the LOTR game be played solo??
Indignate is right that D&D Daggerdale is boring. I will say that it had a lot of bugs at release, many of which I think have now been fixed, so if you read reviews and it talks about that aspect you can be assured that that's less of an issues. But it's just such a dreadfully mediocre experience. I got it for free when they were giving it away on the Indian marketplace, I think, a good while back and tried it recently. I can see why they were giving it away. It's just monotonous, repetitive and just a terrible use of a name franchise. I can't believe they ever charged a dime for it in the first place. I played it for like 25 minutes, got the sense that thngs were only going to get worse and stopped. Considering there are just heaps of RPG/Dungeon Crawlers for the 360 at this point in its end cycle you'd do better off skipping it. Hell even the free-to-play Ascend: Hand of Kul is a much better experience, just play that.

Guardians of Middle Earth interests me more as there aren't many console MOBAs out there. I know it has its issues but I'm going to take a chance on it for a $1 as I've never played many MOBAs and do want to see what the go is with them.

PS: It's also worth noting that Daggerdale had a cap at level 10 and was meant to be part of a trilogy of games set in the Forgotten Realms world from Bedlam Games (the same studio that worked on the forgotten disaster of Scratch: The Ultimate DJ) with each game increasing that cap and allowing you to carry your character over from one game to the next. I think Bedlam's since been shutdown so you can expect that there will never be any more follow-ups. So the level cap of 10 in this game remains.

I quickly picked up Rock Band Blitz, Bastion, and Dante's Inferno last night when I saw the sale.  I've already got the 1k for Dante's but it was a really enjoyable play and I've been missing it lately.  Glad I held off on a used copy and picked it up at deep discount.  Recommended to those who are on the fence about it.

Reviewed DBZ, Capcom Arcade, and Runner2 and have to pass despite the deals in favor of my backlog.  Will probably cave on Ridge Racer and Hell Ya! though.

Anyone thinking about Dust and not vomiting at the DeviantArt graphics might want to go with the current Humble Bundle instead. Guacamelee is in there too if you like Metroidvanias, and they're both under the average price requirement.

Yes and No. Numerically, it's not. Technically, it's a sequel to Assassin's Creed 2 and continues Ezio's story, and in my opinion, almost as good as it. $10 is an amazing price point for the game.
I don't know why you would answer this "Yes and No." Brotherhood is the sequel to AC2, both in release order and storyline. In fact the storyline in Brotherhood literally picks up exactly where AC2 stopped. I agree with your opinion of the game though, it's good.

I just wish they'd put Revelations on sale instead of Brotherhood. Maybe it will be on sale during another day.

Thanks for the Dust info guys. It looks neat. I'm also thinking about Asura's Wrath, D&D Daggerdale, and Motocross Madness. And yay or nays on those?
Asura's Wrath was fun to play. It has an anime style to it (if you're into that). It even plays out similar to an anime show with little sections broken down and "previously" and "next time". Although most battles, especially the boss battles, devolve into QTEs, it's a fun experience. The replayability is there if you want to attain the 'S' ranks, complete with different gauges and grab the achievements.

A word of warning though: Although the game has an "ending", the true ending is paid DLC (thanks Capcom!)

Looks like it's been almost four years to the day since I beat Dante's Inferno. I remember loving it, but can't for the life of me remember if there was any "new game plus" type of mode. Can anyone answer that?

And if you complete all the Animus training sessions (which are fun anyway) with at least a bronze, you unlock the Raiden outfit from Metal Gear Solid which Ezio can wear throughout the entire game.
Shit. I just put 30 hours in to this, wish I would have known that. I played for 1 hour, got bored and dropped it for 18 months, then came back and it was amazing. I have the next 2 games, but I don't want to wear myself out on AC. Just Runner 2 and Dirt 3 for me so far. Dirt 2 was awesome, hope 3 lives up to it.

There was, and you got to keep all your stuff for the harder difficulties.
