This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

So if any of you have been here long enough to remember my stint as OP and the subsequent abandon of the thread, and remember me posting why that happened, I have an update for you.

But ... is it equal to or worse than Amy?
I tried the demo of Amy, (and actually bought Hydrophobia when it went on sale last year). Possibly two of the worst XBLA games I've ever tried to play.

I actually am curious about putting $2.50 in pennies in a microwave, just to see what would happen. I just bought a new microwave, and still have the old one ready. I figure a decent length extension cord, a fire extinguisher on standby, a big enough back yard, and something to shield myself from 250 molten copper/zinc projectiles should suffice for about 2 minutes of fun. I'm betting it'll be 2 more minutes of fun than I had with those 2 games.

Need for Speed devs said they wont be releasing a game till next year, and they had this to say:

"We are already deep in development on our next game and want to make this promise to you: we will listen to you. We’re going to give you the game you’ve been asking for. It will be the game you deserve, but to do that will take us some time."

Man I really hope it's Underground 3.
Yeah as I picked up and am playing Rivals now, I'm considering that their NFS title for 2014 lol. I do have a high hope it's NFS: U 3 but it could possibly be something like World where separate areas resemble different NFS games (say have a race track for Pro Street related stuff, windy mountain roads for Carbon, etc). I think the main thing though is that they're developing for the now current-gen systems and possibly last-gen systems which will take up time. I'm pretty content with this, give them time, love the series and it could use a year off.

The new KI is really good and I'm not into fighters much these days. Definitely worth $15
That sure is tempting. So if KI is on sale, then that's a good sign it's going to be free (the Combo Breaker version) in a few months right as Xbox One's proposed GwG offerings.

you can add me if you have the xb1 version. BR0THER Daz (the O is a zero)
Ahhh, that would explain why the dude who has that gamertag only has 5 friends and 110 gamerscore, it ain't you lol. Added ya.

I have a $15 card, I can't decide if I should grab Transformers FOC or Transformers WFC/something for 10 buck (probably psychonauts, which is my all time favorite and is just begging to be replayed)

Congratulations.....a new gamer arrives :)

Curious, since you have been banned, how come you still come to this thread?
Boredom at work is usually the cause, plus there's a lot of discussion about XBLA games still, of which I've played a ton and like to discuss.

Game doesn't exactly looks "good", but it's a good price.

From the hints they've dropped, they are certainly leaning back towards a grand return of the Underground upgrade-able car structure of the Underground games. Whether that translates to a full-blown Underground 3 with an open flashy street racing California world, I can only hope.

It looks like really slow Pac-Man with squirrels.
That was my thought exactly. I was thinking "wow, that looks like a really blandly updated Pac-Man game with terribly annoying music and a very generic art-style." Though in all fairness NinjaBee has been a good developer, but this one looks meh. It was originally a tablet game and it does have that 'mobile-first' look. Even at $6.49 that seems pricey to me but at least it's a fair starting price point, though I think games like this that were originally Apps should adopt the Playstation Mini pricing scale of pretty much being under $5 with maybe the odd higher price point if they ever were to port something like Deus Ex: The Fall for example (as I could see spending $10 on that). Anyways I'm already entirely bored with this week's sale. On the fence about Sacred Citadel but I have enough brawlers I never play anyways so I think I'll pass.

So Nutjitsu is Pac-Man with ninja squirrels? I'm not getting the appeal, so I'd have to see a great quick look from GB to convince me to get that game and I'm a big Ninja Bee fan.

Just went through and added everyone that responded to my request for Trials Fusion friends.

If anyone wants to add me I'm trying to get the signature card thing working but it refuses to see me so CinnabarSin.

Maybe a little bit of Bomberman as well. Think I saw a bomb power-up on the right. Normally buy their games right away (even their crappy PC Keflings port), but with Super Time Super Fun Time Fun Super (or whatever) coming so soon, I'm getting that instead.

Always wondered what had happened to you during your short spell as the OP but I guess I've missed the explanation. Nvm, congratulations!!

Still no sales that interest me, and I am still struggling to finish Fallout 3. I've finally started to enjoy it, but it is so easy to get distracted exploring all the locations searching for books or unique weapons that I could have finished the main game and DLC quests by now easily. As for my backlog, I just decided to buy 8 games from a pre-owned sale on Game UK which makes me think that I am plain stupid, as I probably already have enough games for the next 5 or 6 years and am currently planning on buying a next gen this Summer for Destiny's Beta. -.-

It doesn't really help that I've been doing the bulk of my gaming on Vita recently. It is so easy to fall in love with the system and, excluding Smart as... that I decided to play because my girlfriend found it interesting, I have yet to play a bad game on the system and I've finished 5 or 6 games since I've bought in February.

Damn a true cheapassgamer. But is the game really that much fun or is it okay?
Peggle 1 is fantastic and I'm sure 2 will be more of the same. Paying $15 for it is kinda crazy especially when it was what $12 for XB1? So they made us wait this many months and THEN jack the price? No no no.

If you are talking about War for Cybertron, yes, it's really a good time. I don't normally play games after I finish them, but this was one of them. Try the demo. If you liked the G1 cartoon, grew up with the toys and those characters, you'll appreciated the game more than those that didn't. Game was made by people who "get" the Transformers and their history. About damn time somebody made a decent TF game.

For reference, It's $11+shipping for a used copy on Amazon and $19.99 used on Gamestop.

For reference, It's $11+shipping for a used copy on Amazon and $19.99 used on Gamestop.
So for someone who did NOT watch the cartoons growing up, does this game just hold blowie uppie super fun time appeal?

I'm getting Pool Nation at that price, regardless.

I've never been a big fan of Transformers, and I really liked WFC. It's a really solid TPS with a cool robot/vehicle switching mechanic that's a lot faster than most TPS (eg. no cover system), and even if you have no nostalgia for the IP there's something inherently awesome about blowing giant robots up with big ass rockets while flying through space to save the planet (maybe I'm getting too specific).

Anywho, highly recommend it if you enjoy TPS regardless of how you feel about Transformers on the whole. I'll definitely be picking up FoC whenever it reaches a similar price.

Very good price. Probably would be $10 on 360. The video looks not so good though. I was hoping for something better from NinjaBee. Maybe it won't be as bad (boring) as the video shows.
100% agreed. The Keflings games are pure awesomeness. This looks like a pure snoozefest, though it's probably best not to judge until it's released.

I already Frisky'd you on that observation.
:wall:

Peggle 1 is fantastic and I'm sure 2 will be more of the same. Paying $15 for it is kinda crazy especially when it was what $12 for XB1? So they made us wait this many months and THEN jack the price? No no no.
Are games even allowed to be $12 on 360? XBLA has weird pricing that luckily Is removed on X1 (or at least relaxed a bit). I thought I paid $15 for it, but just double checked my receipt and it was only $12 (worth it even at $15 when I didn't have many X1 games). Gameplay is similar to Peggle 1. Graphics are greatly improved. They would make a lot of people happy if the DLC was added to 360 version for no extra cost to make up for the higher price.

Just went through and added everyone that responded to my request for Trials Fusion friends.

If anyone wants to add me I'm trying to get the signature card thing working but it refuses to see me so CinnabarSin.
You might be having problems getting your sig card working because your profile on XBox blocks your gameplay activity.

Peggle 2 for X360 is out on the European marketplace at least, currently not seeing it on the US one. It's 9.99 Euros so there's good chances it'll be 9.99 Dollars as well. It's 884,90 MB and there's currently no trace of DLCs (not sure if the DLC is included in the game or not). Enjoy!

I temporarily retract my endorsement of Warface.  The ridiculously OP pistol they have on sale in the store right now ruins pistol matches and some regular matches.

Once it's off sale and expires, it'll be a lot better.

Ugh. I tried it out when it was in beta and didn't like it at all. So easy to spawn trap the other team. I'm lucky I tried the closed beta before they had achievements cuz I would've been pissed if I accidentally unlocked an achievement and had to keep that game in my game history.

I know, people say the game is much better now. I don't believe them. Not drinking that koolaid.

Peggle 2 is awesome....blurry yeti ass awesome :)
Word, the game's humor and artstyle cracks me up. It looks bloody good, it perhaps has even more fun value than the previous ones, and there seems to be an insane amount of content between the MANY levels of the campaign, all the extra objectives for them, all the challenges, the multiplayet, the leaderboards... lovely stuff.

Everything's better with Peggle.

It actually is a lot better now that they added spawn shield time.

That OP pistol is just prone to abuse
