  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

I LOVED Forza Horizon. I put a shit ton of hours into it when Wal Mart had it for $15 a few years back on BF. Bought it digitally when it went on cheap sale a while back. Great game to just jump into once in a while a race a bunch of races...

 
Man, with the recent PSN 'flash sale' of the Mass Effect stuff I was really hoping they would follow up on here with a sale this week. Argh, waiting another week to see it looks like.

The point of that site is for X1 feedback. They're not going to add anything significant to the 360.

To appease 360 fans. If they haven't added external hard drive support by now, I'm not sure why anyone thinks they will now. It's not like this has magically become a wanted feature. They're focused on X1 now. Any updates to the 360 will be marginal at best.
 
YEah I can see the 360 section mainly being a PR move, but it would be wonderful to get external storage support of hard drives for the 360. These free GWG is making my hard drive fill up fast and I'd like to have everything set aside when Live goes down and my hard drive dies.

Yeah I don't think you'll get all the special features the Xbox One gets but it's def gotta be a good pool for feedback. I just left one for the option to uninstall games and apps via date last used like in Windows. I know I haven't used a ton of old stuff, would get to them faster so I could eliminate them and free up some space.

I agree it's a great game. I had zero issues with achievements being glitchy.
 
So... just watched the trailer for Ori and the Blind Forest. 

I really want an XB1 now. Like... I'm almost embarrassed by how much that 2-minute clip sold me on the console.

It reminded me a lot of Outland, which also had just a gorgeous art style.

Cuphead too, holy shit that game is on my radar.

Yeah, Cuphead looks insanely good. A lot of people complain that too many indie games stole the scene, which may be true, there may not have been that many triple-A announcements (one that weren't leaked already anyway). But man, Inside? Cuphead? Ori and the Blind Forest? I'll admit I'm getting tired of this "I'll make an artistic and deep indie platformer 'cause I like Limbo" trend of these past years, but some of the games presented at E3 look so great and unique. Cuphead's one of the most impressive platformers I've ever seen from the little gameplay we got.

If you're in the US, around Tuesday morning. I'd get it by Monday just to be safe, or when the new sales appear on Monday night (since there's around a dozen or so hours while the sales overlap).

 
Ah ok, was afraid of it going off sale before I can get to GS, but looks like I'll be able to get the points on the weekend then to buy it. Completely broke till Friday...lol.

Love the android version, but it makes my tablet run hot, looking forward to being able to play it for hours without fear of burning up my system...lol.

Really want to try Horizon, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's going to be GwG to help promote Horizon 2, but $10 seems like a great price..

I think I had this same advice given to me when I waffled on this game.

I am not a big fan of racing games. (Trials being the personal exception). I play them every now and then but I don't really dedicate a lot of time to them. Forza Horizon completely changed that. I have never played a more engaging single player racing game in my entire life. $10 is a stunning price for this game. Even if it's going to be GwG in a few months, $10 now is not a big deal at all, because this game is completely worth it.

 
Dirt Showdown just dropped to $19.99, not sure if anyone cares, but perhaps it will mean more drops to follow this week.  Lego Marvel...I'm looking in your direction.

Not that it matters, but I think Cuphead is more of a boss mode action game than a platformer. But it still looks visually awesome. I really hope it's not an Xbox One console exclusive. I doubt it is but ya never know. Ori is, but I'm not all that interested in that game. Looks a lot like other games we've already seen, like a mix of Dust, Outland, and Undergarden.

I have never played a more engaging single player racing game in my entire life. $10 is a stunning price for this game. Agreed. I couldn't get into the base Forza games. Just too slow, grinding, and slightly obtuse. Forza Horizon is nothing like that. It's a great and absorbing game. I had tons of fun with it.

 
As folks mentioned before platformers kicked major ass with XB1 on E3.  ORI is absolutely gorgeous, it kinda falls into category of Outland and Child of Light with art style.  It has been a long time since I wanted to pay full price for the game caz I'm soooo cheap, but I would buy ORI first time it's out.  Shit it was only few min trailer and I'm already sold on it.

Also 'Inside" from the creators of Limbo has my attention.

The other major reason to acquire XB1 is the Halo Collection.  fucking Halo 2!!! I applaud so hard that my palms hurt hearing the announcement.  Yes and it gets nice makeover and original multilayer.

ORI and Halo 2 and Halo 5 - major anticipation.  Other than that, the rest of the things on XB1 E3 were :whistle2:|"ahh ok..."

I understand your prospective of reality, but

There are things one instantly likes, what they call 'love at first sight'. You can't explain it, you just like it. It doesn't happen to me very often so I like to cherish that.

 
Ori looks like something Hayao Miyazaki would work on so it automatically grabbed my attention.

My top three games from the conference were Sunset Overdrive, Inside, and Project Spark. Last year's demo of Spark bored me but this year's demonstration surprised me. I'm curious to see what kind of FPS games will come out of that.

This was their best E3 conference; worst one I saw was the introduction of Kinectimals.

I was able to get to the page but then saw I already had it because Best Buy still gives out codes for it when you buy the game from them.

Has anyone bought it from this sale (or recently) and had that problem? I see the problem on Google but most recent posts seem to be July last year. Nothing if can see about it it was fixed at some point or people just lost interest. Would be really shitty if they were knowingly selling a broken game still.

I bought Horizon last time it was on sale and I never had a problem playing it.  Maybe if you have a save file from the disc it causes a problem?  I remember hearing about it.  I also remember hearing that clearing your cache seemed to help.

I bought it in September and downloaded it on my Slim (or whatever the hell its called) and had zero issues with it from the time I got it until the time I deleted it off my hard drive a couple weeks ago.

Then at some point in between there I tried to download it on my other, old model Xbox and got the disc unreadable thing each time I tried to load it up and after I tried redownloading it. Granted, I didn't clean my cache to see if it would make it work, so maybe that'd do it.

If you have a retail copy online pass installed for horizon, delete that since it causes problems with the digital versions online pass. This was a problem a while back and don't know if it was ever fixed but that got mine working a few months back.


Also don't know if this has been posted here yet buy Double Fines Massive Chalice will be a xb1 console exclusive coming out in early 2015

Same here. I just bought the game (literally half hour ago) and after seeing the posts here I looked online on their support pages and it seems that a license transfer and redownload is necessary to fix it. I'm hoping it's been fixed since the last post I could find was from November of last year.
