  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Somebody's getting laid tonight: my wallet. I'm buying TWD S2 pass for sure. Maybe Darksiders 2, Portal 2 or Stuntman. I'm waiting on the daily deals mostly.

Spartan Assault is a twin stick shooter, like Geometry Wars or Assault Heroes. Halo Wars was the RTS. Spartan Assault is Meh overall but if you're a Halo fan you might like the story bits.

Darksiders 2 was a lot of fun. The landscapes are awesome and gorgeous. Action is fun, story is cool. Worth it.

I'm waiting on most of the games that are on sale until the 14th. Its the daily sales I'm interested in. Tomorrows don't interest me, but hoping for some gems hidden within the week.

A few are in my sights already though. SFxTKN is happening tonight.

So I already have most of the games I'd like: Skyrim, Dishonored, Portal 2, MGS:GZ, Witcher 2, Fallout 3, New Vegas, DMC4, Deus Ex, Gears 3 and Walking Dead. Are any of the others must haves? I'm definitely getting trials evo, maybe fusion but I'm not not sure. I also just grabbed spartan assault.

Never heard of stuntman and heard mixed things about skate 2. Thoughts, opinions on either of those? Any of the others?

In all seriousness though, if you have Ep 1 of Walking Dead: S2, go for that cheap pass. I'd also recommend Portal 2 if you don't have a PC that can properly run it (as I see someone added me on Steam recently :p) or don't plan on a lot of couch co-op, as the PC version is preferable due to the community support it gets. Darksiders 2 is good on either platform, so it's up to you and your preferences, but that's another game I suggest getting.

I've heard of Stuntman but never played it, so I can't necessarily recommend it, but it's not on PC and I hear good things.

Good list of games but the only thing really tempting me is Portal 2.  I beat it a while back but traded it in and disc copies are still pretty high.  The Witcher 2 is a good price at $10 but I just rebought it from BB for $16 with GCU and I prefer having that on disc.  Not even sure what else I could pick up...

 
As cheesy as it his sounds, I'd really love for Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper to go on sale this week. I don't know why, but I really want to play it, I just can't justify $20. Fingers crossed.

OMG, i was away since morning and i enter the website and watch 123 notifications so i thought WTF??... then i thought some glitchy free games went live or some sort of free or really cheap promo i missed. After checking all notifications were from this thread, i needed to know what was going on. Well it was Date Night... and it seems my date were twins.

 
Wow major Nelson's blog wording is edited horribly, at least on mobile. So sorry but are the first six referring to the ultimate games sale (even though it randomly says in bold after TWD2 season pass) that will be changed out daily and the rest listed after are just daily deals that last a week? I didn't know if they put in gold deals this week or are only doing the normal weekly and the ultimate sale...
 
Something I've learned the hard way, wait until the last day of the sale to get any weeklong deals or you will end of being 2 spacebucks shy of something you have been holding out for.

Darksiders II was a really great game. So if anyone was thinking about getting it, I'd highly recommend it. I had lots of fun playing it. Really improved on the first one. Shame that there probably won't be a third and fourth one to round out all of the Horsemen of the Acocalypse.

Damn I wish I knew this compilation existed before I bought them all long ago. Still, great set of games for ridiculous over the top first person shooting.

Fallout 3 is weird for me. I'll like the game for a while, get stuck and delete it. Then I'm told to keep trying it and I like it again. Then I'll get stuck and delete it. The process will happen again if I can get some free space on my hard drive. Maybe I'll delete the MGS Collection and Peacemaker to make room for it. Not sure if I should get New Vegas since I already have it on disc.

Great deal on Gears of War 3. Not as good as 2, but better than 1 (haven't played Judgement yet). I love how the game includes puzzle solving mechanics to defeat enemies - making it more than just a mindless shooter.

Soooo tempted to buy Ducktales. I was thinking of waiting to buy it on Wii U if I ever got the console (I still have the NES game) but $5 is quite a great price.

Looks like I own everything I want to get except for Walking Dead Season 2's Season Pass. I didn't catch what the price was though.

When does the "daily game deal" start?

 
The game got picked up after thq went down. Be on the lookout for the reveal of the new darksiders within the next month or two.

I kinda wanna get Silent Hill HD Collection.  I've seen you guys mentioned about bugs and glitches that title has.  I mean is it really that bad? After all this time couldn't they come up with fixes and patches?

Just because you want to get it...doesn't mean that it is magically patched. Fact is, it hasn't been...probably wont. But keep asking. Someone might lie to you.
 
World Cup is very tempting at $24. It's the cheapest I've ever seen although I may wait until the end of the sale to decide. 

P.S. Have the sales started already? I'm not really interested in Fallout 3 but the price shows up as $14.99. Either it hasn't gone on sale yet or this is yet another one of those games with a ridiculously high price.

I don't think it's been marked down yet, there's still a few games that haven't been marked down yet, atleast on the website.

 
thanks guys for the info, way to many reports on glitching with SH:HD. I played the hell out of SH 2,3 on PS2 back in the day.  I'll get other games like Duckies and Witches and maybe Rayne.

I'm with you on World Cup!

Fallout 3 is still showing 14.99, but New Vegas is $5 for me.

I jumped on SFxTKN and TWD2 Season pass. Now I wait..

Most stuff is live on the console store but I haven't checked everything and it was updating a game here and there.

I'm going to be downloading for the rest of this sale. Started buying when Skate 2 flipped over and I've only gotten through like 9GB.
