  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we got the word on the new sale items just as early in the following days as we did today?  It'd certainly help folks plan out their purchases.  I'm not holding my breath at all on this... Just wishful thinking.

That usually ends up happening, it has in pretty much all the big sales, where the daily deals popped up before the next day. I just wish there was a way to find out all the daily deals.

 
Was gonna pick up stuntman ignition but bought it for a dollar on the PSN flash sale on ps2 way back when. No reason to get the 360 version when I haven't even started the other one.
 
Sweet I might finally get something after months of a dry spell. I hope we don't get crap days where there is only one thing on sale like basketball Jewellery or Call of Duty Ghosts.
Man with games with gold now I'm so wary of getting any games. Here's hoping there is a bunch of DLC on sale.

You know, I do vaguely recall that happening before. I just hope that it is the case going forward. I'm sure there will be a couple of games I'm on the fence about during this sale.

It got a price drop on PC semi-recently, so it's probably a price drop.

And they were too dumb/cheap to have Bluepoint reverse-engineer the actual games (like they did with the GoW HD Collection). You don't need the source-code for HD remakes. :wall:

I'm sorry to ask this guys but i'm not near my console and probably won't have enough time to play trials for daily deals. Any help on this, don't own or played any of the serious sam games, and don't have access to that bundle, so are all of them FPS, and if not which ones aren't? and are they good enough to buy at that price? 

Regarding TWD, just want to make sure all those individual episodes are from season 1 ? Even the "400 days" episode ?

And last, is Bloodrayne worth it ? 

Again, i would apreciate some advice since i'll be doing some blind buying because of time issues and don't want to miss those daily deals.

So far Skate 2, Witcher 2. Portal 2, Gears of War 2, and Trials Evolution are all confirmed for upcoming free GwG months.

 
So unless my eyes deceive me, I think TWD S2 pass is on sale now. It was 15 originally right? Cause if not, then 3.75 for the season pass is going to be fucking awesome.

Shows $7.49, which is 50% off $15, but also looks like you have to have Ep1 separately.

400 Days is part of season one for achievement purposes, but story wise it isn't connected.

If Stuntman Ignition is anything like the first game, you'll have to perform tons of stunts in a car, following instructions precisely and making few or no mistakes. If you screw up, you get to do it all over again! (I HATE these kinds of games.)

I played the demo and I just wasn't feelin' it. I love auto/racing games as 95% of my games are racing type, but I just couldn't get into this one.

TWD episodes for sale are all from Season 1. The Season Pass for TWD Season 2 is also for sale, minus the first episode. I don't think the individual episodes from Season 2 are on sale.

400 Days is somehow (possibly) tied into Season 1. It's been a while since I have played it, but I do know it's part of Season 1.

I haven't started Season 2 yet (waiting for a $5 Vita sale) but my understanding is that there was supposed to be some connection between it and Season 2. There was a little bit of connection to Season 1 if I remember right but it was just small references.

 
So far, I've picked up KOF XIII, Ducktales Remastered, and Serious Sam: TFE. The rest of the Serious Sam trilogy looks really tempting at ~3.50 (tax included) a piece. I might decided to purchase Fight Night Champion. Speaking of which, is it any good? The whole "Gritty Reboot" theme had initially turned me off from buying this game when it first came out, but I'm willing to give it a shot for ~5.00. Also, I can't choose between pulling the trigger on either Dishonored, Skyrim, The Witcher 2, or Street Fighter X Tekken. Personally, the only issues I'd have with buying Skyrim or The Witcher 2 is that I'm one of those people that has to play a game (specifically RPGs) from the beginning (meaning the first title) and work my way up to playing the rest of the games in a series in order to better understand it and not get lost with the story. Would I be lost if I decide to jump in and play either one of those two titles?

The Bloodrayne arcade game is said to be brutal from the mid-point on (which seems to be equally split amongst players/critics that it is due to clunky controls, or it's all a testament to how good of a player you are, aka it's "fair" in its brutality) -- that's what I got from quick metacritic research. I've been waiting for it to hit this price so I'll be picking it up, regardless of the warning.

TWD "400 Days" was the extra-ep for Season 1 that came out after the official season. It's not included in the Season Pass. It plays different than the other eps in that each chapter is played from a different survivor(s)'s perspective and culminate in a cliffhanger leading into Season 2--but you get to choose which chapters to play in what order, and of course making different decisions changes some of the minor plot points and dialogue.

Skate 2 was one of the first games I was excited to purposely dive into my backlog vault (think Scrooge McDuck) and start ripping into. Play the demo and you'll get a very good idea of he mechanics. I got stuck progressing through the storyline challenges a few hours in when they start asking you to "own" certain skate areas (like monuments) and without being able to master chaining tricks together to net the thousands of points needed I gave up until Skate 3....

No, you wouldn't be lost at all in playing Skyrim. It takes place, I think, like 200 years after Oblivion.

Dunno about Witcher 2. I downloaded it and quit right after the initial training. Couldn't stand the confusing control scheme.

Thanks for the info, it looks like my wallet will hit the ICU way before this Ultimate Games Sale even finish.

 
So, I've already bought Dishonored & Fallout NV tonight. Tomorrow I will head to GS and buy $15 in MS credit (the GS treasurehunt occurs when I'm asleep and requires FB, which I don't use, so no free $5 codes for me) in case anything pops up during the daily sales (going to stick to $6 and under). If nothing great shows up during the week I'll pick up Gears 3 on the last day, then spend the rest on the Dishonored DLC's. That's the gameplan anyway.

Damn lots of people all up on my wallet (post). Sorry guys. We're in an exclusive relationship. I mean unless it's a Steam sale, and I'm feeling particularly giving, then I'm willing to share. In those cases sometimes we expand into a threesome or foursome orgy (pack).

I just picked up TWD S2 pass just because I got episode 1 for super cheap. In the future I may go even cheaper on TellTale's games and rent the inevitable retail disc from RedBox for a night or two.

In a non-cheapass move I bought Portal 2 on PS3 at launch and it came with a PC copy, but I never used the code. I bought the Valve pack though so I do own it on Steam. My PC sucks though so I doubt I could run it.

I haven't touched the original Darksiders even though I have it on GonD. Might as well finish up the collection, right?

Stuntman is a bitch. At least the original was. It's the only game where I've ever thrown my controller. And it was more like I was shaking my PS2 controller in frustration and it slipped out in a downward motion and hit the side of my bed frame and chipped a tiny piece. Never again. And shoutout to whoever pointed out that Ignition was part of the PSN Flash sale. I picked that up so I won't bother on double dipping.

There is a small reference (achievement for finding it). I haven't played season 2 yet, so maybe the stories are more connected than I thought.

Ah, okay. Maybe you could sell the code to someone? Good luck finding a buyer though, been trying to find someone to buy my Portal 2 Steam gift for $5 for ages now. :wall:

And yeah, just grab DS2 on 360 if your PC sucks, not really missing out on much otherwise.

One of the only games to make me throw my controller was either MK2 or UMK3 in the Mortal Kombat Kollection on 360. Threw it at my couch so hard it bounced up and hit the ceiling. The throw also chipped my controller. :p
