This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

There is a small reference (achievement for finding it). I haven't played season 2 yet, so maybe the stories are more connected than I thought.
Like I said I haven't either and when I was looking into it Season 2 was either about to start or Episode 1 had just come out. Was trying to figure out how I wanted my final save final to work out and the idea was that your choices that led to how 400 days concluded would have a minor effect (like all your descisions) on the specifics of Season 2 but I never looked into it past that.

Any opinions on the turtles game? Played the demo but would prefer some full game opinions.
holy shit, I forgot I bought this game last year for cheap when it was on sale and its been sitting in my backlog ever since. The shit just faded into oblivion LOL. I suppose I could jump online and get some four player co-op going, if the game allows it. Too bad its just not high on my list of backlog priorities.

Re Ducktales, in case it affects anyone's purchase, it looks like the xbla version has 400 gamerscore whereas the retail has 1000.

I'm on the fence with TMNT and Ground Zeroes.  Pac-man museum looks interesting but it will likely go lower someday and I can wait.  Lots of good games I already have on that list so here's hoping for some more good ones in the daily sales.

DLC would be nice too.  I've almost given up on Pigsy's Perfect 10 ever going on sale, and would jump at a discounted Ranger Mode for Metro Last Light, or season's pass for Bioshock Infinite, or a couple dozen other DLC packs.

For that price it's still tempting. I wonder if the co-op is any good. You'd think for a turtles game, it'd be an awesome 4 player couch co-op.
How many Turtles games have been repugnant and utterly terrible since those amazing arcade games though? Way more than the number of good ones for certain. Even the remakes of those classic brawlers were pretty poor.

Do what you will with the above but those are three sources I tend to agree with on game reviews. Personally, I think I can find better looking things in this sale to spend my money on.

Thank you so much for posting that. I didn't even know, definitely on the hunt for cheap retail copy.

jesus....the gameplay and animations look so heavy. There's no fluidity to the combat at all. This game might stay in the backlog forever. =-/

If I couldn't get into Oblivion, did Skyrim improve upon it or does it play the same just with better graphics or something?

I'm with the other CAGer hoping for ME3 DLC Citadel cmon

Would grab the TWD2SP but then EP1 is not free damn. Will wait the week to see what they do. I know I missed it when EP1 was $.99.

For people considering Fifa WC2014 I would wait for $10. After the WC, the game has pretty much no value since the event is over. WC2010 dropped to $10 at BB I remember.

I guess it depends on what you didn't like about it because it's one of those things where it manages to be better in so many ways while still being the same.

My list is looking like

Daily:

KOF XIII

Weekly:

SFXT

DMC4

Fight Night Champion

and I want one of the Trials

which is better? Evolution or Fusion? I see Fusion costs more so its the newest one right?

Fusion is the newest and it is much better imo. While Evolution may be cheaper, I'd still go with Fusion

Fusion is the newer one. Ultimately they are the same games really. Both awesome but very little difference. There are some things like Evolution has online mutliplayer and Fusion has a trick system but the meat of the game is the same. I'd say Evolution has more memorable tracks. If you have any friends who play you should get whatever game they play. That's where all the fun of Trials comes in, competing with people on your friends list.

I wonder how many ppl would upgrade to Xbox ones if they programmed backwards compatibility and they could bring forward there big old digital collection.

They've said they may yet find a way to make that happen. I think it's just to stoke the fires of prospective buyers, but I suppose it could happen. The system architecture is so different, I wouldn't hold out hope for it.

It'd be very nice, but still wouldn't buy one. If they got rid of all the video/tv crap and allowed me to stream video directly from my pc like I can with the 360, and allowed me to hook it up to my current non-hdmi hdtv, then maybe. Having to replace my fully functioning current tv totally kills my wanting either a one or ps4.

Yeah I doubt the Xbone is powerful enough to just brute force the emulation in a way that wouldn't piss everyone off. One of those things where if you don't do it perfect better to not do it at all. I'm sure if PSNow is a hit they'll unveil something like that though.

that would get me more interested in the system by 90%. i have hundreds of digital games and only a 60gb HDD and multiple 32gb flash drives. i still need to get more flash drives and upgrade my HDD to have everything d/led for the eventual x360 marketplace shutdown.

but if they can just transfer everything over that would be so beyond helpful, with their whole external storage features only coming to X1.

So, Sensible World of Soccer is not on sale after all? Ah well... that feeling having bing msp from over 2 years + gamestop credit and not having anything to buy lol.

Got BloodRayne and that's all for now.

Personally I would in a heartbeat, I just switched to Wii U around Mario Kart Time then Bought a 320Gb HD for my Slim and left it to collect dust so far but If Xbox One was backwards from the start, I would of been a Day 1 supporter....But NOW I'm waiting on Halo and even then that's just a maybe

Yeah I doubt the Xbone is powerful enough to just brute force the emulation in a way that wouldn't piss everyone off. One of those things where if you don't do it perfect better to not do it at all. I'm sure if PSNow is a hit they'll unveil something like that though.
I would definitely hasten my ability to get an X1 at least ten-fold, if I could play my 360 games on the X1. Instead of emulation, couldn't Microsoft just put a 360 in the X1 case a la the Wii/original PS3? The parts to make an extremely slim 360 can't be too pricey now.

If Stuntman Ignition is anything like the first game, you'll have to perform tons of stunts in a car, following instructions precisely and making few or no mistakes. If you screw up, you get to do it all over again! (I HATE these kinds of games.)
Cool thanks. You saved me some cash. But even more importantly at this point, you saved me about 6GB of space!

Wait, MGS Ground Zeroes is 19,99€ ON SALE? I thought that was the base price... wow
Rest easy, it's down to $9.99 now.

Also, for those more experienced in MGS, is this a decent entry point into the series or is it too late for me to understand what the hell is going on?
