  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Just checked --none of my "old" phones or tablets are supported. So bear that in mind, anyone thinking of trying this. Your "old" devices will have to be fairly new. Still need Android 4.0 or above. Certainly means I'm out...

that's what I had thought but you can get it to work with older devices by using 1mobile or getjar. that's what I did with a $40 visualland 2.1 tablet and a samsung transform also running 2.1.

Edit: this thread probably isn't the ideal place to discuss it seeing as how it's unrelated to the main topic other than that it's a way to get xbox credit. pm me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns so we don't get the thread off subject.

Speaking of which, $15 is just the right price point for my desire for nostalgia to overtake my desire to not spend money.

Oh noes! Are you telling me that the save files are inside the first episode only that launched the other dlc eps? I'm pretty sure I deleted the others and only kept the 5th ep because I assumed it would keep the saves and make more storage room on the harddrive.

I didn't see any save files separate from the eps themselves listed in the storage that were several kbs in size or anything. Guess I'm playing them again. Unless the crossover choices aren't that important...
 
Since today's deals don't really do anything for me I have decided to purchase TMNT Out of the Shadows at the last minute.
Hopefully it doesn't completely suck and for $5 why not give it a try.

 
Sorry if this is a silly question but i have a disc version of halo 4 that i already installed in my xbox but my disc drive is busted,

if i buy the game do i delete the original disc install and it installs all over again or do i just leave it?

I had the GWG Gears of War installed on my hard drive as well as the disk copy.

I had it installed two times, once for the digital version and one for the disk version. I wound up deleting the disk one and keeping the digital version for the time being.

It reinstalls entirely and takes up twice the space. I would delete the disc install and then download the GonD version so you won't be confused as to which one you should delete afterwards.

That Perks TV sounds good but I'm wary of downloading any money app in general since there's many scams out there.

Just to be clear: This Banjo bundle is digital only and does not have a disc version, right?

Yeah, both games have been digital-only aside from the original N64 releases.

It's a Bioware game, so it's to be expected.

The non-item DLC with the exception of Legacy have only been on sale once back in January of 2013. Legacy has been on sale twice, in Jan. 2012 and Jan. 2013. The item DLC has never been on sale.

There's only three DLCs of substance at least (well, there's the Black Emporium too, but that's free).

 
I am debating ducktales. I had the game when it was originally released, and I am thinking 5 bucks is ok deal. I have such a backlog I figure I could wait to see if it drops a little lower. 400 days may be the only other title I pick up. Anyone have feedback on those two titles?

It's not one of the goblins from Wreckateer.

I am debating the Banjo bundle, but $7.50 for each game is just too much for essentially the same old games with no improvements. When you compare it to Ducktales which is only $5 and is a total remake, it makes it even less inciting of a deal. The bundle should've been $10 at the most.

That "limited time" part is what I'd like confirmation on. Is it only going to be $15 today? How long is it available? Stuff like that.

I'm seriously surprised there was no "Coming to Xbox Marketplace" post this week, considering the last episode of Wolf Among Us just dropped, and there's been no announcement of this bundle whatsoever by Microsoft, not even over Twitter.

Yeah, clarity would be nice but I would take the approach with it that if you want it to buy it and assume it's going to be gone sooner than later. Didn't they offer something like this before and that was the case?

I don't want to stop getting notifications. For some reason it was acting all weird and not showing when someone posted. It's working now, it just randomly stopped for like 15 minutes

 
I wouldn't be surprised to see the banjo bundle go on sale, more than likely in December. Also thanks to those who voiced their opinions on blackgate. Ill wait for it to hit $5 or less.

Previous bundles lasted only a couple of weeks before they got delisted. I seriously doubt this bundle would make it to December.

I wonder if the Banjo bundle just unlocks the two arcade versions or if this is a completely different download with a seperate option to choose which game you want to play?

It unlocks both games individually. The bundle is just a way to make a purchase that's all.

Nothing in my inbox or junk mail folder. Gonna wait for Blackgate to get discounted deeper and I have too many RPGs/games as it is in my backlog to justify buying Dragon Age 2. Lost Odyssey, Kingdoms of Amular, The Witcher 2, etc. Plus I'd want the dlc w/achievements for DA2 AND I haven't even played DA1 yet.

Best to hold onto my precious XBL credit for better daily deals. Logic must prevail over the cheapass in me who wants to add to the eternal backlog.

 
I already own the first Banjo game, so the bundle holds no added value for me (same price as just buying the second game). Wish I could at least buy the bundle and gift the first game to someone.
