  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

So many games I want to buy in this sale. I've managed to hold off until today.

I think I'm finally going to give in and get Kingdoms of Amalur. I've wanted it for a while and passed on multiple sales hoping the used price would drop.

I can't decide on Peggle 2 or Devil May Cry 4.

I loved the previous Peggle games (and the demo for this one) but I know it will eventually come out on PC and probably be on sale for $5 by then.

As for Devil May Cry 4, well, I have mixed feelings on the demo. DMC 1 and 3 are two of my favorite games, though. However, now that I'm used to the controls for the latest DMC game everything in DMC 4 feels so wrong and weird. And I'm wondering if needing to play through it twice is going to be boring, even if it's not the same character each time. Nero isn't as exciting to me as Vergil was.

 
Seems like the best day for deals since Monday, but I'm passing on any purchases. $20 is the most I would spend on GTA and I still have yet to play GTA IV.   Ninja Gaiden 2's 6 GB filesize is too much for my drive to handle at the moment. 

So far I only bought Halo: Spartan Assault and I'm keeping an eye on Walking Dead Season 2, Pac Man Museum, and Ducktales.

BTW, I'm playing through Killzone 1 and this is no "Halo Killer".  The graphics are fuzzy (for an HD remake, that's sad) and some of the levels can be beaten in under 3 minutes. The levels are designed to make you think you can jump over obstacles, except for one problem: There is no jump button.  Yeah Timesplitters doesn't have one either, but the game is designed so well that you don't need to think about jumping.

I also played some Halo 2. This is MUCH better than the first game. Story from the Covenant side is much appreciated, riding a tank is loads of fun, and I love how you can wield two weapons at once. The variety in levels changed quickly and I'm dying a lot since I'm playing on Normal instead of Easy; I bet I would still like it more if I played on Easy.  It's too bad the multiplayer doesn't work, it being an original XBox game and all.  

 
Lately I go on PSN for game demos and the occasional 99 cent movie rental deal. As a matter of fact, they have The Hunger Games: Catching for 99 cents right now. Finished downloading it last night.

If XBL had similar offers on movies, I'd be very interested.

 
Ok so I checked the dashboard and South Park is part or tomorrow's daily deals. It's 60€ anyway so unless it's 60% off it's not getting on my backlog.

If DMC1&3 are your favorites than controls is the DMC4 is just the same, they use the same engine. I really enjoyed DMC4 both Nero and Dante playthroughs, although becoming skillful with combos and timing takes some effort. Now new DMC is deviation from the previous titles, developers at Ninja Theory enhanced almost everything in DMC and made it a new game: action is fast, crazy environment, new style on characters. DMC1 on PS2 will always be my favorite game in the series, but I really do like the new improvements in latest DMC.

Word on DMC4 achivements, 'King of the Palace' chivo is such a pain in the ass!!! It will def. test your skills.

 
Koa was one of my favorite games that year it came out. I enjoyed its dlcs too. Easy to do 1000/1000 plus the dlcs are easy to do too for those who cares about the achievements.

I hope saturday and Sunday daily deals are the knockouts of the week.

Per XBLDB, they've been on sale several times over the past few years so hopefully at some point later this year they will be half off again.

So I was looking at my Purchase History and under Game Add-ons there's a bunch of Unknown Titles. When I put them on the Download Queue, it says it's no longer available and I can't download from my 360 too.   The dates that I downloaded them are:

I started KOA 2 years ago and got distracted and never went back to it (stupid famestar). I wouldn't say it's an easy 1000 since the game is so long and you have to complete so many quests. Plus, whenever I finish it I will have to do a second playthrough because I didn't play the game on the hardest difficulty. Great game though.

True. It just is easy because of chakras (circular weapon) and do crowd control all the way. Try that..even on hard.

Everyone in the console wars has the memory of a goldfish. Sony did a couple things right at e3 last year (basically got the advantage of going after MS and could capitalize on what people didn't want), but they tend to forget that the PS3 had an official price drop within a year (not just removing an accessory, a bonafide $100 drop or $200 drop with no BC), took several years to even start picking up any stride, and then were hacked for a month and left people in the dark.

MS might have had its slip ups, but they listen to their community more than Sony or Nintendo ever have. They are constantly wanting feedback to see what they can do better and are putting in stuff people want now.

Skate 2's online servers have been close to dead for years and this sale helped fill the servers so many new people have a chance to start the online grind for the achievements (Getting Legend Status in Ranked and all Freeskate Challenges) if you are an achievement whore and you have put this off because of dead servers, now is your chance to pick it up!

I want to get rid of my disc but idk if I should or not w/o knowing what I'm in for completely

There isn't much difference in graphics and frame rate except some pop-in, and that's not even bad.

I would say close to identical.

Thanks buds. I knew I asked at the right place. Now I'm trying to see if I could view Xbox One add-on purchases on the website and on the system itself, can't find it yet though. I do remember getting a free Watch_Dogs add-on and redeemed on the website but I can't find it on the console yet. Navigating on the One is kinda tricky.

Yup, and also come Monday we have the usual weekly deals reset, so LOTS more to come. It's easy to jump on early deals and miss out on some of the nicer stuff they hold for the end, but it's a risk one must weigh with each purchase.

Give me a break. None of those companies care about you. If Microsoft "listened to their community", they wouldn't have shoehorned Kinect in with Xbox Ones, right? They wouldn't have had to screw over early adopters - their most hardcore fans - by dropping the price just five months after launch. All those companies would bend you over the counter if it helped their bottom line.

FACTS: Can't discuss.

OPINION: Listening? Yeah, only for their own good. Sony has been listening for years and they are only just getting better. Nintendo? Can't comment as I dont cosume anything from them.

If I buy oblivion, fallout 3, and new vegas, can i get all their goty editions and download the dlc from that? I've heard and read conflicting reports
