  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Darksiders 2 is really, really fun. I'm not far along in it, but so far it's improved on the first one in every way. And I enjoyed the first one.
 
anyone thinking about split second should go get it. It was one of my favorite game to 1000/1000. Also great split screen racing time if you have friends over. To those that are hoping burnout paradise goes on sale, count me in. Split second and burnout paradise are two of my favorite racing games on 360.

I'm considering Burnout 3 Takedown. I remember having a blast with it on my old xbox. I've played Paradise but I don't remember it being quite as fun as the Burnouts on the old system.

I was considering Split Second after trying the demo, which was fun, but some reviews say it gets really repetative really fast and theres very little car customization other than changing colors.
 
I remember when Split/Second came out with Blur. Tried'em both... Split/Second has some pretty interesting content, but the reviews are correct... it gets repetitive rather quickly. Blur, on the other hand, is one of the best arcade racers I've played since Super Mario Kart.

Was thinking about Peggle 2 but I have to catch a plane now and it's still not on sale. Oh well guess they helped me make a decision :)
 
I picked up Kingdoms of Amalur, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Walking Dead Season 2 Season Pass, and Deus Ex. I'm going to grab Peggle 2 if the price ever drops. Might also grab Skate 2.

 
I want Bioshock Infinite but I have a feeling if I buy it now then they'll announce an ultimate edition is coming soon. Then again I don't know if the DLC is even worth caring about.

 
I picked up Payday 2... almost bit a couple weeks ago @ $12, but $8.xx did the trick.

Still debating on the Walking Dead episodes. I played the free first episode last night, and the story was compelling. I just don't know if it offered enough to purchase the others for a single run-through/delete.

That shouldn't have much to do with a GOTY/Complete version since 2K is alive and well. It still doesn't seem likely, though, since the game is now getting pretty old and most complete versions are done within a year of the original release date.

Absolutely, IMO. The platforming is still solid, though there is some tricky jumping where you have to line yourself up correctly. The pogo jumping on the NES required you to jump and then press down to use the cane. That can be switched to a single button press now, though the hardest difficulty requires the other old method. The graphics are straight from the TV series. Only gripe I had with them was the mouths didn't move for dialog, which is minor. Even being well into their 90s, Alan Young and June Foray still sound great as Scrooge and Magica, and they got the rest of the surviving voice cast to reprise their roles. There's also 2 new stages that fit right in to the game.

If achievements are your thing, the one for completing the game on the hardest difficulty is a challenge, but not too much of a pain. Bit of grinding for another achievement, but since you need to play through the game at least twice for difficulty related achievements, that puts you well on way toward it anyway.

I try to work on my backlog. My main problem isn't buying cheap(er) games, it's putting hundreds of hours into some of the games I do play. That's a lot of 10-20 hour games that could potentially be knocked off the backlog.

The PlayXBLA site is run by Microsoft, so we should be able to take it as official that it will be at that price for about a month. Whether it ends with July or lasts a week into August mirroring the posting a week into July, though, isn't clear. Also unknown is whether it will remain on the marketplace at a higher price like the Twisted Pixel bundle, or get delisted like the other bundles from last year. The games are well worth the price tag, even if they don't get discounted again until 2017.

 
Major Nelson responded to someone on twitter that Peggle 2 not showing up on sale is a "known issue and the right people are aware and fixing it"

Although look how long it took them to release the Rapture Edition that included all of both games' DLC.

Don't count on that! Expect a crapload of Rockstar games or Kinect titles or some dumb crap.

Still trying to decide if I want Bioshock Infinite, The Witcher 2, or Dishonored. Better make up my mind soon!

I can't recommend The Witcher 2 enough. Hands down, one of the best games I've ever played. It's a shame it was released around the same time as Skyrim and got lost in the hype, as it was a million times more engrossing and enjoyable.

Great story and characters, fun combat, pretty to look at; it had everything I want in an RPG.

 
I haven't bought anything since the first day of the sale (Halo: Spartan Assault and King of Fighters XIII). Thinking about picking up Split/Second again as I really enjoyed that game aside from the rubberband AI that got frustrating to beat everything in first place.
