  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Sort of, I had bioshock 1&2 for the ps3 at one point. Played the first one for a few hours but didn't care for it, never bothered to even try the second installment. Since I had $15 of the free GS money left I figured I'll try again with 2 & Infinite. If I hate them no big loss since they were essentially free.

It rarely goes on sale. If you plan on playing it right away do it. I have the $20 version and I wish I would of got the $40 version. Other than once I've never seen them offer the option to upgrade for $20 more. Great game by the way well worth the xbox credit .

Yeah the time they offered it for half off to people that had the character pack or 12% off straight up was the only discount I could find on the $40 pack. Worked out to a max of $5 discount regardless if you have bought the $20 pack a couple weeks prior to that when it was $15.

I'm just all woo fighting games still after watching Evo. Not that I'm hurting for fighters to play on other platforms. SSF4AE, KoF13, and something I'm forgetting on 360. SSF4, Skullgirls, KoF13, and SC5 among others on PS4. I just wish there were some details on Season 2 like when it's going to start coming out and pricing.

The site looks questionable, but like you said, should be good with Paypal. The only 2 I don't have is Ghosts and Madden. New Madden will be out soon, but I won't have much time to play when it comes out, so I think I'll get it.

I mostly got rpg's this week except one, which was Skate 2.

Ended up buying the Serious Sam games.  Now I need to make a decision on the Skyrim DLC and Darksiders 2.  Have Darksiders 2 on disc for PS3 and the Skyrim DLC installed on PS3 (though I sold the GOTY disc and have the vanilla for both systems).

Yeah had them both in the cart and was only getting the discount on Madden. Took it out of the cart but then my account wasn't considered new anymore. Womp womp.

 
Dammit... I am tempted by the Ghosts SP, since it would carry over when I buy an X1... But I didn't play a lot of Ghosts and went back to BO2... Arrrrrgh. I hate being a CAG sometimes. Why do cheap prices tempt me so????

This. This mentality makes no sense to me. You claim its your favorite game yet you can't buy the dlc? I had no problem spending $20 on the bioshock infinite season pass because I absolutely love the bioshock series and want to play everything day one. If you have no money that's a different story.

This. This mentality makes no sense to me. You claim its your favorite game yet you can't buy the dlc? I had no problem spending $20 on the bioshock infinite season pass because I absolutely love the bioshock series and want to play everything day one. If you have no money that's a different story.

I rarely buy DLC unless I know it's large DLC and actually has great reviews. I don't like to support all DLC because some of it is just a grab at your wallet for barely any extra content over the vanilla version.
 
I've got money for it but I don't have time for it. If I buy Hearthfire I'm gonna be hit for creating a new character and integrating the houses as part of my role play. Lol... I don't have the dozens of hours to put into the game like that anymore. Trust me I want to... but it's a slippery slope, I start a new game and eventually I'll start putting off little things just to keep playing skyrim.
 
Haven't started my Bioshock Infinite playthrough yet. Would anyone say the Columbia's Finest pack is worth getting since it's not part of the season pass? Thanks.

This was true until earlier this year when someone managed to get hold of what is apparently a legitimate Microsoft-signed 500 GB security sector. Some speculate it's from an Xbox One drive but nobody really knows where it came from. I'm skeptical about the Xbox One theory since the drive I saw in an XBO teardown was a Samsung Spinpoint, not one of the Western Digitals you have to use on the 360.

This is unfortunately true, the 3rd party sellers often don't bother to install the emulation partition. You could fix it yourself after the fact, but in that case it probably would have been cheaper to just buy the drive and do the whole thing yourself.

That entire week and not a one game to get me to bite on.  Ugh.  I looked at Split Second but... I wouldn't play it enough  (BTW, Split Second has what looks to be a vehicle pack + another vehicle that are DLC for free). 

At this rate I'm just going to save up my MS credit from Rewards until the end of the year again I guess.  That's a long stretch of months off but.... unlike some of ya'll here I can't afford to buy a game I'll never really play just because it's on sale.

From what I've read review wise it's helpful for new players, apparently the lockpicks are very useful early on, or so they say. I just want the rifle...
 
Nothing for me this week (I wouldn't spend more than $1 each on the Dooms and Wolfestein 3D). That's good, I guess T_T Only thing I bought last week was the TWD2 season pass, which was great, since I was waiting for it.

Now Torchlight for free in next month's GwG and I'm good to go.

I thought it was worth it for the unique gear included. I used the Bull Rush pants a lot in my Charge build.

Nah, you don't need this pack at all. Just explore the world and you'll find more than enough lockpicks.

A bunch of people got free games by creating Live Accounts for regions like Oman where due to an error the games were listed as free.

A lot of those people got banned from Live for doing it.

Also we don't talk about Fight Club.

Its a 15-20 hour single player game with insane guns that cause a comical amount of enemy dismemberment. The story, gameplay, and characters are all well done. But my main gripe was lack of competitive game modes to keep me playing after I'd done everything. I got 100% achievements after 3 days and traded it in. So yes....great game. One of the years best. But very little replay value.

Torchlight is a game I have very, very patiently waited on. I missed the only good sale on it anytime recently (wasn't around). It's A#1 on my Want list. It would seem to be a perfect GWG game honestly, except there's no console version of Torchlight II for it to be promoting. Which is too bad.

 
Am I crazy or was Burial at Sea Ep2 free prior to this deal? I could've sworn I downloaded it but I'm not seeing it in my transaction history.

I got the first Torchlight free on PC a long time ago. Doesn't take much to run it and was fun. I would like Torchlight 2 on console since it is newer.
