  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Going to get Jeopardy and The Raven episodes. Don't think I can see anything else I'd be willing to bite on. Still upset that more X1 stuff isn't on sale. There are a few digital only games I'd like to get (Child of Light, Valiant Hearts, Nutjitsu, Contrast). Probably too new....

 
Tempted by Frontlines, but it seems like heavily multiplayer focused, and I doubt people play this much some 6 years later (if the servers are up, even). Tempted by Destroy All Humans!, but boy, this sequel sure has abysmal ratings - same for Young Justice. Tempted by The Raven, that one looks genuinely good although I'm not a huge fan of point-n-click - but I liked Telltale's games interactive movies, so I'll likely give a shot to the demo. Tempted by MX vs ATV, Red Faction Armageddon and Injustice, but their European prices stink. Akrham City (finished Asylum) and Darksiders 1 are sitting in my backlog (with the 2nd one being there for around 2 years now), no point in buying more stuff by these franchises until I finally finish those. Tempted by Risen 2, though I'm kinda dubious if I want to add another long RPG to my backlog, with stuff like Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age 1 and Eternal Sonata sitting comfortably there - albeit a proper pirate themed modern RPG is a rarity so I might bite on it out of sheer interest of the concept. Jeopardy isn't even on the marketplace over here, granted, the show never existed here - too bad, I don't have any comparable game, would have liked to get it. Pretty much every other game I already own or their price is still a bit too high.

These are actually good sales mostly, and still I find myself unable to pull a trigger just yet. I became the dubious CAG.

On a side note, I bought Abyss Odyssey while the first week sale is on. Holy crap it's insanely artsy. I have rarely seen such original, stylish and inventive games, and despite the fairly short time I took to beat the final (?) boss (2+ hours), the amount of content looks pretty stellar, so I'm nowhere near done. One of the finest rogue-likes on X360 surely.

 
Wow, kind of a good sale. I'll be breaking out the Red Faction games this week (have both sealed) to see if I want any DLC. Any recommendations on that score?

I played the demo, and it fell pretty lackluster and mostly repetitive, mashing felt like the best option for combat

Injustice Ultimate Edition is still $19.99 for just about every system at Amazon (2-3 week Backorder, but still available to order) (CAG thread)

I ordered it the other night, but now I'm not sure if that's the best deal anymore. Is it really worth $12 more for the ultimate portion? I know nothing about the game itself, but I guess the 60 new STAR lab missions help with the higher price. Oh, and the fact that I can sell it when I'm bored of it (I don't play fighting games online)

Even at $3.99, I don't think I can bring myself to buy DAH: Path of the Furon. It just looks bland to me. I've got my eye on Abyss Odyseey and was hoping there were others that could give their thoughts on the game. 

As for Xbox one, I wish they would just put Loco Cycle on sale for $5 (or less)  O:)

I wouldn't call one outlier a trend (other statisticians would agree). My guess is that the sales are programmed in advance and the time was set to midnight PST instead of midnight UTC. Have to wait at least another week or more to say for sure if this is going to be permanent (I hope it's not, I like going to bed knowing what's on sale :D)

 
They just won't do discount on Darksider2 Crucible Pass it's still 9.99.  fuck It. GoD doesn't come with Cru..Pass, but new hard copy does.  From my calculation it is so much cheaper to get it from amazon for around 10 bucks, basically you'll get the game for 5 and Cru..Pass for 5.

From looking around online it seems like the $2 one are more for Multiplayer versus/survival stuff, while the 3.50 ones are actual single player/co-op content, so I'll probably end up skipping out on the 2 smaller ones if that's the case.

Abyss is really fun, I've played it quite a bit in co-op (Beat it twice, tried all the characters for a while) and I really enjoy it. It does have a few problems with the camera and connectivity while in coop, but I would guess those are not in single player (haven't played it). It has a pretty deep combat system and then you get a few skills that you can choose to upgrade in 3 different ways (damage, mana, defense) for each character. It doesn't have a super deep loot system but you lose your stuff when you die and have to start at the beginning of the dungeon anyways so it works well for what the game is. It also has a neat system where you can earn/buy/capture the bad guys and play as them during that run and there are quite a few of them that you can play as.

I can't comment much on if the single player has any different functions or not but from what I've done I feel it's definitely worth the sale price it's at.

Lemme know how bad it is/isn't. All the glowing Metacritic reviews of Ep 1 seem over-hyped and the poor score that Gamespot gave it seemed like a more genuine review by comparison (believe it or not).

I was mostly eyeing it in hopes of having a "less intense" game the gf can get into, but Gamespot made the first ep sound like a bland boring mess.
 
Wow, really happy with sales today.  Surprised there are this many to choose from.  Especially surprised about Marvel Origins.  I though that this game was not even allowed to be sold anymore.  Def gonna be picking it up.

God, i stayed up until 4 a.m waiting for it to play it before going to class. And nothing!!! I wake up and it is there, crap... now i'll have to wait till tonight.

Brought myself to buy Doom 1 on Saturday. Was worth it. At Knee Deep in the Dead E1M6 right now. Hopefully I will finish before week is over. I might buy another Xbox$ card for Wolfenstein and Doom 2.

In EU the game is even more expensive, but I'm not in any hurry to play it. If I REALLY wanted to play the game I'll already own it. Besides, I've my two 320gb HDD's almost full (you know, the hoarder policy where don't delete the games downloaded). I prefer to get that game on disk and uninstall it once I finish it (yeah, it's weird to say this refering to a fighting game).

But as you say, this offer is quite good.

 
Have any of you gotten any points from this Binge program on Xbox Live Rewards?  I have bought well over $60 dollars worth of games but have received no points at all.

 
I grabbed MvC: Origins, further solidifying my 360's status as my second Dreamcast. It's not the best price, even if it is two games, but it's more a peace of mind thing knowing that it's due to be delisted anytime now.

I dug the vibe of The Raven when I played the demo, does anyone know how long each episode is? I get the impression that a maximum of twelve people globally have played it to completion.
 
Just tried out Marvel vs. Capcom. I couldn't help but laugh to see Captain America and Captain Commando teaming up. Hell the sight of Captain Commando alone made me laugh; never expected to see him in another video game. I played well as Spider-man but stunk with everyone else. Not a fan of this one so I'll pass and stick with Street Fighter.

 
Some good deals but I keep thinking it'll show up a GwG eventually and if doesn't they'll probably go on sale again or I won't miss having them. I'm hoping the 360 has at least four more years and then have a fire sale the last few months as they start delisting games.
