  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Wow...  I'm genuinely surprised by the Tomb Raider exclusive announcement.  I wonder if it will only be for a year or two.  SquareEnix already publicly stated that they were disappointed with the sales of the first one (and they sold 10 million quickly).  I guess they are hoping making it exclusive on a platform with a smaller install base will move consoles and the game.  We'll see.  

 
Are the xbox one bundles going to be exclusive to germany since its based there or is it for north america as well?

Not sure on the FIFA one, but they showed $ prices for the CoD and SO ones, so those 2 will make it over here for sure.

The 14's dropped last week to $40. Now the 13's are dropping to $20.

NHL 14 might be a temporary cut though. It had already dropped to $40 w/ the other 14's, and now is at $30.

The rest are undoubtedly permanent, as NHL and Madden will both launch 15 soon (and NCAA 15 would have been launching soon as well, had Ed O'Bannon not killed it). 'tis the time of year for new EA Sports games... and EA to try like mad to get a couple more sales of their previous year's ones.

 
The CoD console looks pretty cool, but the $100 premium turns me off. I know that there's a HDD increase and a paint job, but when Madden and Sunset Overdrive are in bundles for $100 less, I can't say that 500GB and a different paint job is worth the hike. They should give you the Season Pass to Advanced Warfare as well, IMO.

Meanwhile, I keep thinking "what am I going to do when a Halo paint job comes out?" I've got a Bone already, but I have a feeling I'll want the Halo version REALLY BADLY.

This. That COD bundle sucks, what part of people just don't want to pay 499$ does MS not understand.

 
Man, TR's sales must have been even further below Squeenix's expectations then everyone thought for them to allow MS to throw money at them for an exclusive. It's got to be timed, unless they made this deal a while back, they have to have seen how Titanfall did and TR doesn't ever get that much casual support. I doubt the deal is old either or MS would have claimed it back when the game was announced for sure.

PC version at least, PS versions in 6 months. For now it says Xbox, so I'm sure we're getting 360 at least.

 
Hmm, I know plenty of people that will pay a 100 dollar premium just for the paint job since it's limited edition. The Hard drive increase sweetens the deal. But to your guys' point, the bundle isn't for everyone.

I normally agree with you, because the bundles usually come at a premium with a paint job and other stuff. However, Microsoft's been throwing free games at the One bundles left and right (Forza, FIFA, Titanfall, Madden, Sunset Overdrive--WITH the paint job) that adding the game in the CoD bundle doesn't hold the value it normally would, IMO. With the Gears and Halo360s, you got a HDD boost, but you also got a painted console, a PHYSICAL game, and a second controller, plus Avatar items (not a big deal).

I just feel like this bundle doesn't hold the value of the 360 era, yet it's got a similar price hike.

They could AT LEAST grow a pair and give the DLC discount on the Season Pass--I'd maybe jump into it if the Season Pass dropped to $20.

Seriously. I haven't played Titanfall since about a month after release. I would definitely start playing again if they put the SP up for $20 or less.

They DID like to use it in their pixel battle, so now the Xbox can claim resolution superiority on the new one, haha.

I'm not big on the idea of third-party exclusives like this though. I'd rather Microsoft eat money by dropping the price of the One again, rather than buy an exclusive which doesn't even sell consoles.

I'm surprised no one's corrected you yet, but it was 4 million sales, not 10 million. For 10 million sales, we'd have to go back to like Super Mario 3 on NES when the market wasn't so crowded. To date, Tomb Raider has sold 6.5 million.

I'm not big on the idea of third-party exclusives like this though. I'd rather Microsoft eat money by dropping the price of the One again, rather than buy an exclusive which doesn't even sell consoles.

TR was a great game, but after finishing it, it wasn't worth another play through. And MP was just a waste of time. They should have focused all their resources on making the game solely as a single player game. TR not being on PS4 is not a deal breaker.

 
So we still can't use our account credit to buy games on the web store? Ugh! I forgot to pick up a few of the games that are on sale from last week and now it's pay for it with my debit card or don't get them at all since I'm at work. I missed out on the Banjo bundle the same way last week. I really need to stop waiting till the last minute to buy games.

Gamescon Quantum Brake gameplay - shit's awesome!  They really did a nice job with them visuals and time manipulation.  I want that bullet time and tons of it, actually I wouldn't mind if they'll add evasive elements from MaxPayne uhh yeah the ultimate slow motion action package.  Suck it Matrix!

And, it is damn surprise for new TombRaider being a Xbox lunch exclusive.  WTF? No wonder PS fans would rage over this.  It was a big scandal when FFXIII came out on Xbox and now Square a loyal PS company says:  fuck Sony I'll start with Xbox for a change.

Of course the FIFA bundle is only available in Europe, whereas NA gets Madden  :wall:

The news about Tomb Raider is certainly unexpected though. 

 
xbox.com says titanfall is 50% off but marked at 49.99, dashboard only maybe? checked the first post but doesn't look updated yet
 
I bought Crystal Defenders, though I'd like the discount for it to be bigger, but it's been 4 years from last sale on this game. As MS likes to delist games without previous announce, I'll get it now.

Also, Poison and Bison are the only characters that look specially cool in the new vacation costume pack for USF4 imo.

Both! The Halo one won't come out until next year. :D/

Then again, don't listen to me, I have an unnatural affinity to LE controllers. By the way, this is up at Gamestop as well. Comes with some DLC (hello ebay) for a price tag of $70.

I love Tomb Raider, but Goat Simulator is also great. My laptop couldn't run the new map well at all. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Reminder for those that missed it, Redbox has free game rentals this week when you reserve online. Just got PacMan Ghost Adventures
