XBLA Arcade Unplugged for $20 on Amazon & EBGames (Universal Drop)

That's a fair price....I only wish that you could send the disc into M$ and get the points or code equivalent...but alas. I received this as a gift, and I think that it's very worthy at this price. It's a rip-off at anything above this. Since this is a universal drop, wait til BB changes their price and use GGC.

I bought this last week on eBay, it was new for $12.99 plus $5 shipping. Very worthwhile purchase, but I agree with the above post that it would be nice to be able to play the games without the disc. Wik is a pretty solid arcade game. I wish that the download arcade games would price drop as well. Seems silly that arcade games that have been out for over a year are still 800 points. I would jump on both Jewel Quest and Feeding Frenzy if they dropped to 400 points.
these are full featured.. as in you can play them on live?
Yes, those that are the featured games are exactly the same and complete as the game as if you had downloaded it. Be aware that there are some demos that are also included on the disc, that exactly that...just demos.

Yes. They're the complete games listed, plus some additional demos. All can be played identically as if you've bought them online. The only difference is that you need the disc to play them.

I don't think we'll ever see price drops on downloadable XBLA and PSN games. There's no inventory to clearance out so I don't think they'll ever do it. Besides, they'd have to advertise the drops somehow because otherwise how would anybody know?

They could post an announcement on the dashboard, so users would see it when they turn on their 360s.

I agree, though, that we most likely will not see any price reductions on the Arcade titles.

I've been holding off on Geometry Wars waiting for this price. Once I can get it at BB for $15 a/c I'll pick it up for this and for poker.

Does anyone know if poker will EVER integrate the camera into the game and if so, will one be able to do so with the disc as opposed to the downloaded game?

damn i just broke down and bought geometry wars the other day. I guess the one good thing is that i dont have to load the disc up

The other difference is you actually own the games and can play them on any 360 without Live. It's not a glorified rental like the download versions.

Outpost seemed fun, but I'm not sure I'd pay $20 for it (and the rest of the games aren't anything special IMO).
o.k. thanks im getting this it comes with a free month of gold right?
yep, i got this at gamerush during their 50% off thing for $15, figure the 1month card is worth $7.50, so $10 (with the new pricedrop) for a bunch of decent games

Trust me, after seeing giant nearly naked pasty white fat guys, you don't want the camera.

This includes Wik, which is a great $10 game. It's a really good price if you don't, like me, have all of the games you want from this package already.
Went to CC, BB, and GameStop today and all of them had it listed as $39.99 still.
Then your gamestop didn't update their price stickers. I bought this yesterday for $19.99 there.

Just a heads up. I looked at the game case the other night. All the online stores list the contents as:

* Geometry Wars
* Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
* Wik - Fable of Souls
* Hardwood Backgammon
* Outpost Kaloki X

but the case I looked at had Texas Hold 'Em instead of Outpost Kaloki X. I was considering picking it up until I saw that. I already have THE and wanted OKX. Oh well.

It should have the games you listed and Texas hold em cause i check several b&m store and that is what you get.

Any find this at a Best Buy yet? Is it $20 there? Because I can't find the game in my stores and it isn't on the bestbuy.com web either. I'm thinking about buying it at EB Games instead.
I just bought it off ebay for $10, if I hate all the games (already have geo wars), then it's only $10.
Did you get free shipping or something?
