been looking forward to this sale for a bit. they had some great deals last year. i'm hoping limbo and/or guardian of light are part of the daily deals...dead rising case zero would be nice too.
 
The prices aren't ridiculously fantastic, but I'll probably still get Super Meat Boy, Castle Crashers, and Banjo Tooie... maybe Risk, too, if that one's any good.
 
Thanks for posting this up. Hmmm....I was hoping for some 560MSP prices but oh well. Hopefully, Limbo will be on sale during those Daily Deals. The only game I am somewhat interested in that list is Comic Jumper and still I don't think I will get it for 800MSP.

possibly going to pick up Comic Jumper...i've heard that it gets repetitive though so the question is: will it eventually fall to a price of less than 800 points?

definitely going to get Borderlands Claptrap DLC...been meaning to go back to that game for a while now as I still haven't started the Secret Armory DLC I got on the last sale

I'm also surprised to see Super Meat Boy on sale. It was at 800 for the first month of its release. They should have discounted it more or put a different game up.

Here's hoping for some good daily sales...I hope to see RDR's Undead Nightmare pack on sale (but I doubt it), Pinball FX2's table packs (although fairly new) would be great to see reduced as well as Pacman CE DX

Thanks! That's one I was considering without knowing anything about it.

I can almost guarantee Limbo will be one of the daily deals or at least otherwise on sale during the holidays. And if it is, then I will buy it.
 
The latest issue of Xbox Magazine had some hints about some of the sales for this promotion. From my guesses:

Is this a Gold members only thing or does everyone get in on the fun? Would love for the Alan Wake DLC to be cheaper.
 
You guys should give the Undergarden demo a try. Game's not for everyone, but at 400 points it could be a good game to play with a casual friend, family member or significant other. Or just to unwind. It's kind of a relaxing game despite its flaws.

Also I worked on the game so...plz?

Points for honesty! I played the demo on steam but I had a feeling it would work better with a controller. I'll check it out and most likely get it at 400. :)

600 is a more likely price, but it could be a really nice deal if its one-day only.

Agreed. Tho anyone interested in board games who doesn't already have Carcassonne should pick it up for 400 points. It's a classic and still has a good community.

I hope all the Mass Effect 2 DLC goes cheap. I've been planning on picking it all up at once then playing through ME2 again with all the new stuff - hopefully making it enough of a new experience.

i've never even heard of this "Undergarden" so I'll at least check out the demo...

personally even though its not part of the sale I can't wait for A World of Keflings to come out. The first was so relaxing so I'm hoping the second delivers a ton more content

But yes, the Undergarden is a bargain at 400 points. Play Trials, get frustrated, then go play Undergarden and all will be well again.

its playable online though the community is quite dead by this point

if you plan to play it at all offline be ready for some frustration. Only 4 "campaign" missions to the single-player game which take little more than 2 hours to clear (most of which is spent waiting for the computer to move around). Perfect AI dice rolls when they need it also kills any fun. Nothing like attacking an AI space with 15+ troops on your side against 2 AI players only to lose them all or just reverse the situation and watch 1 AI character dismantle your army with minimal troop count. AI dice rolls of continuous 6's when the game is on the line also sucks...rubberband AI is just bad gameplay design when the developer can't make a competent computer adversary. Games like this should have totally skipped out on the single-player area because it just becomes a total nuisance.

But if it as anything good going for it then I guess it'd be the number of maps and a few of the new features provided in the XBLA are worthwhile (most of which are certain "events" that trigger on maps when specific territories are held).

I picked it up during its last sale at $5 though and even I felt sorta ripped off. Maybe others will like it though
 
This is live, now. I picked up Super Meat Boy, Castle Crashers, Carcassonne, and uh... Banjo-Tooie. I didn't see what the deal of the day is yet or if it's even up yet.
 
it seems as though some of the daily sales are the RDR packs

the Undead Nightmare pack is sitting at 600 points while the Undead Nightmare Collection (all DLC so far for the game) is sitting at 1200. Maybe I'm just losing my mind and these were always the prices but I could swear they were definitely more than that

so if I'm right and they are the daily deals...then :)

I like that they're giving clues on what they're releasing each day this year, my guesses are next to each day. Sadly, I've bought most of everything I want that I think they'll be releasing.

I already got the Signal free with the game... Might as well check out the writer for that price... although I have heard it sucks the big one.

I got The Signal for free as well...even it was a horrible P.O.S. I'm not quite sure why I even bothered purchasing The Writer. Damn sale... :bomb:
 
I grabbed The Writer even though I don't have the game yet... since absolutely everyone seems to be selling it for $20 during Boxing Week, I'm hopeful that I can find a copy at that price. :)
 
Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" for Dance Central is now 80MS points (dec 25th deal)...I wish they put all the songs on sale instead of just one as its kinda lame
 
As sad as it is, I originally bought my 360 for Alan Wake, but I have yet to play Alan Wake. :X

Oh well, picked up the DLC. At least when I do play it I'll be eligible for all the achievements.

If the ME2 DLC ends up being as cheap as this or the RDR stuff, then I'm set.
 
So today, a 12 month gold membership is $39.99

I've never got gold before as I don't play multiplayer games...or have friends who play video games in general. Is this worth it for netflix and if so, might it automatically renew itself next year if the same deal is on?

Also, is that even a good price? Is it ever any cheaper anywhere else?

you might find that when you buy Gold you suddenly enjoy playing multi-player games. I was the same way before saying I was only doing single-player titles but then the lure of certain MP games pulled me in. Just looking at your profile and seeing that you've played Borderlands means you should hop on XBL Gold with the game as it is MP focused ;)

Anyways not sure about netflix as I don't use it but Gold is worthwhile if you buy a lot of arcade items as well as many of the sales are only available to XBL Gold members so you can potentially make the money back in savings that you spent in the first place

$35-$39 is the usual buy price and about as cheap as it gets (in Canada)
 
I'd snag a gold membership for $39.99. Is there a place to buy that through the site? I don't actually have my xbox yet but I should be getting it within the next couple of weeks, and then I think it comes with a free month.
