($7), a saving of $3, beginning Monday, March 2 and will remain discounted until Sunday, March 8.

I've wanted this since summer, but I still can't justify that price for this DLC. If I had leftover points I'd be all over it, though.
sigh...also waiting:drool:
Ya makes me wish I would have waited on Castle Crashers. I'm personally waiting for Penny Arcade or Geometry Wars 2. I am wondering if its even worth it though for me to renew XBL....my XBL just ran out and I dont really play online much(few times a year at most)but these deals will save money.....but at the same time if I only buy 3 or 4 games and save $4 or $5 on each....its really not a savings for the $35-$40 I would have to spend on XBL.

Never picked up NG II so I am gonna have to pass, but I do like have a deal each week on the store. Picked up Braid last week and have been enjoying the hell out of it. (Especially at the reduced rate)

So where's the deal, lol?

Larry Hyrb posted which 4 games would get discounted stuff to start. The next few weeks the discounts will be on the xbox original Fable 1, and PGR4 DLC

Great, at least I know now not to care for at least 3 more weeks.
Is the first fable worth picking up if I never played it or should I just skip right past it to Fable 2?
Yes, it's worth picking up. But not on XBLA, even at a reduced price.

You're better off picking up a disk copy of Fable which can be had for cheap. (I got Fable - The Lost Chapters for $7 new IIRC)

Fable 1 is a great game. If you've never played it I suggest you pick it up.

Why wouldnt you suggest getting it via XBLA?

Because a hard copy of Fable was dirt cheap a year ago, and is undoubtedly cheaper now? What is it, $15 on XBLA? That's highway robbery. Regardless, I'm sure you can get it for around $5.

XBLA wants $15 for it. If you've got an original Xbox, you may as well play the game on the system it was designed for rather than through a buggy emulator.

Ya but if it was discounted down to like $8 is there any reason to not buy it? I have refused to buy any XBO title for the simple fact that as you said they are just ripping people off. But if the discount in the coming weeks was $3 more then a hardcopy would there be a reason not to just grab the digital? Also is the hard copy fully BC?

Hrmm... I'm torn on this DLC... on one hand I would never pay $10 for it... but even at $7... I'm not sure it is worth it... BUT... now is the time to get it if I do really want it... AAHHH! Must go look into what this Mission Mode DLC really contains...

considering i just bought ninja gaiden ii for $10 bucks i am not going to spend the same ammount to just get a mission pack dlc, same for pgr4 $10 at wally world and the dlc is overpriced...they need to just keep discounting xbla games and soccer slam would be good to :)

I would definitely renew to gold. You get a lot of stuff for like .60 cents a week/$2.5 a month if you hop on one of the $30 deals.

Well, if you lack an original Xbox, obviously you're limited to playing it on a "buggy emulator" anyway, so absolutely no difference. I would suspect if anything it'd run a little smoother from the hard drive if not the same.

It just comes down to how important a "hard copy" is to you. It's confined to your hard drive, but simultaneously, I don't think the next pieces of hardware are necessarily going to run original Xbox game discs any better.

Still debating on this I have yet to beat 2 and don't even know if I'd play this. I know its not as well known or played but I wish they put the Samurai Warriors xtreme legends download on sale or lower the price or something. Its 2400 points, bleh.

I went back and forth in my head with this for a long time over Psychonauts before I finally just bought it.

The disc versions and the download copies play the same. As far as Fable 1 and 2, they seemed fairly independent of each other to me. The story doesn't continue over to Fable II.

The main advantage to the digital is you don't have to put a disc in, possibly slightly better load times, and its convenient.

The main detriments of the digital copy is that it may be more expensive, it takes a significant amount of hard drive space 4gig+ (Big deal if you only have a 20), and you can't sell it or lend it out.

I finally chose a digital copy of Psychonauts simply because it was hard to find a physical one, the price difference really wasn't that great, and the resale/lending factor didn't amount to very much.

So we have a game that went "on sale" for the price it should have released at half a year ago, and now a measly $3 off a game add-on.

I see a whole lot of fuck deals like this in the future, in a bad economy companies throw any deals at people and theyll still jump for it like flies on fuck.

I know after getting the free kings pack code last week i was hoping that this game was next.
