Im Looking for a couple XBLA games that worthy of purchase, Im a regular cheapass by heart and any form of currency makes me wary. I finally got some of those (Ripoff) Microsoft points and am looking for something Good and worthwhile to buy.

Im leaning towards Texas Hold Em' but the price is high and Geometry Wars looks pretty cool. Any reccomendations?

Well I think a good start is Aegis Wing cause its free. Anyway the ones that I own that I enjoy are:
Worms
Prince of Persia
Bomberman
Root Beer Tapper ( Might just be me though) ;P
Cloning Clyde Is wayyyy fun
Marble Blast
TMNT

Those are all of the ones I can think of off the top of my head I own over 20 arcade games but those are the ones that stick out. Also try out free trials thats always the best

Geo wars is really fun. Hold em is pretty fun. Don't forget the free game aeris wing. Carcassone and Catan are great german board game, if your into that sorta thing.

Geo wars is exactly like the demo exept no time limit. I liked it but not space giraffe.

TMNT

Dig Dug (I got it on the sale and have played it much more than I thougt I would)

Catan (again, try the demo, it's not for everyone)

Space Giraffe
Geometry Wars
Pac-Man Championship Edition
Marble Blast Ultra
Streets of Rage 2
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

The online multiplayer ones are going to have the most replay value, so I'd go for:

Uno
Bomberman
Tetris Splash
TMNT
Carcassonne

And good single player:

Castlevania: SOTN
Geometry Wars
That Marble One Whatever It's Called
Aegis Wing (cuz it's free of course)
Eets: Chowdown

I have a shit-ton of XBLA games now thanks to free points, I have all of those except Eets, which I plan on getting soon, but liked the trial. Just get the demos and buy what you know you'll like.
Tetris Splash
Play the demo first. The controls are SO unresponsive that it kills it for me once it starts to get to the faster levels.

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 is the only one worth spending money on.

How do you Get free points?

Ive gotten the free game codes from the Xbox registration thing, havent used them yet, just for Joust and Robotron. Ive goten Aegis wing ahile back and Centipede and Millipede.

Puzzle Quest will rule, but that may be too expensive for you.

Bomberman and Uno have been the only ones I've played recently.

I got Tetris and was disappointed, if you have Tetris DS don't bother with it on the xbox.

Ooooh I forgot one. Marathon, it really is a good game despite what people say. Just play the demo first to make sure it doesn't make you motion sick.

don't listen to him...

if you love tetris, you got to get this :)

There's a lot of choices you have, try the demos for the many that were suggested here.

Pac Man CE is one of my favs, the Super Puzzle game is a lot of fun as well.

I've tried every single trial on there and found that none are worth buying. I suggest you do the same.

Just set the options to automatically download XBLA games and try them as they're downloaded.

:scratches head:

The only game I ever play when I get bored on it is geometry wars. Its so hard for me but I know that its possible to beat but I still wonder how people do it.

I've played a whole heap of Super Puzzle Fighter. Such a great game. Outside of that, I'd say my #2 time spent is Geometry Wars with Catan right behind that. Love all three.

If you ask that question in a forum you are going to get lots of answers that you don't agree with. You should download the trial versions of XBLA games that you think you'll like. But since you asked, I'll suggest Worms. It's a very fun game!

I know everyone's got an opinion, but thats what im asking. Ive got a limited amount of points and im looking to get my umm..Points worth? Im looking for something worth replaying. I tried Pacman CE and its kinda boring, Im going to be trying those Catan carcossone and Geometry Wars soon, Also i heard REZ was coming to the marketplace when is that coming?

The ones I play most frequently are...

Carcassone
Golden Axe
Streets of Rage 2
Super Puzzle Fighter 2X

I'm also psyched for the upcoming Puzzle Quest.

Holy crap no one said Texas Hold 'em poker? I have spent tons of hours in that game and it blows UNO out of the water. A great game to sit back and chat in if you get in the right kind of room.

Like someone else said you should just try the trials of any game you are considering.

But anyways here are some of the XBLA games I've enjoyed:

Cloning Clyde
Band of Bugs
Zuma
Castlevania
UMK 3: controls suck, but I still enjoyed playing my bro for nostalgic reasons
Worms
Streets of Rage 2
Golden Axe
TMNT
Aegis Wing

Yeah thats one Im strongly leaning towards, I love Texas hold em, and Poker games in general, Me and the buddies dont do Poker nights as often and Texas hold em sounds like a good fix for me. How is online play? Id like to play against others but wouldnt want to play in a room full of 8 year olds and homophobic racist assholes.

also almost everyone said TMNT...Is it really that good?

Hold'em is a fun game but I got that one for free, Dont know if I would Spend 800 points on it.

Five favorites, in order:

1. Pac-Man C.E.
2. Uno
3. Castlevania SOTN
4. TMNT
5. Ultimate MK3

Honorable mention to Aegis Wing since it's free. Texas Hold 'Em can be quite fun, but my opinion of it is influenced a bit since I got it during the free period. Not sure how much I'd like it if I paid.
