confirmed 800 pts for this and schizoid (majornelson.com)

can't wait for this... been waiting since i heard of its existence last week :)
definitely going to download the demo.
Me too. Hot Shots on the PS has always looked fun so I'm hoping this will be a good substitute.
what do you expect for $10 though?
For $20-30 you can get Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 which has 12 courses ;)

and theres a pretty big distinction between a full fledged game and a game on a system's arcade.

i never got into hot shot golf since i am very cheap. i did love albatross 18 on the pc which is a free golf game, hopefully Golf: tee it up, is as enjoyable as albatross.

That's still no excuse to skimp on content, especially for something that i can't trade/sell should i get tired of it.

I have to agree that the lack of courses makes this less appealing. If there were more than two courses, I probably would have bought it, as I have a weakness for golf games.

The sad part about all of this is that they will release the game for 800 points with only 2 courses and then likely release more content in the form of courses, characters, etc. for an additional MS point fee.

bought this about an hour ago. I'm really digging it so far. For the most part, everything about it is Hot Shots but it has Tiger Woods aftertouch though instead of jamming on a face button, you jam on the direction you want. Though there are only two courses, they are both pretty challenging and the the second course (Playland I thinks called), though hard, is pretty fucking cool with it's layout. Putting is going to take a bit to get use to as they went with a contour map for the green instead of a grid setup. Also don't like how there isn't that many options for the character creation, there just isn't that much stuff so I can see you running into a lot of people looking the same playing it online.

All in all, I see my self getting my $10 worth out of what is in it. Can't wait for them to start releasing the DLC for it

The demo was a blast, I'll be getting this.

It was incredibly new-user friendly (this is always my major turn off for golf games... I don't understand what you want me to do by giving me wind speed and direction and where the hills and dips are... I do not know how to play golf... I am a complete failure at even WiiSports golf). The "power ups" you can use also let you correct your newbieness, which is also very awesome for someone like me.

downloaded it this morning and I'm liking it so far. it does feel a little bare bones, but I don't mind paying for the DLC..

one more thing that I would have liked would be being able to run online tournaments.

If anyone is looking for someone else to play with, just add me to your friend list.

Oh and getting the Bunny Love acheesement was pretty funny. The way the bunny stares at your slippers made me laugh quite hard

Played through the demo here just a few minutes ago. This is a very nice little pickup-and-play golf game that certainly caters to the casual crowds. I have to recommend that people at least try the demo out.

I think DLC courses will be fine by me. I'll actually have to pony up for some MS Points to buy this one either later today or tonight.

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it. I like video game golf and this is a great version.

Damn did I just get lucky on Hole 7 - Got the Eagle Eye, Chip In, and Ironman achievements, lol.

2nd EDIT: I'll catch up with you later fart_bubble, I've got some stuff I need to do. It sucks that when a player leaves the game ends...

Is that what is going on? I've been freaking out. It happened again in the game I joined right after that happened. And its not my connection as it isn't signing me out of Live and I've just run my diagnostic program trying to figure out if something is going on with my connection and nothing is wrong on my end at all.

So if one person leaves the whole game is fucked? If so, thats some bullshit.

caribbeankid92, sorry dude. Don't know what is going on

ditto. I can see myself getting a lot of play out of 2 courses and they will most likely get my 5$ if they release more courses. I can't see them charging more then the price of the game for the DLC.

this game is great fun. im sure its even better with a few friends over & some alcohol

online is pissing me off way too much. Both games yesterday, someone quit. Today, I tried four games and in each one, someone quit. I just want my stupid fucking acheesements.

We need to set up a group and a time to play. I think I might be done with trying to play with people I don't know.

I bought the game after trying the demo. The game is deceptively hard! It seems like it would be really simplistic, but the second course in particular is pretty tough. I like it a lot.
I love how IGN put the subtitle "The best golf game on Xbox Live Arcade" when there are only two golf games on XBLA.

IGN: "We can hype it." ;)
IGN knows how to work, kid. :D

But seriously, anyone on the fence should at least try the demo. Fun times.

sweet, finally got my Networking acheesement and I also finally got my Hole In One. Quick question but for the Online Challenge one, if you say come in second, does it count that you've beat two people or do I actually have to win the cup to get credit?

Bought this and really enjoying it. Any CAGS want to play with someone who won't quit send a friend request.

I am really loving and enjoying this game. I mad to see only to courses though and the rest will have to be bought; the same goes for outfits. So sad see very little options in the game, but I really like the game either way. The biggest piss off like others have said is people dropping out.

yea, the putting grid sucks but I love this game!

the developers are waiting to see how this game does before releasing any DLC. if it does poor, we are stuck with what we have..

I didn't see it announced anyway, but there's some DLC up now. A new course for 320 and some clothing packs for 80 each.

Anyone tried out the new course? 320 is more than I want to pay considering I haven't really mastered the courses already out (not that the pricing is a surprise... I think we all knew where the gouging would be...)

I tried it last night. It's very pretty and nicely detailed. It's also VERY difficult. Lots of long narrow courses on cliff edges. Several par sixes. The worst though are the insanely tough greens. I was at the bottom of a mini-golf style hill with the hole at the top. Thanks to a glitch in the game, even at max power, I couldn't putt the ball up the hill hard enough to get the ball to the hole. That was super frustrating, but otherwise I think it's a pretty good value for the amount of content included.

still love this game! I bought the desert course. it's pretty hard. the other courses, not so much. I've been on a golf rampage, so I picked up Tiger Woods 09 on Friday. awesome game!
