XBLA Point Cards
Looking for a cheap deal for points, since CC was a bust =[ where can i get this cheap online?
Grab a copy of the ad and try to pricematch, or special order from CC would be my bet.

My CC didn't carry 1600 Point cards, and they wouldn't order any or even give me a deal on the 4000s. They said that individual stores don't have to honor the deals made by HQ, and after 10 minutes of arguing, they said they were going to call security to escort me out because I was "causing displeasure for other customers"

Report that to the BBB.

I got denied at my local Wal-Mart just now--they wouldn't price match instant rebates or special promos like the CC ad's buy 2 get $20 off deal.
As I stated in the other thread, I'll buy the cards for $10 from anyone if you want to sell them. PM me if you do!
why would anyone do this? they will lost time, gas, shipping, & tax selling it to you for $10.

Call CC customer service and explain this situation and maybe they'll try to rectify it.

well i just bought two 1600 cards this morning at my circuit city, when i checked out the lady was chargin me full price for the two of 'em, ($43something), but i was prepared with my catalog in hand and i showed that to her, then she called a supervisor or something anyways it took them like 10 minutes to aprove in the end i just paid 21.62...... nice deal

Gosh, didn't mean to piss some of you guys off. This is Cheap Ass Gamer. That's fine if you guys don't want to, I was just throwing it out there. You never know if someone wants to get rid of theirs for any reason. Plus I figured that if I'd PayPal them the money and they just PMd me the code it would be a simple transaction. I agree $10 was too low, $15 would've been a better starting point.

Anyways, I'll drop it and just put it in my tradelist. Thanks anyways!

Also, good luck to anyone trying to get in on the CC deal! I know some store employees were being jerks and trying to get out of their own advertised value.

They won't give a shit, from my experience. Call the BBB,then[/I call CC CS and tell them that you're thinking about filing a complaint with your local TV Consumer Affairs reporter.

Get the CC ad and go to BB to Price Match. I picked up some extra cards there today and they had a ton of the 1600 pt cards there.

Where's that catalog?

would this really work if you PM to Best Buy? cuz I know that their PM policy says they dont PM free deals and technically it is getting something free, but then again it just says SAVE $20, not free...

PRICEMATCH YOU FOOL! I got 6 at BB for $63!..and it was actually quite a pleasant experience getting the employees to do it, all depends on who you get. :)

It worked perfectly for me. Went to the manager with the CC ad and 2 cards. He said go to CS desk and she would ring it up. CSR checked with the manager came back and rang up the PM while I ran to grab 2 more cards. :bouncy:

As with all PM and with this deal in general YMMV, this should be a slam dunk at CC or anyplace that PM's but it doesn't seem to be working that way.

I agree that if CC blocks this deal or spins some BS story, you should call the BBB and/or your local consumer advocate from the newspaper or TV news. I would actually tell the manager that is what you are going to do as well. Call it what you will, false advertising, bait and switch, or just bad customer service, but the ad ultimately went out to consumers even though these things go through about 20 levels of in house reviews ahead of time. They should honor their deal or deal with the bad press this type of thing brings.

If so, they're doing a terrible job. The "ad correction notice", which is displayed prominently at the front of the store, always has several items on it almost every week. CC also has a reputation for under stocking the best deals; or holding back. Don't be surprised if they are out of 1600 cards all week, but the day the sale ends, the shelves will be overflowing with them.

Both local CC stores were out all week and I couldn't get any of the dozen or so other stores in the area to match it, so I missed out on that deal. Anyone have a lead on cheap MS points?

Specially ordered 4, but still haven't received the call. Called them myself and was told that they had none in-stock and that there wasn't anything coming in this week.

I didn't put any money down, so I'm wondering if CC is going to honor it.

Good to see that other people were able to get their special orders.
How do I get this $20 off on 2 1600pt Cards at CC? If the deal is over already, whats the next best deal?
It was a couple weeks ago, I went to wal mart to try and pm and one manager told me I could and then went I went to check out the checker was too stupid to figure out what the deal mean and tried to tell me theirs were 3 cents cheaper anyway (19.97) so I explained basicly it was b1g1 free and she got a manager that told me no. Gotta love wal mart.
