XBLA - PuzzleQuest: Galactrix - 1600pts

ah the joys of being drunk with a credit card, I woke up to find that I've bought this (was going to wait for someone to sell the cards for cheap). Anyways, for some reason, none of the cheesements are unlocking for me after doing what I'm supposed to do

I can't believe this game is 1600 points. Compared to the first Puzzle Quest, I thought this was horrible. I was addicted to the original like it was crack and was incredibly disappointed in Galactrix.

I've actually gotten to the point where I'm really enjoying the game and playing it for more time that I'd originally plan to, which is after getting the vast majority of the hacking done and I seem to be fairly neutral to most every faction whether they hate me or love me. I have to pick fights now to get experience if it's not a quest, though those have brought me to enemies at least 10+ levels above mine (~lvl 40 compared to me being ~28 or so) which are a bit out of my range with what skills I have to work with compared to their set of skills. I've noticed a few levels for each of the four attributes you can upgrade will level out until you pump enough points into them for an actual upgrade, so I'm more into the grinding portion of the game where I need money for a better ship with more slots for parts/skills along with leveling up.

I'm really liking it a lot now, but I was able get through a part of it that I don't all that many really want to go through if it weren't for this being a $20 game.

If anyone is still playing this, I'd love to get the online achievements--there seems to be nobody playing online. Happy to trade matches one for one.

The system is broke, me and my friend exploited a cheap way to never let the other player have there turn, while doing massive damage to the player.
Hmm I bit and bought one from him, with his rating I figured I'd give it a shot. I think this game IS worth it at 10 bucks even with gate hacking annoyances.
I'm going to buy one too. Thanks for the tip, seems reasonable.

Does the seller send a physical card or is it just an online code?

Its a code but he sent me a question with it in it since you can't email codes through ebay. Code worked and I'm eager to play!

I can second the experience that Spybreak8 had.
I bought the code from him, and in about 12 hours, I got an email saying he had a question...
but the code was in the email. Entered the code on the marketplace. Worked flawlessly!

Update 8:34am: I went ahead and bought Banjo-Kazooie from the same guy for $9... and had my code in under 30 minutes! I HIGHLY recommend this guy. $9 is a great price for Galactrix (55% savings)

Yea I'm enjoying the game for that price. The one thing that this game has over the original is more variety. However battles are the cool part and they should have a bit more of those. I like the mining, haggling, crafting and other variations compared to the gameplay of attacking another ship.

I just beat the "Luminary Archive"

It definitely doesnt compare to the original, but it's ok... so many cheap moments, and it takes too long to customize yourself, since the "stats" dont really affect you as much as they did in the original. Be sure to pick up the "Shield Virus" asap... great for taking out shields in one go, rather than chipping away.

One thing about this game, I do enjoy that I can always use my skills or abilities as from the original you always had a chance of failing the spell.

I've enjoyed this game actually, other than the hacking gates thing which gets a bit repetitive, if you do all the side missions you can vary up the gameplay. A quick shout out to the pc version which is 10 bucks from Impulse this weekend. I got my copy for 10 for the 360 a while ago off an ebay user and think its def worth 10 bucks.
