Features

Roogoo updates the square peg in a round hole premise to a whole new level. Help the Roogoo defeat their enemies, the evil Meemoo, in Roogoo, a new and innovative action-based puzzler. Players line up multiple platforms on different levels to allow shaped blocks to pass through and once enough of them stack up, that particular shape closes off. A simple premise becomes more complicated as Meemoos begin to obstruct players' paths, and butterflies attempt to steal blocks away. Players must swivel, roll, and boost their way through 45 puzzle-filled levels alone or with up to four friends in cooperative party mode play. For those with a more competitive spirit, Roogoo offers a two-player multiplayer mode over Xbox LIVE® where players battle to solve the same puzzle and can build up attacks to thwart their competitors' efforts.

 • New puzzle mechanic: Roogoo features unique 3-D puzzle mechanics where players guide shaped blocks through rotating disks in order to bring them to the ground for high scores while defeating the evil Meemoo.
 • Gameplay: Race through 45 progressive action-based puzzle-filled levels.
 • Multiplayer mode: The game features robust head-to-head two-player split screen competition over Xbox LIVE for a seriously fun race mode.
 • Attack meter: Race to build up your Attack Meter and place enemy Meemoos on your opponents' disks to give you that extra edge to knock out your competition.
 • Local party play: Play with one to four players in one game to complete any level. Work as a team and as an individual to get the best score.

Looks strange...like a kids toy turned into a puzzle game...could be interesting.

"Roo goo" would be the noise I would make after my brain died if I chose to buy this game.

To be fair, though, sometimes simplicity is good. Guide blocks though holes. Score points. "Save the world", as it mentions. Yep. ;)

Someone there must of had a kid screaming late at night the day before he had to present an idea for a game because it's pretty much that toy toddlers play with.

800 points? Hell no. 400 points? Might be worth it for the wife, she loves these games....

Good review in OXM. 8.0 or 8.5. They say it's 800 points. Sounds fun if you like falling block games and hell, aren't we all itching to use some of the points we bought this week?
Like the art style, hopefully some themes and pics roll out.
Same here other than that I dunno about this game

Huh, that certainly seems interesting. I don't think I'd pay 800 points for it, but I'll still try out the demo.

I couldn't get into this game...I thought it was lame, there's really no point to it, just twist circles to the left or to the right to align the dropping shapes until the get to the bottom...rinse, repeat.

Lame.

I dunno, Linkin, pretty high praise from IGN:

Besides, your desription applies to every puzzle game ever created (at least the "rise, repeat" part).

I might check it out. That would be pretty weird if I bought both games that came out this week after not buying anything for several months (then getting Warlords last week).

I tried the demo, and the first thing that popped into my mind was: Isn't this a baby toy?

So yeah, I thought the game was boring, and actually quite lame, and I don't think it really belongs on the Xbox 360, especially at 800 pts.

I did think the music was kinda cool though.

 My description could apply to Tetris too  :whistle2:k

Well, yeah, that's what I was getting at ;).

I liked it, and thought this was a step up from most puzzle games. It starts simple, but gets complicated fast.

I'm not sure it's something I'd ever purchase at 800pts, but who knows. Maybe some day.

I enjoyed it. As the levels progressed, it changed from one shape into one hole to two different shapes at the same time, and more and more obstacles came up. As a puzzle game, I definitely see where it can become addictive. I bought it and I don't regret it at all.

I agree. I think it's clever puzzler, despite it's childish appearnce. The speed-up mechanic in the game actually serves a purpose in this game. In Lumines or Tetris, it just hurries things along, here speeding up the fall rate is essential in advancing, yet makes it much more likely you'll make a mistake. It's a nice design feature. The game is surprisingly challenging and I really enjoy it so far.
