I don't think I have the original Pinball FX1 though... I think... gotta double check now.

ALMOST did the same thing. Surprised they aren't listed as the same item. :whistle2:/

Well I wasted 400 points. I bought the classic FX tables pack and just as I did that I remembered that I had them unlocked because I bought Pinball FX 1.
Kinda why I posted this a few pages back...

Yeah, I would advise anyone who hasn't bought Super Meat Boy to at least check it out at that price. I'll be picking up Bejeweled 2 and Stacking myself.

I'm curious to see what the one day only black Friday sales will be. I missed out on last years, so I'm on it this time

It was mentioned a couple pages ago the games listed in the Black Friday video. There's a lot of really good stuff this week. I'm tickled pink!
Okay here are the deals listed in the video.

Black Friday Nov 25
Fallout 3 for 25% off (22.49)
Warhammer Killteam 50% off (400)
Full house poker 50% off (400)
Mortal Kombat Kollection 50% (400)
+more unannounced

Cyber Monday Nov 28
Beyond good and evil 70% off (240)
Marvel Vs capcom 73% off (324)
Risk factions 75% off (200)
Dungeons and dragons daggerdale 50% off (600)
+more unannounced

Sorry if this comes out weird. I am on my phone. You have all the available info now.
Full Houe Poker is a great buy. Despite the issues with the online it is a great deal of fun. Although being a completionist I would maybe not buy it since the Spring achievements are unobtainable and the Fall ones are (hopefully) done soon.

Speaking of the video, is it up? I'd love to watch it. The Crazy Larry videos are always entertaining.

I already own most of the stuff going on sale but I'm def. gonna get BG&E for that great price, I'm hoping From Dust, Bastion, and anything else good I don't have already go on sale. lol

Ah, thanks man. I see some possible buys;)
just wanted to check that Pinball FX has been delisted right? so folks like me who have never bought it before won't be able to get it ever again from XBLA right?

so i guess if we wanted the original tables, we'll need to buy the Classic add-on pack right?
Yep

I believe all of that is correct.

Thanks for the info, I was going to buy it; but season/year specific DLC is insanely stupid...

Not necessarily, if you have the trial of Pinball FX you can still buy the full game and it'll unlock the FX2 DLC. More money than this sale, but you'd get both games. But the DLC for FX1 is also delisted so you can't complete the achievements. PM me if you want to know how to get the trial/full game still.

Thanks for all of this info. I'll be sure to pick up the packs still, since I've never owned the original game. Oh...and that sounds pretty digiex illegal. ;) We're not a'posed to talk about that.

Just watched the "crazy larry" video. Cant believe some people actually like that shit. The one thign that got to me was not only are there deals for BF and CM but this weekend theres goign to be another sale? Are we going to have 3 sales in a span of 4 days? (Bf, the weekend, then finally CM)

Ok guys/gals, I'm back to work on the OP. Was out at a Lan/Tournament/Gaming meetup. Meet the Dungeon Defenders developers. Great bunch of people.
This was my biggest hurdle initially. BG&E actually does have an axis adjustment option, but it also inverts the X-axis (you can't adjust each axis separately), making it seem almost unplayable to people who play Y-inverted.

I've noticed Y-inversion seems to be a generational thing. People who started playing more recently, like during the previous generation, all play without inversion...but those of us who started playing 3D games with the N64 were "ruined" by games like Goldeneye 007.

But since I'd downloaded the BG&E at launch, I decided to stick with it. At first I just tried to avoid moving the camera around much whenever I could. But after finishing the game, the next time I popped in Borderlands or Reach or something, it was like something was suddenly wrong! I discovered that playing through BG&E had somehow managed to "cure" me, and I've been playing everything un-inverted nowadays. (Well, except that I still wanted the ship in BG&E to drive Y-inverted, because its supposed to be like airplane controls, c'mon!)
I love this post. Kind of reminds me of the whole "gay/straight" argument (not that I want to incite any comments about it). Just how you describe that inverted is considered "wrong" and needs to be "cured". Cracked me up!

Also, I'm scared to death to be "cured". I love being inverted.

It is funny what happens when you start playing the trial games. I am really not feeling Stacking or SMB...not that they are bad but that I just do not think I will like it long term. The funny thing was I thought the pinball was going to be stupid but I had a blast. I am going to get at least the core and marvel tables. I think I will pass on The Baconing also...I played the 1st 2 to death and I really have no desire to play a third one. Also picked up the AC DLC and will most likely do the same for Homefront (going to hop online and see what is what). Will definitely get BG&E and maybe Mortal Kombat.
Non-inverted simply doesn't make sense. While this is a bit silly for my taste this recent IGN video does an excellent job of explaining why inverted is the way everyone should play. If you don't that's your choice of course, everyone has their own style.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeyD9X71Mgo
Thanks for posting this video. Laughed my ass off. Haha and fuck X-axis inversion!

I just want to go on the record again and say Outrun Online Arcade is a shell of Outrun 2006. If you have 2006 on PC or PS2 or Xbox or whatever, keep that and skip OOA unless you really feel the need.

Literally saw your post about working on it just after I posted that. Would of been done sooner but my nephew wanted to play once upon a monster some more. Your list was missing the Smoke Bomb prop if that helps.

nice sales...

will pick up sega rally and ACB DLC

Black Friday/Cyber Sales are awesome by default... BG&EHD = EPIC

It did. I copy and pasted the last few I was working on.
Any of these worth checking out?
As I said before, the premium themes aren't entirely sidelined in the new dashboard, but they are certainly pushed to the back a bit. You see less of them in the dash (more gray space on the bottom and a new menu blocking most of the theme), and the stuff that shows up in the friends list only shows up when you click on a friend. If it is still worth it for you then go ahead.
Any of these worth checking out?

No. The new dashboard barely shows themes. Don't waste $2 on something you won't hardly be able to use.

I'd say that if you have absolutely 0 premium themes, then maybe consider one. But like other have said, the new dash makes them only slightly better than using a wallpaper from your PC

Getting Risk Factions (finally lol) and Beyond Good and Evil HD. Just added 800 points and bought a couple DLCs (one for Mass Effect, the other for Lost Odyssey) for 80 points each. Can't really see those ever being discounted from that...
The old school people you're talking about, who use inverted y axis controls, are people who used joysticks and got used to it. That's not all old school people, it's the old school people that went with then inferior input device. Thankfully, I never fell into that trap and was a keyboard player from the start, then kb/m when the y axis became important.
I grew up with many years of keyboard/mouse FPS controls and found myself clamoring for an inverted Y-axis just as soon as I started playing console shooters... so your post interests me :p

picked up stacking and AC:B DLC. Can't wait for Cyber Monday sale and hoping there is some hidden gems on friday.
No new dahsboard december 6th. So anyone heard anything on these "weekend deals?"
Crazy Larry video sounded like the only weekend deal would be on xbox live gold subscription. That's what I got from it, anyway.

Just a heads up:

Cannot recommend AGAINST buying D&D: Daggerdale (a.k.a D&D: Disappointment) enough. Hasn't been patched despite literally dozens of game breaking bugs, and the developer folded soon after its release.

It will likely never be patched. It's a absolutely ass game. The only non generic thing about it is the amount of bugs that made it through. It was just whoring about the D&D name to make a quick buck.
Crazy Larry video sounded like the only weekend deal would be on xbox live gold subscription. That's what I got from it, anyway.
alright bro thanks for the reponse. I hate having to ask the same thing over and over again. Guess it just might be beyond G&E and hopefully NBA Jam?

Stupid, lucky me. I thought I had the Marvel Tables because I had been playing Captain America a lot. I remembered I was hoping for a sale. Glad I decided to play Spiderman and found I hadn't purchased them. I bought the Marvel tables and the other $2.50 tables but was too cheap to buy the $3.00 tables :) I'm out of points anyways.

I will definitely buy Beyond Good and Evil. I have it for the XBox but never got around to playing it. I have to get more points tomorrow.

I bought Shadow Complex the other week and am glad I bought it. One of the most addictive games I've played. I plan on playing for 30 minutes and end up playing a few hours.

Overall, I think I'm kind of disappointed so far. There's been nothing that's like "Yeah, no question...instapurchase!" other than BG&E for 240 points. I hope there are a couple surprises at 160 points and something out of left field like Guardian Heroes on discount (I know that's unrealistic).

beyond good and evil I cannot recommend. got it and even for as cheap as I got it, I still regret even having it in my download history. Saw the crazy larry video haha...only thing I saw from the video that i'm going to get is the Mortal Kombat Kollection.

Getting: FX2 Marvel and Core tables, AC:Brotherhood DLC, Beyond Good and Evil HD

I wish they would put 'Splosion Man on sale for 2 bucks again... missed it last year. :/ Also tempted on Super Meat Boy, but it might be too hard for me haha. Overall, nice sales on stuff I had been wanting!

Seriously? That's an f'd up number.

My gold expired a day early. At least Outrun is still 400msp. I missed out Streets of Rage2.

What's 1600 - 324? Isnt 324 about $4.05?

Yeah, I put 320 as that is more likely

I think they'll round it off to 320. If people had 6 MSP they could never get rid of because of one deal, I think it would be close to angry mob time.

Personally, I'm hoping they unfuck the prices of avatar sale stuff. They should be 120 and 160 MSP, not 140 and 190.
